No, Conan went to TBS because he had several million dollars in his pocket and had a choice of any station in america to be broadcast on, he chose to leave the tonight show just to save it from being moved from another timeslot. And not very funny? Compared to Jay Leno the guy's a comedy genius. I watch his show all the time and its always amusing. I don't even know of anyone who still watches Leno.

Add to that a growing number who are dropping cable subscriptions, and it badly injures late night cable

@dancedanceterminator I believe that was Jimmie Walker from Good Times. Jimmie was also a stand up comic. In fact, both Jay Leno and David Letterman would write jokes for him to earn extra money in the mid 1970's.

Most comedians will not admit it, but Jay Leno actually crafted a lot of the modern stand-up techniques that are still popular today. Jay Leno was actually quite revolutionary for his time. Even though his routine seems stale now, since it has been copied to death, this was actually innovative at the time. Jay Leno has been a big contributor to stand-up comedy.

Leno is a super talent. It's amazing what he has done just from a straight delivery for a quarter of a century! Give him respect! I personally love the ISO Grifo and I hope he has one in his car collection. The fact he has the Vincent Black Prince or Knight motorcycle is enough for me to have my utmost respect for him. You can supe up my car any time Jay!
