I don't dislike the new cradle, I actually consider Godspeed one of their best albums.
As a musician you HAVE to evolve, you can't spend all your life doing the same stuff over and over, and as a fan you can't expect them to, if you like the new, awesome, if you don't just move on, find other bands, no need to bash.

I have to agree with the poster on this one, the new COF is a bit...shit.
But regardless of whatever they do now or in the future this will always be a fucking cool track, along with plenty others.
Also, The Cradle Of Fear is definatly one of the best low budget films i've seen, they definatly took what they had and made the absolute gorey most of it.
Half the time low budget films get something for next to nothing and don't really know what to do with it, so they did very well on it :)

This has got to be my favorite video of cradle. The videos from thornography and godspeed on the devil's thunder are nothing compared to this. I wish cradle went back to the musical influence like they had in the 90s.

If your into all out brutality check out behemoth but the fans are just physcotic douchebags that bone the band.

@pandemoniac08 amon amarth= viking melodic death metal ( brootal) insomnium is another good melodic death metal band ( kinda folky) arkona-zov bitvy is a wicked slavic pagan folk metal band too.
@jflamze Divine Heresy has a great mix of metal and rythemic singing, if your into that i would say to check them out. False Gospel, Redefine, Impossible is nothing and Closer being some of them my fave ones anyway lol. :]

Dimmu borgir could be 2nd best but there are better black metal bands out there then just Cradle of Fitlh, Dimmu Borgir, and behemoth. but I know those are the most popular so most people wont know others but try Venom, Celtic Frost or lol the short lived black metal super group The Kovenant FYI listen to "Nexus Polaris" after that album they became less of a black metal band.

Cradle of Filth I must say have quite a few cool things going on. The problem for me is that these things are fragmented and scattered throughout. I can't sadly find a song that I really like. Dani Filth's vocals don't help one bit at all either....

The new stuff is different, they are getting older, more mature, it happens. Just thank God they haven't went to shit like Metallica. I mean gag. I grew up with Metallica, now I won't even buy their new album hoping they have returned to their roots. I am not gonna blow 20 bucks out my ass to find out Death Magnetic is shit too. Cradle still plays the old at shows, but ,as a guitarist, you want to try new things, or it gets boring.

I've always loved Cradle and I probably always will.
I'm not to keen on the Thornography album, but Godspeed is actually really good...But nothing beats old Cradle of Filth.

not mainstream as such, Mainstream rock music basically. meaning they now have the same values as say, My chemical toilet, Bullet for my palestine and s-club juniors. Cradle of Filth started bastardised black metal, and now are a poor poor reflection what they once were. Release as many songs about the devil as you like, Covering CLIFF RICHARD wasn't a great move."devil woman" see, even sir Cliff writes about satanic matter the boomtown rats wrote about killers too, all mainstream examples..

Can you name a more mainstream "black metal" band than CoF? Don't get me wrong, I LOVE just about everything pre-thornography, but they are pretty mainstream.
Though I can't seem to see what's wrong with a band being big enough to be called "mainstream." Just because they have a lot of fans doesn't mean they suck. People really should just enjoy music instead of trying to find bands that only have ten fans. Those bands usually only have ten fans for a reason...

Dimmu borgir could be 2nd best but there are better black metal bands out there then just Cradle of Fitlh, Dimmu Borgir, and behemoth. but I know those are the most popular so most people wont know others but try Venom, Celtic Frost or lol the short lived black metal super group The Kovenant FYI listen to "Nexus Polaris" after that album they became less of a black metal band.

I love Cradle Of Filth, my favorite song from them is "Her Ghost In The Fog" And my fave albums are midian and nymphetamine, new cradle of filth aint bad... They're an awesome band. And i Love their music and Pual <33333 ^.^

Cradle of Filth I must say have quite a few cool things going on. The problem for me is that these things are fragmented and scattered throughout. I can't sadly find a song that I really like. Dani Filth's vocals don't help one bit at all either....

God...I wish Cradle came back to their good ol' stuff :/....(hint's at The forest whispers my name, Black metal, This song, Cthulhu Dawn..) But this music video brings me back to the days of 70's horror...Back when psychopath's needed no explanation to gruesomely kill people...LOVE IT.

Well, I can't say I dont remember it, watching the video here made me remember stuff. LIke the girl in the bed, Dani Filths character meets her at some kind of rave. And the old guy that gets stabbed in the face is when some kids are trying to steal his shit while he is sleeping. And there was thing about a room that was like a game, and if you lose you die. Kinda confusing.
