Peace, liberty and equality cannot be 'granted' by politicians, no matter how inherently good (like Mike) they are.
They would be stopped via the system that is built to sustain itself -- in order to change something, one should seek unconventional ideas and use new ways, not the ways of the system one is trying to change.
Rx, let me say that hands down I don't think anyone can really do what you do in terms of editing videos. I still have to find out more about your political views, but it is really amazing.
well, thank you. theoretically, i should have another proper mashup done soon. maybe a couple of weeks. as for my political views, they're probably what you would imagine. reasonably common sense. probably wrong about some things due to lack of information & or insight. i'll be laying out my platform form for advice & consideration in the next couple of months. to be continued...peace.
Also, the rest of the candidates sound like broken records, they all agree. It isn't much of a debate if they all concur. And if you take the "minor" candidates out, Dodd, Biden, Kucinich, Gravel, and maybe Richardson, leaves three people. Exciting.
I don't like the idea that people don't expand their views to see into other candidates. The only reason you know of Obama and not Gravel or Kucinich is that the media doesn't give their names appropriately to the public to sink in and discover their beliefs. It was not an insensitive comment about the troops dying in vain, although I do disagree with the statement, it is his idea. And for the people complaining about that comment, have you served in the military?
The media has already made its decision on who they will be endorsing. Gravel, Kucinich, and Paul aren't on their lists. It's sad that people are so willing to accept the spoon-fed candidates the media so sensationalizes. I'm with Gravel that the troops are dying in vain and there was nothing insensitive about that comment.
Gravel pisses me off so much. The reason he doesn't get anytime is because any time he does, he is either bashing other candidates or going off on some outburst rampage where he says insensitive things. He's not getting the time because he's not a serious candidate. There is no way in Hell he will ever became the President or the Democratic nominee for that manner. Why can't he just take a hint and fuck off!
OH Lord that made no sense. We NEED someone up there keeping it REAL. I do think he is kinda giving up on the fight but stays there to call out the lies and deception. Quite a compliment to Kucinich btw :)
But for the record, Kucinich is a VERY serious candidate but got little time....explain that one.
I can see Kucinich being a more serious candidate (i think he's about 5th right now), but Gravel is just wasting time that could be used to cover more issues for the candidates who actually have a chance of winning and influencing the election.
It's funny cause I all I see other candidates do is play politics and give vague answers to appease both sides of the crowd, whereas Gravel speaks the truth, a very rare quality found in a politician. Hell, if Americans won't vote for a real candidate he should come to Canada, there is no doubt in my mind he would become the next prime minister.
i'm not sure that it's Our responsibility, but certainly it's doable. and we can do it. & if i were starving and my people were being mass murdered, i'd wish to fuck someone would help out. you see it different? if you saw someone starving and getting beaten to death outside your door, you'd walk away?
ah, so because we can, we must? granted, it's a nice gesture, but it's their problem. we have plenty of starving children right here in america. how about we feed them first, sport.
well, maybe you're missinfg the larger point. it's not simply about starvation, although that is part of the problem. it's about mass murder, in the words of george bush, "genocide." and i don't think it's particularly the responsibility of the u.s., but if the job isn't getting done, someone's gotta do it. just as we were able to organize a "coalition of the willing" for iraq, i bet we could probably organize some sort of effort to stop the genocide in sudan.
yeah it was really obvious. it strikes me that the whole thing is a charade (duhh?)...as if the people on the sides are foils for the folks in the center. no?
NOW PEACE ! Lets get the Troops Home NOW ! Oh Dear GOD please send the TROOPS home ALIVE !Please see to it BUSH and Cheney are both Impeached and Bless Dennis KUCINICH our only Human Hope for America !
well, if dennis kucinich is our only hope, in a country of 300 million, then, nothing to do with kucinich, we ain't got no hope. fact is, it takes 2 to make a thing go right.
that's funny, because the wassup bit was in response to anderson cooper saying something about the democrats playing politics with the war in iraq. it does work, though, for that reason, as a segue to obama talking about what he'd do about iraq, a year and a half from now, instead of today. anyway, glad you like.
i'm not up there 'cause i'm not a democrat, and i suspect they're just fine with that. theoritically, i should be done with the video for sugar etc maybe today or tomorrow. i'll let you know. as for edwards, he's really just like the others, no?
