  • Is the remote shutter interface also able to power the camera? The battery on my FlyCamOne2 no longer gets 30 minutes.

  • Sorry for the dely in reply, Not that I am aware

  • hello

I like to control the camera.(on\ off picture and video fron the transmitter)

I just need to connect the 3 (from 4) pins to channel in the receiver?

    thanks

  • Not sure of your question but if you connect the interface correctly you should be able to turn on and of the video via your transmitter during flight but you cant alternate between video and pictures during flight

  • Hi.

I understand that this camera can be controled ( moved ) from the airplane Rc ?

When i fly can i change the position of the cam ? Tank You.

  • And at least can i use this cam whit a small monitor ( display ) to see what image I take ?

  • Not sure of your question but the quality of the video image is not fantastic but more than adequate for model aircraft, As I dont know what monitor you have its difficult to say, sorry

  • Is this camera very good, or does it have a few problems like size and weight issues?

  • Virtually no weight 37g. The size of the camera is small 40 x 80 x 14 mm but when using the interface you do have to take the height into account. The quality is OK (640 x 480 Pixel during video recording and 1280 x 1024 Pixel during taking photos) not the highest quality but more than acceptable for such a small camera, would recommend for planes and helicopters but not for family videos. Search YouTube for flycamone2 and you will find plenty videos that show the quality.

  • Thanks! I have the camera now, I cant wait to use it, but the problem is, is i want to test it on a basic plane first, and it only comes with one Velcro sheet to stick on the plane, do you think it's a good idea to seletape it temporarily?

  • I would not recommend this. I dont use the Velcro I use large rubber bands (the sort you use to attach wing on some models) with a pad of foam between the camera and the wing but I use 4 rubber bands crossing over each other to be safe it also helps with the vibration. I always attach the camera with a length of elastic through the small loop hole near the memory card and securely fasten this to the fuselage so if you have a hard landing and the Velcro comes loose you wont lose the camera.

  • Hi,

So does the camera work without that mounting device, can you just mount it on your heli press 'capture' and it will record until you land your heli and turn it off. Or do you need thoses cables!

  • You can use the Flycam on its own i.e. without the interface setup so the camera on its own can be turned on and off manually. I have been told that heavy landings can wipe the recording (I have not experienced this problem)

  • Thanks,

How long does the battery last on its own?

  • I bought my FlyCamOne2 from eBay 2nd hand but I have had 20mins but I use the remote interface to start and stop the recording but I would assume from new with full charge you may get 30 mins as it says if you search the internet for FlycamOne2 description. Dont forget you will need to buy a 2GB SD card as this does not come with the camera new

Overall a great bit of kit

  • As long as you look after the battery you should get 30 minutes but as with all rechargeable batteries over time they will deteriorate but with the interface you can save the battery by turning on and off during flight

  • You dont have to use the interface, the interface lets you turn on and of during flight but you can just use the camera and set it running before takeoff and turn off after landing. You get about 30 min recording but although I have only experienced it once a heavy landing can wipe that recording!!

  • i found that i wiped out a recoding by switching off and not pressing the shutter

    j.t.

  • Sorry £20 not 320

  • You will also need a video card (make sure its the correct one) for about 320.00 so budget goes up to £90

  • Hi I bought the full set up from ebay for £50.00 but new your looking at £50-60 for the flycam £15-20 for the shutter interface, I would budget £70 new but always available on ebay, you can get an attachment on the shoe to have the cam rotate via a sep servo but I think that is an extra that is not req

  • WoW That Is Sweet !!!! How Much In All (Cam Setup) ???
