  • Love this stripped down version! Sir Paul, you are fabtastic!

  • I love the way he sings it. A bit rough but still very cute and 100% Macca-like :D

  • i am young man and Paul's music is one of the things i admire the most, the best thing that happened to my life is Paul's music, thank you god for giving us this man

  • amazing

  • great song, wish it weren't monotone.

  • I hate all those fuckers that have a knock at Paul McCartney. This guy is one of the best things that ever happened in the the history of the world. Was in the BEATLES, made a shit load of good solo stuff, yes he did, and is a top, top human being. Paul, I applaud you, Sir xxxx

  • does anyobne know what the drummer name is ???

  • @anchorrot

    Musicians:

Paul McCartney: Lead vocal, Acoustic guitar, Bass, Harmonies, Keyboards, Rhythm Guitar,

    Tambourine, Sitar, Wine Glasses, Harmonium

Hamish Stuart: Acoustic Guitar, Harmonies, Second Vocal, Rhythm Guitar

    Chris Whitten: Drums, Percussion

Robbie Mclntosh: Electric guitar, Acoustic guitar

    Linda McCartney: Harmonies

    Judd Lander: Harmonies

  • @anchorrot His name is Chris Whitten..and he was definately not the best drummer Macca has ever worked with..He always played everything a tad too slow in my opinion..Made the band drag a bit..Joe English and Abe (Pauls current drummer)are tops..Geoff Britton and Denny Seiwell were not too shabby either though.

  • Five people were waiting for a better moment to like this video

  • an absolute germ

  • Calling Paul McCartney a genius is the biggest understatement.

  • Paul's had more drummers than Carter has pills.

    No, not Jimmy.

  • @Sungodv Wow Carter had liver pills that is an old expression that reminds me of my youth.LOL

  • 1:08 'Thank you for the smile' :)

  • @rkogts619 for john............

  • great Maccartney

  • this is horrible sound, it all comes out on the left speaker only!

  • One of my favorite songs of Paul's after the Beatles.................Peace and Love

  • yes, this band was the best to compliment Paul's vocals since the Beatles era! Does anyone know where I can obtain the full video for all tracks of this studio session? Its just a great performance! Thanks~

  • Pauly my Dear your are the most succefull songwriter ever my love¡¡¡¡¡

  • there never could have been a better moment...than this one..

  • Tambourine is one of the hardest instrument to play live. I'm a musician myself. It seems Linda does it flawless. I've always heard people saying she sucked..?

  • Mamm r'o' carmen!!!!!!!!!!! GENIUS!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • cool video! whata great song!

  • the drummer is called chris witten... this was one of his first pro gigs

  • What's the name of the drummer in this video?

  • for me this is the best band in Mc Cartney individual era.

  • groovy drummer

  • Pauly my dear..I love this song is kind of nostalgic. The most lovely couple:Linda and Paul.

  • I've `

  • Flowers in the D is the last BIG and Important Macca Record...

special place in my heart with Tug of War and Pipes of Peace

  • @amico78 Well my friend you forget one of the best: Flaming Pie was a hit.

  • @amico78

Chaos Creation kinda made a big splash too.

  • Great rehearsal version of This One! I'm just rediscovering the Flowers In the Dirt album, it has some of Paul's best latter day songs. Hard to believe it was just over, um, twenty years ago today.

  • Wonderful.

    Quite simply......

  • This... nature wonder.

  • from 'flowers in the dirt' cd.

sir paul is timeless! he gets better & better as he grows older. mabuhay ka sir paul!

  • with this song i remember to someone that was special for me, thanks paul for this gift

  • Thanks, Paul.

  • GENIUS! one of the many words to describe Sir Paul! Idol forever!

  • This song is a gem. I've never seen Paul perform it live the four times I've seen him live. I wonder why since he performs a lot of his non-Beatles songs in concert.

  • Fabulous song.. paul is a genius.

  • man, I love this song!

it's just man it just melts me!

    Paul is so gorgeous!

  • i love you paul mccartney

    REMEMBER PAUL:

    BEATLES FOREVER!!!!!!

  • I miss this song. I searched for this today here because I'm thinking of particular someone. :-). Thank you for posting.

  • u need to re upload it with the sound comming out of both sides...only got it comming out of 1 side of my headphones, it feels odd lol, but great song when heard properly :D

  • this reminds me of me and my friend

  • according the the album notes, Trevor Horn, plays keyboard and produces this, along with Elvis Costello, and David Foster. I figured the later two, and knew Elvis for sure. However I was surprised to see Trevor's name. So who is the drummer? Dave Mattacks or Chris Whitten? Paul Wicksen's name isnt anywhere to be found either. Many keyboards though, lists Linda as mini moog, and backing vocals. This and We Got Married, greatest tunes on here.

  • Mye bra her, og mye gammelt, koooz

  • At 1:08, he does the crazy John smile! Again! Just like in the "live '1990" version. Cool.

  • It's not a "John" smile. It's his own characteristic and really cute smile that he does randomly both now and in the Beatle days (just look at some of the interviews). He's not trying to copy John.

  • No That Is Defanatly The "John Smile".

  • fantastic song, thanks Paul! Gold rings on ya!

  • woooooooo

is FANTASTIC and not silly at all =D

  • One of my favorites also. Thanks!

  • this is a swing song.

    i love the melody.

  • one of my mccartney favourites!

  • What ever happen to Robbie M and the rest.

  • He stopped touring and ditched his elite band when he did the Beatles Anthology. He wanted a new band during Driving Rain after Linda died, possibly because he felt that this band had too many memories (Linda was a big part of it).

  • perfect song

  • Paul mccartney is my father yehey!!.. weeeeeeee.. ^_^

  • A favourite song - This One! Thanks for posting.

  • I agree with all of the above. Great tune from 1989!

  • Great harmony...

  • This might be the best version of this song. You can hear the Rickenbacker clearly, and everybody's voice is perfect in this.

  • =) one of my favorite songs
