  • without Ofra it doesn't sound quite right

  • One of the few versions in which Ofra Haza didn't play Yocheved.

  • VERY GOOD.

  • japanese! wowwwww!

  • It's cool to hear that in different languages (different recordings) different vocal lines are brought out then in the regular recording. For example, the descending line in the tenor at 1:15 is not that prominent in other recordings I've heard. It's pretty epic :D

  • @musicmanaj92 I heard it too, and it's not in the other movies. Cool

  • Brain automatically translates >.> still cries.

  • his mother sounded really pretty in Japanese o:

  • I love it! :)

  • I've heard this in English, Hebrew and Japanese. This is a powerful song in any language.

  • @NelyaAmniaRhys Try Finnish one /watch?v=kmiH66zxg7s , amazing Ofra Haza and one of the greatest man choirs! (Lyrics are also very touching but you won't understand I guess:P)

  • Do you have Deliver Us in Korean? I've been looking for it.

  • Fucking pure awesomeness. I watched this movie not long ago, after not having watched it in years. I love it.. and song in Japanese? Brilliant. ♥

  • Love this! Its amazing in all languages.

  • How do you loop the video?

  • Someone here, there know where i can this song in 'danish' :)

  • This song sounds epic in all languages.

  • So emotional version version! I love Japanese!! ^^ <33

  • What happened to all the sound effects??

  • In Japanese version, Ofra haza didin't sing.

    Miyako Ogawa did :)

  • How the hell can she sing good in all of these languages!

  • @Redjoker96 She has a gorgeous voice and it does sound like her.....but its not her its Miyako Ogwawa :D

  • @Lovergal709 i mean ogawa lol

  • @Lovergal709 ya but Ofra Haza still sing the 'Mawall' in that ver

  • I seriously miss this movie. Prince of Egypt has one of the most powerful songs there ever is..

  • @feenix00 i have this movie and i have seen it on dvd

  • @feenix00 How do you miss a movie? Just pop it in the player if you want to see it again! :-)

  • @pumkette She didnt dub aisian languages

  • wtf she died?

  • Why is that regardless of any language, it still brings tears to my eyes?

  • It's amazing how this song gets so powerful in every language ! I just watched Engligh, French, Hebrew, Italian and Japanese versions, love it :o

  • @Gloomilie Check out the Finnish one as well! :) Finnish is my mother tongue so I obviously love it, but it really is very a powerful version of this. (and it's AMAZING that Ofra Haza learnt the finnish lyrics, even though this is a hard language for a foreigner to speak)

  • Thumbs up if you want the whole movie uploaded

  • So dramatic.

  • AMAZING!

  • thats one lucky basket

  • @belle14073 I think that was the point. Moses kept nearly getting killed, but god kept getting in the way in time or what have you to save him. That is what I assumed.

  • @icetyrant It's right. And from this movie, if Miriam (Moses' sister) had been found at the palace she would have been killed.

  • I had no idea this movie was done in so many different languages. The multiple versions of this song is awesome!

  • The one who played as moises mom in the one who did the singing in japanese she sings so beautiful

  • @lilguy1171 I'm christian and japanese, does that mean I have no soul?

  • @japaneseladysamurai no you do have a soul. at least your not an athiest. i just wish that there were more christians in japan though

  • @lilguy1171 I see what you're saying, good news though, there are baptist churches in Japan so alot of japanese are becoming christians.

Sad thing is, no one ever hears about it :(

  • @japaneseladysamurai

    I do believe everyone has a soul, be they Christian or not. I'm Christian myself, but I do not believe in God. Perhaps my faith is weak but I suffered countless nightmares for years and no matter how hard I prayed to God, they just continued. Finally, I found Amaterasu and I asked that maybe, just maybe, she could make the nightmares go away. I also wrote the same prayer on my door. It's been over 3 years and I haven't had a single nightmare since then. ^^;

  • @YaoiIsMySin that doesnt makeany god damn sence. how could you be a christian and not believe in a god? this is why i hate athiest and agnostics theyre incompitant. and they also dont believe in religous sacred values. athiest believe in gay marriage, abortion and they hate christians and muslims. also im a christian born in qatar but i have muslim morals and values and we tend to be very happy with ourselfs along with muslims. im orry but athiests and agnostics are souless.

  • @lilguy1171

Never crossed your mind that I'm Christian because my parents were? I didn't want to go through confirmation (I know I spelled that wrong) but my parents made me. And I'm not atheist, though I admit I have slight hint of agnostic in me but I do believe in Amaterasu. It's not like the God is only real one around there. And btw, I support gay marriage but I do not hate Christians nor Muslims, I respect other people's religion and belief, unlike you it seems. :/

  • @lilguy1171 Oh and please don't say G.D, using the Lord's name with a swear word is not very good. It's also a sin *Thou shall not use the Lord's name in vain* It's also not good to judge people, it's not our place to judge it's God place to judge. We were meant to love everyone and keep our hearts open and pray for them. Also God says not to hate :)

  • @japaneseladysamurai well...i just want to say thanks to you because you believe in jesus (or in my native language "isa"). may god and jesus bless you with good luck. and im sorry i used G.D.

  • @lilguy1171 and God bless you too :)

  • @lilguy1171 I thought we all have a soul? Its just a matter of it going to hell or heaven after it dies. Personally I think I would be going to limbo to met other noble heathens like Aristotle. Most of the people where I come from(Sweden) are apatheists which mean they dont think one way or another about god, gods or divinities. Just be nice and do everything in moderation. Tread softly on lifes path and dont make a mess. Others are using it too.

  • @japaneseladysamurai but heres my concern with the japanese (esepecially their women). they like to read yaoi which is disterbing. infact if my county's (qatar is where im from) gov finds out youve been reading yaoi you get the death penalty. 2nd since most are athiest and hardly christian at all they dont have the same morals or values as a muslim or a devout catholic. for example most like to have sex on the first date. i hope one day japan has a christian majority one day

  • @lilguy1171 well many gay men like to read yayoi too, I HATE yayoi or anything invovling porn, it's just gross. I'm abstinent and I'm VERY devoted to my christian relgion. I'm half italian/half japanese and grew up with a christian mother and grandparents. I wish too there were more christians in Japan but that doesn't mean there AREN'T any. There are christians and churches in Japan but not many. But we need to keep our prayers and our hearts open to those countries :)

  • @lilguy1171 hahahahahhhahhahhahhaha seriously?

  • say whatever you want, but text "satto my baby" doesn't fit at all =/

  • favolosaaaaaaaaaaaa!!! mi piace troppooooo!!!! <3 *_*

  • No offense to ofra haza fans but honestly she's nothing compared to the guys in this song.

  • Is it really true that Ofra Haza doesn't sing in this? Is there proof or anything? Because it sounds like her voice to me. Either way, whoever is singing this is amazing.

  • @orangegreendaysuite No, it's not her. It's just another person who sounds a LOT like her. They taught the singer the words for beginning of her part.

  • definitely better then the english version .... actually probably the best

  • wow this also sounds great!!!! czech, japanese and english versions are all equally amazing!

  • @UchihaKat thank you that's what I was thinking.

  • kawaiii. miriam-chan

  • sukuri no!!!

  • @cjmallet interesting man but I have a question, japan and england are as far apart as possible without being on separate hemispheres. I mean Europeans didn't reach japan until only about 800 years ago and those were the portugese who sold the japenese firearms. By the time the english reached japan their language was very organized and structured. And trade between those nations wasnt very high till england colonized hong kong.

  • did you know japenese is part of chinese and a bit of english.thats why in japenese songs you here englisg words in them ro a few of chinese words.

  • @cjmallet

The japanese written language does have some chinese characters (Kanji, right? Or am I confused with the other script?) They also do use some english letters and words, but that's more a pop culture thing than formal japanese. I'm under the understanding that english words are very "cool" in several parts of Asia- like Japan.

  • @SomePeopleLikeThem you don't have to respect it as historical fact respect it as a story that means alot to millions of people. Respect it as a fable about never giving up hope. And think of it as a story even if you don't beleive it is a story that is just awsome.

  • @DesertBloodRose457 I see good for you man I like atheists who can still have respect for religion. And I think anyone can enjoy prince of Egypt songs because their simply well written songs that sound awsome in any language.

  • sugoi

  • It's true that ofra haza sang this song in 17 languages including Japanese!

  • @HSR95 Not including Japanese. I don't know why people are thinking this one is Ofra. They both have powerful vibrato, but otherwise this one is clearly not Ofra. Ofra's voice is much more chillingly powerful.

  • "The truth is that virtually every modern archeologist who has investigated the story of the Exodus, with very few exceptions, agrees that the way the Bible describes the Exodus is not the way it happened, if it happened at all." -- rabbi David Wolpe from the 2001 LA Times featured article "Doubting The Story Of The Exodus"-

the jews have never been enslaved but rather are the enslavers. The primitive masses are easily fooled through bogus historical narratives such as "The Exodus".

  • Goddamn, this is almost... operatic.

That said, "hayaku" is the most amazing word for "hurry up" ever!

  • Im an American but I like the japenese probly my second favorite countemry japan or Australia. The japenese have good voices but the original is more powerful and Christianity and judism is weak in japan.

  • @Bwkjam that is true, but (being a person who is an atheist) it holds a deeper meaning of hope even when you have nothing to hope for. When you've been kicked to the lowest point you can still get up and win.

  • This makes me smile

  • whoa this gives me goosebumps

  • I'm sorry. I can't take this seriously. xD

  • I agree. I'm atheist and I still find this movie and it's songs lovely, even if I don't believe this ever happened. Just chill, okay? People have different opinions/ religions ect. So, get over it. ありがとございおます。

  • I always get goosebumps...this movie is so powerful no matter the language!

  • The look on baby Moses's face when she opened the basket, kawaii.

  • the mixture of hebrew and japanese is beautiful here.

  • i like how they make it seem like its going to be a gentle tranquil ride and then turns into a vicius torent of death and the kid thought it was fun

  • Excelent localization. Very good.

  • きれいな声でこの歌を歌える人は面白くていいじゃん

  • the voices in japanese always are beautifual and fit well with the movies they transfer from english to japanese. i love the womans voices espcially!

  • Ofra did all languages of this. She was amazing, spreading the story. she had amazing talent, the voice of an angel!

  • @canIhazaFanBase

sorry this version not ofra haza.sing by 小川美也子(miyako ogawa) and 清水彩花(ayaka shimizu)

  • I cried... and I don't even know Japanese. There's something about it.

  • Is it just me, or are the harmonies more distinct in the Japanese version?

  • @KarimeAishitake Yeah, you can tell the Japanese are the masters of animated films/series, they put so much more emotion into voice acting <3

  • @Annewolf89 You know the woman singing this in Japanese was Ofra Haza, the same person who sang it in English (and almost all of the versions of it), right? So, uh. :/

  • @stopthatgirl7 yes!!!Ofra Haza!!TTTTTT

  • I cry every dayum time! KANASHII DESUUU!! nya =(

  • not to atart another fight but (dont take this the wrong way) but i think this song sounds better in its native tounge (hebrew) or in english

  • @ohahmenuts For me it's the same - but that's because I grew up with the English version. I think that if I grew up with this one, it would've been different for me..

  • Damn, fantastic singing here!

  • Man. it's amazing how Ofra's voice was still strong and beautiful... in all those languages!

R.I.P. Ofra. No voice could ever replace yours.

  • @GarudaSmash wait what? Ofra is dead? since when???

  • @EverydayTechable She died in 2000, I think she died from Pneumonia

  • @GarudaSmash Um... as amazing and incredible and jaw-dropping and breathtaking as Ofra was, this version is quite clearly not sung by Ofra except for the wailing.

  • @GarudaSmash SHE DiED ? D:

  • @swaaagzz Yes,She died in 2000. She was only 42 years old :(

  • @Shyreenify omg!! how did she die?! that makes the song even sadder

  • @miyavime2 according to IMDB she died of AIDS-related pneumonia. very sad

  • @heathermcd89

It is more sad that she was killed. Some say she haven't aids, some say they (government) infected her deliberately because she knew much about kidnapping Yemenite Jews in Israel.

  • @GarudaSmash Oh no, I didn't know she died?!!! How sad and man what a loss to music! She will truly be missed! Thanks for letting us know, Garuda. :)

  • The Japanese part is off right here (今、絶望の過酷な日々 )

  • Did Ofra Haza sing it in Japanese too? I heard she sang her part in 28 languages...

  • @phangirl91 No, you can hear the difference after listening to the others (through voice and vibratto). Makes little sense after she sang in mandarin/cantonese.

  • I don't speak a word of Japanese, but hearing this version of this song brought a tear to my eye, just as it did the first time I heard it in English. Masterful singing all around. Thanks for uploading, friend!

  • Molto bella! (very beatiful), ma la versione Italiana è la più bella!!

  • I think this version is the best ^^

    -Norway

  • Gänsehaut *-*

  • Lol I love how no one dares to dub over Ofra at 4:16 to 4:29.

    thats how epic she is!

  • @pirategirl94best I think it is Ofra Haza.

  • @pirategirl94best Ofra Haza sings the entire Japanese version, not only that part.

  • @FieldmarshaAzael Lol seriously? Cus when she's singing the hebrew part in the beginning it doesnt sound like her voice at all :/

  • @pirategirl94best That's not Ofra in this version...

  • @pirategirl94best They are like "Dude, don't you even."

  • Ofra Haza, who voiced Yocheved, sang the opening song "Deliver Us" in 28 languages in which the film was released, in addition to her native Hebrew language.

  • I am in love with this song <3

  • the story told all across the world.

  • The voice of Miriam...beautiful!

  • @LoriRitz1

her name is Ofra Haza, an israeli singer known all over the world

she died of AIDS some years ago

  • @MadHatterGuy Yeah, she died like in '07.

  • @Kitteepaws90

    she died in 2000

  • @MadHatterGuy Yeah, it was a typo. My bad. Either way, most beautiful voice to have ever echoed throught this world.....

  • well... I'm not sure, but just before the baby is left in the river I heard something like ゴド. when in the english version it sais something like " stay in the God's path"

  • ナマで聴きたいw

  • Aww... I remember this movie. It broke my hurt to see the cruel punishment towards the Hebrew people.

  • Wow... Nice dub!

  • I love the voice of the girl who sings Mariams song <3

And I gotta say that this version has one of my favourite choirs. The part around 6:14 is just beautiful beyond belief. :')

  • Wow, when the little girl started singing at the end, I thought for a moment that it must be the most beautiful sound on earth

  • japanese has to be the best one in my opinion

  • WOW!! I think I will like this song in every posible language... I heard it in Hebrew, Czech, English and now this... wow. ... Atashi wa kono uta ga daisuki desu.

  • I have watched the Prince of Egypt in several languages and each one adds its own voice to the sufferings of the hebrew people. The Japanese and Chinese versions are the most facinating I have seen so far.

  • @SequimJewGirl18 where did you find the different versions of this movie? (website I mean) I'd be very interested in watching them.

  • all the versions are good, you can't judge a language you don't understand or never had spoken

  • Japanese version dont fit to disney or dreamwork >< to different language !

  • @TheFantasyWorl93 You are right. This version is beautiful, no doubt... but I also think that Japanese doesn't fit with DreamWorks and (expecially) Disney...

  • WOW. The passion and energy behind the voices in this one is really astounding. Maybe moreso than the original english. Although I have to say that Yocheved in this version was a little more demure :/

  • wow, the lady ofra haza who sang this song not only had a beautiful unique voice like no other but she sang this song in over 27 languages, she sang it, it wasn't dubbed over by someone else, thats amazing, beautiful song, fantastic movie

  • Me gusta la canción de cuna *w*

  • is there anyway you can put up the Japanese to english translations of this song? That would be cool.

  • Eh. Japanese is a beautiful language, in my book. But, the woman singing the part of Moses' mother just can't hold a candle to Ofra Haza in the English version.

  • @NekoKohaku ive somewhere heard that ofra haza sung all the versions

  • *cries* no matter how many times I listen to this song, whatever language, I cry

this is a timeless beautiful movie

  • This just totally makes me want to watch the Japanese dub of the whole film - they've just totally nailed the passion and emotion of the original, i am so impressed! Well done guys!!

(ps. extra kudos for keeping the hebrew lyrics of the mother's song! Thats was so beautiful and so touching in the original and gave you a sense of the culture so it would have been a shame to take that out.)

  • Man, Japanese makes everything sound so flowy and beautiful. It makes me have happy fuzzy feelings inside listening to this beautiful song in this beautiful language. <3

  • I love the lyrics in japanese.

    Beautiful : )

  • How many languages did Ofra sing in exactly?

  • @demyxgurl I think, like, 19.

  • I don't believe in the Christian God one bit... but this song is still beautiful. :]

  • this has a lot of feeling to it. I've always loved the japanese language for that reason.

  • i love this. soooo much.

  • 1:39 slavedriver pushing the guy helping up the exhausted hebrew >:O

  • woohoohoo i got goose bumps listening to Yoshbelle

(not sure how you spell her name)

it's weird, somehow Japanese makes everything sound even more awesome than it already is. Am i right? 8)

  • @GaaraXFan2RuLeALL yes you are

  • @GaaraXFan2RuLeALL Jochebed. Moses' mom.

  • This has its own soundtrack in Japanese? Why not in Hebrew? And how on earth did you procure this?

Huh. Maybe Ofra Haza didn't do all 28 of these dubs. One source I read said she did 17 of them. But Yochebed was drawn to look like the actress.

  • Brother, now you're all right.

    I am praying.

    One day you'll grow big,

    and save everyone.

    Love the last chorus :)

  • @barfridman and @Irshaad1337, please stop being horrible. No one cares that you think Muslims and jews are weird. It may not have occured to you but some people might actually be offended.

  • @W0WDungeons dude fuck you cunt jews are awsome

  • fa paurissima °.°

  • All versions of this song are beautiful

  • This is directed to those of you who are fighting. Can you please stop? =( Some of the things going around are really rude.

  • @Kairi808chan Yeah, Kairi here has a point.. Let's stop fighting, will u?? We don't have to do this.. Let's just appreciate the song and comment about IT.. Enough discussing about religion, nationality and stuff..

  • @Micaelmag Dude I hate when people do that. D>
