  • All my cats have been indoor/outdoor cats. One as old as 22. I find it unnatural to keep animals of any type indoors all the time as i believe it hampers the cats natural instincts.

  • @ElizaKW I find this theory flawed. Cats who have natural instincts to hunt cannot do so inside. Friends of mine always had indoor cats that had short lives while my indoor/outdoor cats lived to be 19 or older.

  • @BMWBiker2 This has been the case with most of the 20 cats I've had the pleasure of sharing my existence with. Micmac's cancer would not have been prevented by keeping him indoors.

  • My animals are fortunate that they live in a home without chemical cleaners & scents, a terrible thing to subject sensitive animals to that is more dangerous than anything they find outdoors.

  • Cats that are kept indoors have a life expectancy TEN YEARS longer that cats that are allowed to run outdoors. We all know they want to be outdoors, but what they want isn't really what they need. Keep your cats inside!

  • Lovely cats. I don't want to lose my cat. :(

  • keep a ''handle'' on your cats & dogs. My friends dogs were mauled by 2 other dogs in their own backyard. One almost died of his wounds, but recovered, thanx to some very knowledgeable vets. Know where your pets are @ all times.

  • dude i miss my cat now :(

  • @Othercooldud I also miss my beloved Micmac very much. It has been almost 2.5 years since he passed away & I think about him almost every day, as well as his best buddy Asalee & my sheltie Dar. They were all the same age - my home is so empty without them.

  • @jzathey

    Micmac:haha awsome cat name!!

  • cool cat!

  • Super sweet !!!

  • why white cat has red eyes?

  • @GeorgeDotUA I believe just the camera or sunshine in my cat's eyes.

    私は猫の目には、カメラや太陽の光を信じています。あなたに感謝。

  • Our coon wont come in if the temp is above 50F outside. She may be gone for up to 8 days, comes back wicked hungry. Mostly she goes out when the moon is full.

  • @wi11y1960 Keep them indoors, if you can't be with them when they are out so this doesn't happen. Sheesh

  • what a good looking cat.

  • You can tell that micmac was sulking, our cats are the same when they sulk.

  • About 20 years ago, my mom and I found a tiny baby kitten in the parkinglot of our apartments. We took him and in not knowing what breed...The vet said he was just a tabby cat but after watching your videos, I think he was part Maine Coon. He looked just like your MicMac and had the same characterists. He would talk and play cute kitty when he wanted attention...He would even jump up and slap your arm when you were eating if he wanted some lol We miss in terribly.

  • lol @ Micmac you are a hardcore user! lol

  • I am so sorry for your loss. This is the first one of your vids I've seen and I was just amazed how even though you didn't change the tone of your voice he seemed to know he was in trouble. I love the white cat too. What a friendly thing. I hope that one is still with you at least x

  • Thank you so much for your kind words. My heart & soul still ache for the beauty soul that was Micmac. Yes, Asalee is still with me - he head a terrible time grieving his beloved Micmac - I thought I would lose him through his broken heart. He is MM's age and has stopped going out much, preferring the warmth of the house & heaters, especially during the winter months. Asa is part siamese & a very gentle, intuitive soul He lets Moggie get away with anything including stealing his food.

  • @jzathey Indoor cats live longer than those that are allowed outside. Sorry for your loss.

  • I had a cat that did that from time to time. Problem is they have a short term memory and can't understand why they're being punished.

  • WEED!

  • I love it how your cats ask you what you want when you call their names :D

  • 0:28 "whaaattt?" lol

  • OMG I .LUV UR CAT and my cat luvs ur cat too

  • I stil loved Your MicMac vids...

but he made me cry because of your loss

and I know how bad to lost a cat !!!

  • Cats that run outside when they are house cats can be placed in a huge playpen during the day and every night u can let them out...some cats are too expensive to let roam the neighborhood cars ,disease, dogs ect cats are not safe,if you live on land where they can roam safely fine........all cats are worth it not just expensive ones...they sell cat playpens by Midwest...the huge 5 foot tall ones...cats sleep all day anyway....

  • hehehe...cats on "the nip", as we call it here. My Maine Coon is a user, also.

  • if i ever get one, and i promise i will when i have enough space, even this big appartement i live in would be to small for such a nice cat and i live next to a big road... i could never let hem outside, but planning on moving in a few years and would say i would just put a small gps chip in his neck, here it is obligated to have an identificationchip so why not gsp with it? it would be small too right?... i think so... could cost some more money , but i think money well worth spending for :)

  • and also... you can't just leave a cat like this inside, but make sure he is trained to go outside, and only let him really free if he already listens to you and you trust him, but like kids you will HAVE to let them go.... it's there right to be... otherwise it would not be fair, but i can understand if you aren't ready for it or like you live close to big roads, but then it is like me, didn't get one because i can't let him free yet! :) and yes i am so jealous of all the people who have one! x

  • What an awesome cat! i had a Maine coon named "Sonic" He was 30 lbs. and looked skinny! His head was almost as big as mine! He got cancer and I had

several opperations done but it spread through out his body. 5000.00 dollars

later I still had to put him down. I wish I never put him through all that. I still miss him. he was my best friend & all I had.

  • I feel the same way about medical intervention. I will euthanize now rather than put an innocent animal though all that b.s. and then have him pass away. My beloved sheltie Shane went through 4 surgeries, 2.5 years of torture. It's been 13 years now and I still can't speak of him without crying. Miss him terribly.

  • @jzathey I can say honestly...I know exactly how you feel. i will never do the surgeries again. I was thinking of my feelings...not his.

I didn't want to loose Sonic. I have 2 maine coons now:)

  • MicMac is going to be a hard act to follow.

you will find another you will love just as much, but each time, it'll be different.

  • Such a cool cat...

I'm sorry to hear about your loss.

Just realize that you WILL see him again.

    I promise you that.

  • MM developed a cancer on his back legs, very invasive, untreatable.

  • @jzathey How did you notice he is so fluffy? Did he start walking differently or lose his hair or something?

  • My Maine coon Toby is indoor only. Outside on a leash.. I would be so sad if he ever ran away.. They are so cute someone would lock him in their basement. When I first got Toby this last March I watched Mic Mac.. I did not think Toby would get so big so fast. I will send you a video.

  • what are they eating?

  • I tried to scan this video without watching it, as I still cannot watch MM without crying about his death. I think you're talking about the stuff on the carpet? It's organic catnip.

  • @jzathey He's dead? I'm sorry about your lost.

  • Thank you. He lives on with people like you, watching him. Today is the first day since his death in Sept that i've been able to watch any videos of him. No one has any inclination of how much I loved this cat. Some people are borne to be loved. I am one of those. MM was also one of those. We dont' care if we are or not, we just know we have to be loved.

  • aww, poor guy haha! Must not have been a good feeling having to search for him for so long.. It's for that reason that most likely any cats I have will be full-time indoor cats... Unless they're out with me, on a harness. But it's still pretty cool that they can get out every now and then :-)

  • All my cats are trained from kittenhood to come when I ring bells. They're not allowed outside until they're 1 year old, and are monitored by me. I'm far enough back from the road that they don't go near it, and am on a hill - they rarely venture into the forested area, and only within hearing distance. Micmac not hearing the bell was unprecidented. When I vacation, by the way, they're all kept in the house, as it takes a lot of responsiblitiy to monitor outdoor cats.

  • MicMac do a little galavanting, eh?? LOL Poor baby; he sounds so pitimous when he meows! Tryin' to soften you up! LOL FIVE adorable stars; give that furball lots of (((HUGS))), pats, and purrs from twin sis and me in Texas! :D

  • Poor baby, he's trying to butter you up! LOL Give a pat and a purr to my favorite Maine Coon after he's out of time out. =] 5/5 stars!
