Look at Dave "Rook" Goldflies on bass with that big Alembic bass. This was a great band. I guess they don't support making music like this anymore. What a shame.
yeah this line up didn't last to long .after this Dickey Had a great solo band for the rest of the 80's that included Johnny Neil on Piano and future Gov't Mule drummer matt apts. They toured a lot in the NYC area and put on unforgetable shows.
I saw this band in Syracuse, NY @ Landmark theatre on this tour....awesome! Great memory. I also saw the soundcheck as I was an usher at the show. I was 15 yrs old, and I remember Betts saying "man I gotta go take a shower" afterwards...LOL.
Holy cow! The title of this song is actually "Rain" and it's the first song on Richard ("Dickey") Betts' "Highway Call" album. This arrangement is *outstanding*... I wish I could get a copy of this video!!!
There's a version with much better quality on Chuck Leavell's website, but for some reason Youtube won't let me put it in my comment.

Inasmuch as this group never made it into the studio, clips like this are a rare gift. Thanks for posting it.
