This boss doesn't play around. He opens up with an attack that cripples and can kill your characters if you don't have a sentinel out and healers... I spent more time healing then I did fighting the first time.
@FlameSpyro1 Its alot different in terms of the story but adds some new angles to the original story like what actually happened to Fang and Vanille, plus Cacoon and Pulse.

@dguy117 see the thing is in the beginning of the first orphan fight when he uses merciless judgement, it does an amount of damage based on your max and current hp. So even if you had, like, 20,000 hp, Orphan would deal 19,000 damage in the bginning
Y'know, the feminine part of Orphan's shell is supposed to be how Barthandelus envisions Lindzei (the goddess that founded Cocoon), with the serpent tail and everything.

I beat Orphan the first time, it was really hard. But my party wasn't even level 5 on any crystalarium (I was just playing the game for the story). I'm now trying to get all trophies including the fully developing all characters. And I just got the growth egg. Orphan shall pay. I'm gonna tear him apart piece by piece ^_^

Put Hope& Snow in your party, lvl. Hope up in the synergist role to keep your buffs up
Equip fortisol, ethersol, agestol, etc before the battle, make sure you have two medics, and when you have space to breathe, hammer him w/ relentless assault, and when you get rid of his heads, KEEP YOUR HP UP!!!!!!!!!
