Dumb ass anchor! It has been stated my times in our head' "Air travel is many times safer than auto". This was not an accident, not a crash, it was a landing that ended safely....
I was on that flight, and the basic instructions were also given in English, but they were very brief - something like "We are having a technical difficulty - crew, prepare the cabin for an emergency landing". Then the crew went about their way preparing the cabin and passengers.
I was one of the smoothest and quietest landings I've ever been in.
@pattycakes9876 Pardon! I made a mistake in my writing. I ment that "Now people will finally start talking Polish people CAN land a plane" (we had this big plane crash where our presiden't died about year and a half ago and jokes about Polish people and airplane crashing where endless since then.. :/ )
@maciekur oh ya i know all about the crash, im polish too!! ja myszlalam ze ty sie smiejesz z tego pilota, jakby to bylo jego wina ze kola nie chcieli wyjszcz z samolota
@pattycakes9876 Nie, nie, nie. Pilot akurat genialny, poprostu w jakimś stopniu mam ulgę bo do tej pory "Polacy w samolocie = smoleńsk" a teraz coś pozytywnego dla odmiany
BRAVO BRAVO!!! Captain Sullenberger himself, the hero captain who landed his airplane in an emergency landing in the Hudson River, would have been very proud here of this pilot AND air traffic controller and land personnel for ensuring this successful and safe outcome.
@dinan545bmw European pilot standards tend to be far different than American(far better in fact to the point some countries require them to be in the air force first). You just make it sound retarded.
@Delfinom - hey there! your point here is very well taken! thank you. I was merely stating again that BOTH landings, whether by an American OR European pilot were remarkable, while assuring the complete safety of its crew and passengers. This is made all the more remarkable, given the fact that one plane lost its landing gear and other plane completely lost engine power and landed in the Hudson RIVER. Please don't take my comment out of context. BOTH pilots performed magnificently. BEST
no you idiot! As if you didn't hear that the wheels DID NOT DEPLOY PRIOR TO LANDING!!! Polish airlines lands just as any other fucking airline! Keep your stupid jokes to yourself
Awesome landing, superb piloting.

1:18 - The president of the airline says there was no panic onboard
1:56 - "They say the passengers on that plane were in full-prayer mode, you know, thought this was their last moments on earth"
Can you expect anything else from the American media?
