There is a vast difference between a technological advantage (which we, the US have), and hiding in civilian populations, dressed as civilians, sooting and running away(insurgents). Although, nobody can honestly say that if a foreign force was in your country, you wouldn't be doing the same thing. They see it as self defense. What I don't like is Iran, Syria, and so on helping the insurgents, or hijacking civilian airliners...those are acts of cowardice.
