Stirling IT - Fake Microsoft Remote Assitance or Virus Scam

We got that phonecall last night and my dad at first thought it was genuine until they asked for credit card things and hung up. Today he asked me to print out work documents from his laptop, and the instant I plugged the laptop to the printer, without me touching anything, it printed out a series of transvestite pornograpy. My dad is the most bashful man I know, and would never look up porn, let alone tranny porn! Any help, people of youtube?

If your dad gave them remote access to the system then they could have "in theory" dumped images to the printer. However, this is unlikely as their goal is to get money from the person via the credit card. As far as I am aware there is no blackmail intent just a pure scam. What I will say is that documents send to a printer that is not turned on will sit in the printer queue until it is turned on.

Hehehe he just called me and he told me that my Windows was infected with a virus. He then told me to press Ctrl+windows key+r and type in eventvwr. I then began to ridicule his Indian accent, and he told me he was actually French! (I never really even pressed crtl windows r) Then I started to make some penis jokes and he handed the phone to his "supervisor". I then pretended my computer crashed and wouldnt boot up anymore. Then he told me that it was the malware and then hung up! LOLOLOL

I got this! Let him on my computer but realized and disconected straight away! I deleted all software he told me to install and he had acsess to my comp for 1 min and that was all. He keeps ringing me. Do you think he can stilll acsess my stuff?

If they had access for 1 min, they may have installed software to allow more access, I would recommend a wipe and reinstall of the system.
