I don't know. It doesn't happen with me. Or do you mean the stream in the underwater tunnel? When you're in the water, your speed increases and you're carried in the direciton of the water.
Have to say I do love Thomas Jefferson's old timey wagon, suits him well.
The first match was the greatest ever to take place in the history of Mario Kart, but it would have been better if your opponents had been using their respective Miis.
lol. He knew Thomas Jefferson who be interested in this, but then again.. it would seem like he'd have alot of fun! I also agree with Bndu, maybe it will become Celebrity Mario Kart one day. Lol.
Awesome races as always. I think it the second race you had it in the bag but in comes the Blue Shell. Oh well, at least you took second place. Btw, I like the celebrities in both those races. 5/5.
Darn, someone already beat me to the "Little Rascals"...although Spanky Hamm makes sense too.
Anyway, have you noticed the change in kart names? The Royal Racer and the Dragonetti are two that I picked up on since I just unlocked them. The Dragonetti is "Honeycoupe" in America and the Royal Racer is something different too (I need to check it again because I forgot). Anyway, that kart seems very fitting for Mr. Jefferson. Nice racing! I'd say Ben Franklin did a good job building that Wii!
I keep hearing about the Dragonetti; so that's the popular kart. I get the feeling that the games were localized mostly independently between America and Europe, collaboration happening only in some of the track names. (There's no way "Maple Treehouse" could get changed to "Maple Treeway" in both regions by coincidence.) Did the Daytripper get a change in names too?
I was wondering when someone would mention the kart, as I forgot to do so in the video description.
The Daytripper in America is the Royal Racer in Europe, I believe.
And yes, the Dragonetti (EU) or Honeycoupe (US) is an awesome kart. Definitely my favorite so far. It just looks nice, and I am able to handle it well. I took it online with Dry Bowser tonight, and won a number of races with it. I'm not a big fan of the heavyweights, though. I unlocked the Daytripper today as well. It handles well too. I'm taking it online with Bowser Jr. tonight to try it out against other people.
Oh yeah, Bowser Jr. is a middleweight now. He certainly clashes with the Daytripper.
What determines the color of the Honeycoupe? It's a bright gold with Rosalina, but before I trimmed down Jefferson into a middleweight, it was a midnight blue.
I think the colors are preset for all Miis since my Mii drives a midnight blue Honeycoupe as well.
Other than that, the character determines its color. I was hoping it would be a light blue-green for Rosalina since that color suits the kart more as well as her, but oh well.
He definitely does clash with the Daytripper, but that's okay. This game has made me like Bowser Jr. a lot more than I used to. It's mostly due to not many people selecting him. I've grown to detest King Boo, however.
Scratch my first statement. It's not preset for ALL Miis since my sister's karts and bikes are all hot pink (Honeycoupe included). She looks like quite a diva in that kart. I'll have to show her. =P
Anyway, I guess it changes for both male and female Miis, but if Thomas Jefferson has the same color Honeycoupe as I do, I think it's the same for all males and the same for all females.
That's interesting. Black *is* a slimming color, though. Maybe they were very self-concious back then. =P
I just played with my Miis, and the colors are definitely preset. If you ever see my replays, you'll probably see a lot of Miis representing them. I never knew how much of a kick I'd get from seeing my grandma's Mii in a kart race.
Also, I took the Daytripper online, and I didn't do too well. I don't blame the kart though. The players were ruthless tonight.
The Blue Shell. And I guess because Morgan was riding a bike and outdid me with a wheelie. It may have also been lag that caused him to look like he was behind.
The president seemed really happy while he was racing. Still, I enjoy races with more people and like how it was in the last race, the closer the better.
Heh, I noticed that the 4th guy who showed up to race at Delfino Square was named "spanky". I wouldn't have been too surprised if it was in reference to Spanky of "Little Rascals". It's also nice to finally see some footage of the Royal Racer.
It's probably more a reference to Spanky Hamm from the TV show Drawn Together; Little Rascals is way too old for most people playing Mario Kart Wii to remember.
When Thomas says "A ha ha ha Ha!" when losing, is he crying or laughing at himself?

I thought they were going to use them too, as it would've been great to see Morgan Freeman riding a motorcycle.

I wonder if anyone in Florida has the balls to design a Mii with the name JThompson and make a license.

The real Jack Thompson has probably already done this.

this video is jokes, purely by the names of the racers! Who'd expect this kind of a matchup to play out?

I selected his favorite color as black, if that helps. After all, people seem to have worn only black during then, for some reason.

They are preset, but as far as i can tell its based on the kart/bike
Basically its blue for male mii's and pink for female mii's
However, some karts/bikes take the color of your mii's outfit (favorite color)
Or so i noticed, for the dolphin dasher appears blue on my mii, however, the mach bike has black outlines which is his favorite color.
