@YoMommaShugga I live in Italy and I've never seen Northern Lights... All videos on youtube are in time-lapse, speeded up and with music... I'd like to see like 2 or 3 minutes of ACTUAL footage with original sound. Do they make any sound? How fast do they "go"? Maybe, since you're there, you can answer me, and if you could do that with a video... That'll be wonderful.
It happened just 2 months ago here in London ONT, And I missed it. I don't understand why it did happen because we are nowhere near the north, I saw videos of it and it took my breath away. It just goes to show you true beauty is here all along. Nature is a gift.
I saw the Northern lights for myself once in my life. I was pretty young, but I remember the experience like it was yesterday, and I can honestly say it was the most incredible thing I've ever seen.
I have saw this amazing light show before. Then i went to see JLS, Katy Perry at the Jingle Bell Ball. That was the best day of my life! If you go on to my channel you will see the northern lights. Beware, my channel has a lock on, you may not be able to connect my website to your P.C! Write now i am listening to JLS LIVE! Well i am in the toliet in the girl bathroom. So i better hurry up and get out there, cos girls just wanna have fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuun
I lived here in Tromsø almost my whole life, and I never get tired of seeing it !! These guys are standing at the EISCAT/HAARP facility in Ramfjorden just a few kilometers from Tromsø. The lights are visible up here from Sept. to April.
The power impact emerged to the sun crashes the clouds on its way of axis reproduce lights end to aurora with coldy and windy climate produce spectacular lights
The power impact emerged to the sun crashes the clouds on its way of axis reproduce lights end to aurore with cody and windy climate produce spectacular lights
I did my military service up in Swedish Lappland inside the arctic circle a few years ago. In all of February there were northern lights almost every single night, and for that whole month we were outside constantly.
Before going to bed in our tents we would lay in the snow for a while drinking the compulsory liter of warm juice watching the sky. MY GOD SO BEAUTIFUL, northern lights so green. Every now and then we would also see satellites passing over in space, everything crystal clear.
Question: Is the northern light driven by the natural wind currents mixed with the chemicals/gases at a perfect moment when the light from the sun reaches the mixed particles from the blown jet streams/ natural wind currents, mixed with the ice and dust particles that create the light reflections we see as the northern lights and not just an illusion of them being charged and lit up by ionization of the mixed concoction or just being lit up by the light reflections of the earth wobble!!
@curtbarile Nortern lights are coronal ejections from the sun or plasma.Driven by solar winds towards the earth they are attracted by the earths magnetic field. In lamens terms the magnetic pole.Upon arrival the winds are travelling 400 kms an hour. When the plasma hits the ionosphere they change into ionized gas, where 40,000-200,000 volts of electricity ignites it. O my God! I'm going on vacation to Finland. The northern light is above my hotel there. Oh im so excited im going to see it, my very big dream. I'm going to have no sleep though =P
One of my five goals in life is to see the Northern Lights in person. I think my decision to move to Alaska when I get the money will definitly make this goal.
@whiskeygirl1005 Auroras result from emissions of photons in the Earth's upper atmosphere, above 80 km (50 miles), from ionized nitrogen atoms regaining an electron, and oxygen and nitrogen atoms returning from an excited state to ground state. They are ionized or excited by the collision of solar wind particles being funneled down and accelerated along the Earth's magnetic field lines; excitation energy is lost by the emission of a photon of light, or by collision with another atom or molecule
@xEviCTiioNx Its actually quite simple, when it gets dark enough, you can see the atmosphere mix with space and "dance around" witch is a beautiful sight to see. That is a "Aurora"

Amazing...in northern latitudes, the effect is known as the 'aurora borealis', named after the Roman goddess of dawn, 'Aurora' plus the Greek name for the north wind, 'Boreas', right?
god they told the worst myths ever! bet they didn't know any. Back in the days they believed that the aurora would come and take you whistle at it or threw snow up in the air whenever there was an aurora. And some say that your forefathers spirits are up there.
Watching this vid makes me miss home. I grew up 4 hours south of tromsø, and i miss being up north now when it's getting dark and cold. dunno if there have been any polar lights there yet, but i bet there will be pretty soon!
@1337manz I'm from Thailand, and I just went to Tromso this past Christmas. Saw the Northern Lights there - absolutely amazing. Awesome, awesome place :)
@1337manz Lucky you! I went to Tromsø in January and saw the aurora within 10 minutes of arriving. It was one of those "want to see once in my life" things but I want to see it again!
@DannySnuttz lmfao no not at first... i mean the world is gonna end for a fact we just dont know when.. and after watching that conspiracy theories its kind of made me open minded about it.. and nasa is saying there are going to be " solar storms" on the sun 2012.. and that it can knock out half of Americas electricy or some shit like that from the radiation... lol im prepared though
29 October 2003 is the biggest Aurora on record ! it lasted for several days. and according to one of my contacts in Tromso(Inger) did indeed make the snow appear red. It was also seen as far away a Tenerife. From my location in N.E. England the curtain extended from West to East with the vertical rays stretching directly overhead to the south. I woundn't say i was sentimental, but it has effected me in ways i cant even explain.
I LIVE IN NORWAY ! AND THERE IS NORTHERN LIGHTS OUTSIDE NOW :D
