  • Jonathan Freeman, everyone.

  • @voldemortrules101 Same here! I love this play :D

  • We're doing Aladdin Jr. and we're doing this song- the guy playing Jafar does it awesomely =D

  • Though, I agree that this song would've lessened Jafar's menace in the film, I absolutely NEED this song on itunes. I've been trying to find a download of it for forever lol Love this song soo much. ^_^

  • no lies, the laugh at the end actually is scary as all fuck.

  • So, Jafar has TWO deleted songs? Pity, he was one of the Disney villains who had a good voice.

    Toodeloo.

  • I remember this song...My high school did it in Aladdin Jr. The dude playing Jafar was actually very good at singing and being scary.

  • Would have been hard to take a villain that says "rub a dub dub" seriously...

  • They actually recycled this for "Aladdin Jr" that some high schools and middle schools present. It even got a reprise so if Aladdin makes it to Broadway ever you can bet this will be in there.

  • So this is a real song! I just went to my high school's production of Aladdin, which used this song. Nonetheless i was throughly confused.

  • This really lowers his sinster side. I'm glad it was scrapped

  • ya know.... i dont hear the part where hes talking about hogwarts...

  • This makes Jafar sound so flamboyant, its especially funny where he says 'You forget who wears the pants around here now' because Jafar doesn't wear pants, he wears a robe.

  • @NattalaChao Same with Wizard Waldo on Animaniacs. My character does that too.

  • Bet he was a Hufflepuff.

  • Is Jafar actually Severus Snape?

  • I've loved this movie literally my entire life, and I just realized now that the red thing coming down to Jafar's shoulders was part of his hat, not his hair.

My entire childhood has been a lie D:

  • @happythunder3 you know...jafar took off his hat for some moments, don't you?

  • @AZZArist yeah, I know. When I was watching Aladdin a few days ago, I noticed a part where Jafar took off his hat, but IDK how i literally never noticed as a little kid...

  • it makes jafar sound like a wimpy RUB A DUB DUB :D

  • Yeah... I'm kinda glad this was cut. Jafar was always one of the most evil and powerful, this really brings him down to size, and removes his memorability.

  • Reminds me of Dr. Cortex.

  • RUB A DUB DUB: The Musical

  • evillest laugh I have ever heard

  • It's actually a pretty awesome song, but I can see why they cut it.

  • [My Lyrics Part 7]

Wizard Waldo: ♪Who's the titan? Who's the champ? Who's the master of the lamp? Who's the one who'll take up pages in Who's Who?♪

    All: Who?

Wizard Waldo: ♪WHY ME!!!! (Evily laughs)♪♪

  • [My Lyrics Part 6]

Wizard Waldo: ♪Though I hate to break a partnership, (Takes out an airplane ticket) YOU'RE GOING ON A ONE-WAY TRIP!♪

  • [My Lyrics Part 5]

Wizard Waldo: ♪And as for you, you little twerp, from now on, it's "as you were" time!♪

♪Let's have your pretty princess see how she's been wasting her time!♪

    ♪Let's rip 'em bare, THERE'S NOTHING THERE!♪

  • [My Lyrics Part 4]

♪A man who knows just what to do and who to do it to. Who's he? M-E!♪

  • [My Lyrics Part 2]

Wizard Waldo: ♪Why was I so unable to fulfill my true potential? Taken down by those I knew were smaller fry. Inconsequential, but here's the rub.♪

    Rub-a-dub-dub!

  • [My Lyrics Part 1]

Wizard Waldo: ♪In my formative and hungry years I was unappreciated by my peers.♪

♪As their slings and arrows flew I would ponder wouldn't you? Why me? Why me?♪

♪For a man of my charisma and mystique I have taken far too long to reach my peak.♪

♪Why is my status never quo? Why does no one want to know? Poor me! Why me?♪

  • Never mind, I found a perfect place to have Wizard Waldo sing this. He would sing this on "King Yakko" as he goes into battle with Babes Bunny forced to be on his side.

  • They should have added this song to Aladdin.

  • In the play version, Jafar has got to sing this, I should know, I was Jafar in the local production XD

  • his status was never quo? looks like some one had a bad day on facebook

  • Eww-- no offense, I love Jafar and everthing, but... this song is just... not good...

  • "Guess who wears the pants here now!"

  • Oh my god, why was this cut? Jafar's voice is godlike, this should so be in the movie! <3

  • I don't know if to choose to have Wizard Waldo sing this on Animaniacs. Some lyrics have my character terribly impersonated because his parents died when his brother, Wizard Egon (Background Singer) was born.

  • while this isn't a badly done song at all, i can clearly understand why it was removed

it takes away some of the fear of Jafar, when we learn what he was essentially, bullied by his fellow Hogwarts students

  • @durpist He sounds like a Emo Tom Riddle.

  • @durpist Uh.... I think you watched the wrong movie.

  • @durpist ummmm Jafar was in Aladdin...Not Harry Potter XD

  • @Lovinlifetoday235 it's a joke

people seem to be having trouble understanding that

  • @durpist LOL, nice.xD

  • @durpist You're kinda, really awesome!

  • Pretty glad this was cut. Villainous reprises of the heroes themes are a rare occurrence in the first place, and the way it is done in Aladdin is extremely well formulated. Would much prefer the reprise to this anyday. If it gave a little more about Jafar's motivations though it would be difficult, but it doesn't really appear to.

  • Does I hear him right? Does he say "Who's the Tyson, who's the champ?" Disney lyrics usually don't use such dated cultural references.

  • @jimbobago No, he say's who's the TITAN, not the Tyson.

  • Jafar just said, " RUB A DUB DUB!!" O.O

    AHAHAHAHAHA

  • jonathon freeman. underrated genius

  • why was this song cut? this is far too good. then you add in prince ali reprise in it would have been amazing.

  • yea his prince ali reprise was so much better

  • hah im in aladdin right now and this song is awesome

  • "Let's strip him bare, there's nothing there." Yeah, you just got called nutless by the master of evil, sucka.

  • " Let's strip him bare... THERE'S NOTHING THERE!!! " ROFLMAO

  • Is it just me... or does Jafar seem almost.. drunk?

  • @karaming88 HA! He's a whiny drunk and that's why they cut this song?

  • @poltive Haha! I'm sure! XD

  • this is so.... stupid

  • wait so why was this cut?

  • Just thought people should know, I just attended the spotlight night at the paramount theatre in Seattle for the musical premiere of Aladdin and 'Why Me?' is one of the numbers that has been added back into the production!

  • damn jafar has the most evil laugh ever. First i heard the one from prince ali reprise then this. Damn i am a big fan of the dude

  • I prefer the reprise of prince ali...

  • No iago

  • Because when you think Disney villains you think "RUB A DUB DUB!!!!"

  • lol what did he say at 1:39...?

  • @supermanwich23 "Big 'G' and me"

  • @FaithSeetoo I see. I thought he said something much more shocking at first. XD

  • Lol we are doing this song for our schools production of Aladdin!! Only no RUB A DUB DUB... Yeah I can see why..

  • a bit too dark for a Disney movie, so good thing it was cut, but nice to see what was considered. i'm enormously satisfied with the final cut, though.

  • That laugh at 3:10 is holyshit-worthy.

  • @GalaxyBlasterX, that laugh sounds like The Joker's from The Dark Knight.

  • @Hikarimagician WELL SAID :)

  • Whoops, sry, I just read the intro, haha

  • Does anyone know when in the movie this song was supposed to take place?

  • This song is a duet between Jafar and Iago in Aladdin Jr.(I just finished my last performance) the play. It's pretty good but some of the lyrics are changed and so is the tempo. I think it worked well with the play but it's probably for the best that they cut it from the movie.

  • It makes sense that Jafar sounds whiny in this. It's suppsoed to show us how self centered he is.

  • Johnathan's performance and the Price Ali music are the only good thing about this song especially in the later part of it after the Prince Ali

  • jafar sounds like a whiny preschooler in the song

  • I'm glad this was cut, he sounds like a whiny bitch, really...

  • realy makes you lose respect for hm

  • I like this in the play better :)

  • cut from the movie because it makes him look like a wimp with no self confidence, which goes against the whole character. im in aladdin jr at my school, and they kept the song for the play. it ruins it..

  • why was it cut from the film?

  • Eh.....? IDK....Jafar is cool and all but him singing this song is ..................IDK.......he should stick to singing Second Rate; that's a whole lot better.

  • it does

  • I guess we should be glad he just went to the reprise of Prince Ali, after all.

  • It's a Tim Rice song. No wonder.

  • did jafar just say rub a dub dub? someone say no please....

  • @TheKGstudios I'm pretty sure that lyric alone is why they cut the song. I'm glad they did.

  • im jafar in my mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm=usical :)

  • Who came up with the lyrics for this song???

    They suck!!!

  • is this the same jafar as from the movie?

  • I can see why it was cut. Not very good and puts Jafar in a bad light (well, in a 'bad-bad' light, not his usual 'villain-bad' light.)

  • Jafar has got to have one of the weirdest evil laughs ever... and I don't mean it as a good thing.

  • i want to see jafar dance and sing with this

  • "Let's strip him bare. THERE'S NOTHING THERE!!" XD

  • @KorAnos1: Ohhhh, the implications. -giggles-

  • ehhh Jafar sounds like a bitch in this song... he is so much more badass when he's singing "Prince Ali: Reprise" and handing everyone their asses.

  • i got to do this song for my audition

  • I saw a stage version of this last year in the Shakespeare Theater in Chicago, and they used this song.

  • Bah, I thought Jafar was too much too-dimensional. He was just MEAN, not credible. Frollo, for example, was tormented with himself, and Hellfire is (if you ask me) the best Disney song EVER. Ok, this is not a great song, but it showed another side of Jafar.

  • i like how he takes ali and turns it into his own song

  • Pretty interesting song. Alot of people are complaining about it though. Why? The song would have given the character more depth and made him more three dimensional. Instead of just being a generic evil vizier that exists to drive the plot forward. Not saying that he is a generic dick, Aladdin is perfect as it is but you never know. If it were incorporated in the final thing maybe he would have been an even better villain. Or maybe ruined the character forever? We'll never know

  • Haha, they put this in Aladdin Jr., just not the actual movie (even though they still left out the rub-a-dub-dub...) lol! Still makes me laugh... XD :-) :-D

  • @UnfamousAndOldLyrics

I'm in Aladdin Jr right now and since it is a duet in our version, I get to sing in it and it is so much fun!

  • @vinnywwefan yeah, just got back from it, and i couldnt help but laugh when he sang "rub a dub dub" XD

  • i was jafar for 3 preformances. this song is so much upbeat. i'd rather sing this song than sing 4 different songs

  • no wonder this song was cut, jafar would never have been respected as a villain if they put this crap in the movie

  • @darkvixenkillu On the contrary, I would LOVE to see this song get fully animated like they did with "Human Again" on the special edition of Beauty and the Beast. Of course, that's just me =)

  • this song sounds similar to "The Madness of King Scar" wouldn't/doesn't fit in the film but would work in a staged production. In other words, dear Disney: you've made Tarzan and The Little Mermaid into musicals. Now pretty please do this one!

    Love,

    Me

  • my school did aladdin jr and this song was in it. except it was split into 2 songs. why me and why me reprise. I was a guard so I got to sing it. we weere freakin BEAST!! plus jafar had an amazing voice and was evil through and through. we had a choreographed routine and everything... it was amazing!! I'm so sad it's over. the show was soooo good!!

  • @randomlolzXD My school's doing that show too. ^^

I'm one of the Harem girls. xD

  • This was sung at my school's Disney version of Aladdin. Good thing, because Jafar had a brilliant voice.

  • jafar's singing this for our stage production of aladdin jr. :D

  • 3:11 most blood-chilling villain laugh ever.............

Why wasn't it in the movie again? It should've been.

  • @Kira1Lawliet

It was. They stuck it on the end of his reprise of "Prince Ali"

    "Ex-Priiince, AAAAALIIIIIIIII----EEEEEE-AHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH

    YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAAHAH"

    *everyone shit-scared*

  • @CountBloh No I know it was in the movie, it just wasn't as powerful as this one is what I meant.

  • my dchol play is alladin and this song is in it. I like this song but it makes Jafar sound like a wimp

  • Oddly, this song was put into Music Theater International's Aladdin Jr. for schools

  • It is kinda hard to tell if this song should have been in the movie instead of the Prince Ali Reprise song Jafar sung. This song is kinda nice and explains a little about his past. Although it makes him look a lot more sympathetic, and sometimes sympathetic villains are great. The Prince Ali song was shorter, but it was a bit catchier. I love the laugh at the end of this song. It's much more maniacal in my opinion.

  • Glad this song was cut. Jafar is supposed to be selfish and evil and cunning. This song makes him too sympathetic, which is the exact opposite of his character. And it would have been a huge mistake to place this song after "A Whole New World".

  • can i get the lyrics?

    plz

  • Good thing this song was cut, it makes Jafar sound like a pussy

  • i totally agree

  • @jhwink a WHINEY pussy

  • @jhwink i think it explains why he's so epicly evil and badass

  • @jhwink you kidding? this makes jafar a better badguy than before its makes him twice as crazy than before as well as a small insight into his past

  • @jhwink

yeah, but it gives him a motive somewhat. not that he needed one.

  • @jhwink I agree...he's my favorite villian...and I really didnt need to hear him whine.

I'd rather him sing "Second Rate" lol

  • @jhwink The song could have given his character more depth. I mean, besides from his old man disguise, which was kinda silly, Jafar is basically all 100 percent evil. If he had a jovial, joyous side, it would have been scarier later on to me. Because first you'd think 'aw, he's not that bad, just misunderstood,' only to have your opinion questioned in the later parts of the movie.

  • @jhwink Well that's exactly what he is.

  • @PIRATESOFTHEC3 Fuck you he is awesome. Bet you are a maleficent fan

  • @meDJSIRIUS I won't deny he is awesome, but he certainly isn't powerful. And I'm not a fan of any villain, really, considering each and every one has failed; which is only natural, but still.

  • @PIRATESOFTHEC3 Sorry for sayin fuck you then. I am just a BIG jafar fan maybe becuz i want to be like him xD. No he isnt really powerfull in the start of the first movie but remember he wished to be the most powerfull genie ever. That means he wished for all the power in the entire universe so he became the most powerfull being ever. No one of the other villains wouls stand a chance against him because he would have no limits. He could aswell destroy the universe if he wanted to

  • This song makes Jafar seem a lot whinier and more pathetic than the reprise that replaced it. I kind of liked the fact that Jafar never really whined about anything. He was just sinister. It was cool.

  • yeah im glad they cut this song, it makes jafar alot less badass

  • Is there an instrumental of this song? If so, please send me one.

  • @ForbiddenDouchebag I got the OST and I haven't found one on it, so I doubt it.

One of my favourite songs by the way. Though I see why they excluded it, as I think more than that one singing scene with Jafar would put him a bit too much in the centre of the film.

  • Thanks for trying, but I know already that it's not on the original or special edition soundtrack.

It's actually in the "Music Behind the Magic" 4-CD box set which came out over 15 years ago.

  • Alright, thanks for sharing this information. I think I'll have to see if I find that one as well somewhere.

  • what a feegee i gotta sing this for my musical

it's all talking no singing basically

i also though it was a duet with iiago???

  • dose anyone have a recording of this that they could send me

  • Hey but this song is supposed to be a duet between Jafar & Iago....arrrr sad the duet is really hilarious XDXDXD

  • I remember doing Aladdin for our school musical back in early 2008,and this song was in it.I wish they kept it in the movie,it's a pretty good song.

  • In my formative and hungry years, I was unappreciated BY MY peers. As their slings and arrows flew I would ponder, wouldn't you? Why me... WHY MEEEE...? For a man of my charisma and mystique, I have taken far too long to reach my peak. Why was my status never quo? Why did no one want to know? Poor me... WHY MEEEE...? Why was so unable to fulfill my true potential? Kept down by those I knew, those smaller fry. Inconsequential. But here's the rub RUB-A-DUB-DUB
  • @elephanturkeymelt This song actually makes me feel a little sorry for Jafar. Not that it justifies anything he did in the film, but still.

  • We are doing this for my school this year and my brother has this part and he sings it good

  • @DivaLo16 Yeah we performed this as the school play this year..it was awesome I was the narrator...but damn I dnt think I'm ever going to forget these songs after they were drummed into my head sooooo much XDXDXD

  • 1:40 B*itchy and me?

  • Yeah, I would have written that differently. It's "Big G and me." *shrugs*

  • u got an mp3 of this song?

  • I have an mp3 of the song- I have the entire soundtrack. I can email it to you.

  • Can you email the mp3 of this song to me too? Thanks!

  • I can email it- What is your email address?

  • Um... I don't want to give it away on a public video. I will send it to you in a message.

  • Could you email this to me also?

  • Jonathan Freeman is simply the best.

  • He still does a crazy laugh at the end like he does in the Prince Ali reprise!

    That's so memorable.

  • this makes one of my fav disney villains seem like a well wuss! he doesn't seem like the Jafar we all know and Love to hate!

  • In the Disney Junior version of Aladdin the Musical this song It's a duet with Iago and Jafar and it's about Jafar's inability to cope with playing second fiddle to the Sultan.

I can only assume that it would have fallen in the original like that.

    The lyrics are different though.

  • same here i played iago in mine

  • Me to!

    :)

  • I mean that voice that I love doesn't come until the second verse... Like on 2:06-2:30... and that's it... ):

  • Where's that aggressive voice??? It's to soft. I'm glad they didn't put this song in the movie.

  • He sounds quite agressive on "inconsequential" and "here's the rub".
