  • Anybody else notice that this is the same music you hear in the beginning of the 1998 film Thin Red Line? The film's soundtrack was composed by Hans Zimmer and that piece is called Intro/Melanesian Life.

  • This movie MADE 21st Century zombie movies, hands down.

  • 28 Months Later out in 2013...

  • There is no hope the world is going insane

  • seriously,my favorite zombie movie and I like your post!

  • its a motorway not high wat lol

  • red dead redemption undead nightmare film would be sick. it would by pass 28 days later

  • WHAT

    THE

    FUCK

    Is everyone talking about!?!?!?!!?!?

  • I noticed a wave of good and inovative zombie British films lately.

    I saw 28 months later last night...Scarry!!!

Ooops! That was a documentary about Queen Elizabeth II. Sorry!

  • Love to drive on a deserted Highway!

  • @MrPetrolhead09 Motorway, not Highway.

  • picture jennifer lopez slowly taking her cloths off while listening to this...i know that sounds weird but alittle but of gosple music could be nice sometimes.

  • 5 people ate shit and vomited and died like faggots and perverts (the people who disliked this)

  • If it weren't for this film and Emmerdale, I wouldn't know about this film. This song was played on Emmerdale when Mark was going to kill himself. I have this song on my iPod, and I will make this song my phones ringtone.

  • I could listen to this forever.

  • Someone else has undoubtedly stated this earlier, but the composer is Gabriel Faure. And I agree with the comments - all the high-tech veneer of American films cannot match the powerful undertow of this dark masterpiece from the British Isles

shot undoubtedly on one-tenth the budget, if even that.

  • Britain knows how to make some seriously good zombie movies

  • @bookofeli123 well they made it more realistic...its not what the typical americans do and have ppl coming back from the death from an "unkown" reason like all their zombie films..in this its not walking dead just rage infection from infect animals but still have the same concept which is even better

  • only one thing to say," this piece of music is not long enough!"

  • this is music at its best

  • Comment removed

  • i guess this is from the thin red line soundtrack

  • Love the way gets the camera moves back to show Manchester a flame

  • Hey Jim, give me some orange juice

    Jim: It's empty....

  • DANNY BOYLE IS SAID TO MAKE 28 MONTHS LATER FOR 2011 !!!!!!!!! cant wait

  • basically the zombies which arent, are the infected from a virus ok :P good song btw !

  • Danny Boyle is an amazing director, so diverse. His endings always go a little out there, but his films have some unforgettable moments. This was one for me in this movie, love the road-trip feeling contrasted with the utter devastation. A beautiful piece of music.

  • i want to kill some zombies

  • zombies??? I think they drink in my local

  • the defintion of zombies is over my head you mite as well call them what you want and stop arguing about it

  • They are alive humans, they die by gunshots to the stomache, and they starve to death

  • I couldn't care less if they were cookie men, this song is blissful.

  • OMFG STFU GUYS!!!

FUCKING LAME ARGUEMENT IS GAY SHUT THE FUCK UP!!!

  • i just hear a music so alike this on a an anime called H.O.T.D

    it was awesome

    like this movie D:

  • Infecteds are a kind of zombies. Zombie isnt a synonym for undead. The word zombie means something like "mindless slave", and the rage infected seem to be enslaved under the virus.

  • 6Death6By6Metal, it`s spelt "almighty" . Just thought I`d mention it.

    Great music, great film,

  • What road are they driving on????

  • Hey. All of you guys who are arguing should really just stop fucking typing. It's the god damn internet, stop taking it so seriously. Your lives can't be that dull that you need to debate whether they are Infected or Zombies. However, It's a matter of fact that they ARE Infected for arguments sake. So leave it at that. Stop making yourselves look like fools. We are all here because we appreciate the music and the film. Not to argue about who is right and who is wrong.

  • i feel like flying

  • They aren't zombies yes, because iin 28Days/Weeks they shot the body and the infected died, as in Dawn of the Dead and Shaun of the Dead they need to be shot in the head.

  • Did Brian Eno put together the music for this film? He seems involved in a lot of Danny Boyle's films....

Anyway, this and "East Hastings" were the stand out bits of music of the film for me.

    Very enjoyable!

  • This brings a tear to my eye.

  • What about a` 28 Months Later` ?

  • apparently a third film is coming but danny boyle said it wont be called 28 months later

  • @jamspice11 the should make a prequal called 28 hours later, i'd love to see that. anyway i loved the first movie and this song always reminds me of it.

  • @jamspice11 I personally thought that 28 Weeks Later was no where near as good as the first. It may be because it was not directed by Danny Boyle or written by Alex Garland (the first one was). If the third one is. It could be good... but if it follows the trend between the already released two... i can't see it being brilliant...

  • @ClashCityRockerz it wasn't as good in my opinion because with the first one it had a more independent European feel but with 28 weeks its all about Americans so it really turns into another Hollywood movie.

  • this movie was not scary it instilled fear and terror into your heart and soul

  • this was a great film most people just think "zombie" films sould be about " look a zombie lol i just found an ak-47" and this film is not it has a great plot 5star film

  • one of the best films ever made - buy british

  • 100% agree, 9 years on and this is still one of my fave ever movies, danny boyle you legend!

  • @trj23100 One of the best film's ever made by the British?

  • Danny Boyle & Ken Loach, amazing UK directors.

  • This is a movie that set a new bar for how to create scary frightening movies. Instead of just gore and guts, there is a story, a connection with the characters, a believability to the whole thing.... Unlike some movies, I am more impressed with catching myself muttering get in the fucking car, when they are trying to fix the tire, or the words the end is nigh, so fuckin repent.... This movie is one of the all time greats for me, when it comes to still being frightened after I watch it!

  • Even though it wasn't rated that highly, I personally found this film so frightening, I couldn't sleep for about 2 or 3 days.

  • So powerful and so hopless!

  • I recommend you to buy the soundtrack. It is phenomenal. Cheers.

  • Magnificent song and a fantastic movie!

  • OH MY GOD! Thank you! I have been looking for this track since I first watched the movie (about 5 years ago XD)

  • I have to watch this film again, I forgot how good it was. This is quite a song.

  • I always Imangined there being a video game to the movie where you set fire to manchester at some point in the game, where the story ends and then it all zooms out with this song to Jim, Selena, Frank, and Hannah all driving up in the taxi.

  • I love this track, and what an amazing film great post 5 stars

  • what's the song when they are in the supermarket?? you know when they shopping...that happy nice song..anyone?

  • @andree1991 28 days later soundtrack A.M. 180. enjoy my friend

  • Hey thanks a lot man!

  • @andree1991 no problem andree, please add me as a friend, my channel is nothing to shout about at the moment but feel free to take a look at the main video on there, its a stroke of brilliance

  • A.M. 180 by Grandaddy

  • i just cried ;(

  • just reminds me of my travleing to manchester when i used to go there a lot, every time the bus would pull up i'd be like "the city of manchester and not a single fire crew to put it out"

  • i really liked the tranquil on-the-road part of this movie where its just the car traveling on abandoned highways accompanied with this music. i think this was missing in 28 weeks later and wouldve made that film alot better

  • this song is beauitful

  • this song its perfect for the start of a anti villians redemption

  • its funny how when this song is playing theres explosions and fire infront of them (hence the smoke)

  • I loved this part, the song with the scenery flowed so well, epic.

  • Best survival/horror this decade. Hands down.

  • whoever said dawn of the dead was out first is correct but the novel of 28 days later im pretty sure was out first

  • u serious? no cheesys? GOD DAMMIT!!

  • no Cheese burgers fucking hell

  • WE DONT HAVE ANY CHEESE-BURGERS

  • fujimofo what, no CHEEZBURGERS !?!?!?! :(

  • They arent fucking Zombies! stop saying that.

    I N F E C T E D

  • Its still wierd though...they got infected with...rage...

  • I hear you on that bro

Zombies don't fucking run and don't turn in a couple of seconds..

The people in this movie are infected with rage

  • personally i beleive its not just rage, its also somewhat like a "zombie" infection. if they were just in a shit loud of rage, they would kill everyone ,even others with rage, like real people. and theyd also probably would use weapons like crowbars and stuff. so i think it also has a bit of a zombie mix

  • I agree it's a bit of a zombie mix, but they are however in a shit loud of rage. The reason they don't attack each other is because they use their sense of smell to distinguish non-infected from their own.

In the book "The Aftermath" a lone survivor called Hugh sees an infected attack a mannequin doll doused with perfume, meaning they react to trace amounts of chemical products such as shampoo and perfume to know who is not infected, seeing as all the infected smell the same.

  • sooo..... the infected smell like rotten zombies of some sort? interesting, i never thought they use smell, i thought it was just they hear survivors, see them and attack.

  • I don't really know what the infected smell like, but I think they smell like shit. And yeah, I had no idea they used their smell either, I thought they just heard and saw them too until I read the book. Hugh (in the book) fights against another survivor who had commandeered an armored army vehicle, and when the other survivor retreats to the vehicle, Hugh throws downs about a gallon of perfume on the truck and an entire army of infected attack the vehicle and kill the other survivor.

  • it might just be that they hate perfume. sounds silly but its a possibility.or they really like it so it attracts them. ive played a game, left 4 dead, and if u blow up a fat zombie he explodes with bile, which attracts zombies. fun game :D

  • Yeah, I've played left 4 dead too. It's awesome, though I hate boomers. Ugly and fucking annoying. There's a left 4 dead 2 coming, if you didn't know. I'm looking forward to it, but so far I don't like the character designs (those you play as) they just look silly.

  • ya i heard of l4d 2. i hope a couple things change, like the campaigns and the special infected

  • except for coach, he looks badass

  • I know right. A hillbilly, a black urban (slut?) an overweight black (buisnessman?) and then a shiffty looking guy. There are going to be knive fights for that shifty guy lol.

  • Can't wait for the melee wepons --- CHAINSAW!!!!

  • no idea why the zombies don't just eat the boomer (fat zombie) if his smell is so good to them

  • so rub old meat on yourself and dont wash and you might stand a chance ?

  • yeah or just don't clean yourself and take rain showers

  • rage = aids

    thats why monkeys had them.

rage/aids doenst really make them like that there just pissed the condom broke

  • lawl!!!!!!

  • Rage was a modified version of the Ebola virus designed to reduce agressor response. Unfortunately, it backfired and increased the subject's survival instincts to the point where they became animalistic and lost free will.

  • UR RIGHT MAN!!!!!!!

  • @chommy Do people not realize that pop culture definitions change and broaden? "The Infected" in this movie are "Zombies" for the 21st century.

  • @6Death6By6Metal They arent zombies of the 21st century, Zombie films are still being released, do some research and you will find over 30 movies this year.

Dying and coming back to life as something that drools and moves in slow motion only wanting to eat brains compared to a human that doesnt die and becomes infected with a virus known as R.A.G.E and wanting to destroy anything and everything in its path.

The Directors where very clear on this point and have said it in countless interviews.

  • @chommy >< I can see that no matter what I say, you aren't going to try and see it my way. So thank you for your time.

  • @6Death6By6Metal I do see what you are trying to say, ofcourse i do, its the same as alot of other people on this video but you arent realising there is a difference, your at fault, not me.

" Thank you for your time "

  • @chommy

No. YOU'RE just not open to a broader definition of things.

Also, if YOU'RE going to try and make me look stupid, or be an ass about it at least, then please, for the love of all mighty God, learn to punctuate YOUR sentences correctly instead of just placing random commas wherever you may please.

P.S. I hope you can read between the lines.

  • @6Death6By6Metal That is the limitations of Youtube, not my Grammar.

PS You are an obese Goth.

  • @chommy

I honestly don't see how you can blame YouTube for your incompetent grammar (little 'g'), or even say that it's the cause for your poorly structured sentence.

    P.S

So 128 lbs. is obese now?

  • @chommy who cares????? zombie is a nick name for undead... they are undead...

  • @laservader1 They never die, they just become infected with a virus you assholes. Last ill say anything on it.

  • @chommy just stfu and gfto there zombies/undead indected who cares? its a great films leave it at that :)

  • @laservader1 I wont stfu or gtfo either, cause im right and your wrong, dickhead.

  • @chommy ur right about a film well done.... u sad fucker

  • @chommy

    They are zombies.

  • @CJYOUFCKINBUSTER no, they are not zombies, they are ALIVE, they are INFECTED, zombies are undead.

  • @leeho98

    They are zombies.

  • @leeho98 undead means alive retard

  • @JuggaCarl no, undead is another word for living dead. now living dead are not alive, they are dead and walking, retard.

  • @chommy Bill: They're zombies, Francis.

  • @chaoislandx You Troll! :)

  • @chommy Francis: How do ya know that?

  • @chommy cmon man does it really matter i mean they look like zombies but are called infected.

  • @anusalltheway Sigh :( - I keep getting emails about this even 1 year from when I posted that message with all the thumbs up which would suggest alot of people agreed with me.

My point was that they are Infected, to call them Zombies would imply that they died and came back to life because of some sort of voodoo curse or indeed a virus.

A corpse comes back to life from a graveyard thanks to a virus, its a zombie.

Someone is attacked in the street and bitten with rage virus, Infected.

  • Comment removed

  • @anusalltheway I am not that fussed about the discussion any more the real reason I came to this video was simply because of the song which is in my opinion, EPIC.

  • Um....there isn't any zombies in 28 Days Later. They're people infected with the Rage Virus. Very similar though. I think the Dawn fo the Dead remake riped off from this and made their zombies zombies run and stuff-like the infected.

  • You do realize that the original Dawn of the Dead movie is older than 28 Days Later. So don't be making up stuff you don't know anything about or are to lazy to research.

  • This film, must be one of the best British Movies of modern times. It definately lead the way in terms of horror/thrillers. I just wish people would STOP calling the infected zombies. They are infected, but NOT zombies. Hence the "I hate you" line from the kid at the service station.

    THAT INCLUDES YOU CHANNEL 4

  • NO WAYY Thee Kiid At The serviice statiion saiid I Hate Yuuee

Im Watching tht part agen.. he Kid at the burger shop fingyy Where Frank sucks out the diesel ?

  • could you send this song to me please

  • This song would have been good in 28 Weeks Later, for the part where Andy and Tam are going home through devastated London.

  • haha ur right :)

  • how they got the motorways clear for those shot where amazing! and the music is A* grade.

  • YOu can feel the releif and freedom that they must have felt.
