  • Amazing job !!! How can you stay on with the fast pivit bare back!!!?!

  • Hey Guys,Thanks For All The Wonderfull Comments Her Name Is Roxy!!

  • omg i luved this! i went last year and it was a blast!!! :)

  • AWESOME...EVERY RIDERS ULTIMATE DREAM IS TA BE 1 WITH THERE HORSE LIKE THAT...AMAZING!

  • She is my inspiration in life... I have so much respect for her!

  • she trained my reigning horse

  • i wish that i had a horse that looked like that!!! and trained like that!! ha but awesome riding!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! my dream is to be like that one day

  • My mare looks like that :-) Solid black with the left hind sock

  • ok for a horse to get that way you dont have punish your horse, it called alot of time and work!!!!!!! IDK where you think she might do that but i think you are very wrong!

  • OMG she is so amazing. i have watched so many of her videos and i never get tired of watching them! She is AMAZING and so is her horse! im just getting into reining and im using her for somebody to look up to! She gives me the motivation i need to try harder and NEVER quit!

  • I wonder if it matters to the mare which music is being played while performing. When I lope/warm up my mare I sing Walking After Midnight" (Patsy Cline) & I think she's more agreeable when I do. BUT she difinitely knows when I get to the end of the song. When we're at a show in the warmup arena and she's a little nervouse, I sing to her. Yes, it's a little embarrassing, but it relaxes my mare so everyone can just' smooch mia culo" if they don't like it. hahahahahahah

  • Oh yeah. My instructor does alot of freestyle dressage, and I've ridden to music several times, and it definitly affects the horses. The quarter horse I ride gets really hot when we put music on xD

  • Don't they just bring such utter enjoyment into our lives? :)!!!!!!!!

  • I really admire Stacy, I think she has an incredible gift with horses! I find the bond between her and her horse very amazing!

  • wow amazing absolutley amazing! :)

  • EVERY rider out there can appreciate and learn from this. Everyone is so caught up in winning, but isn't the point of riding to love, enjoy, and share a bond with horses just like this?

    :) absoloutely beautiful.

  • @HunterJumper147 what´s the horse name?

  • I've got tears in my eyes! This song always reminds me of my old horse, Maggie....

    Love you, Mags!

  • Hi guys, does anyone know what training techniques Stacy uses to get horses up to this level - ie: positive punishment (eg whip) negative reinfocement (spurs / bit)? I am assuming that she doesn't just jump on bridleless right from the start! Thanks :)

  • she has rlly small spurs, and has been training for five days a week, two hours straight, for 4 years to get this far. and trix is 11 years old

  • Stacy is wonderful <3

Can someone tell me what this song is? ^^

  • The Dance - Garth Brooks

  • Just saw Stacey 3 days at NE Horse Expo. Also watched training DVD with young horse. Am deeply touched by her gentleness, humility and the intelligent, patient "thoughtfulness" of her methods (600 hrs to train Roxy). She is a gifted teacher too. As a new rider, having seen her in person, she and Roxy really seem to me so very "natural,"(incl spurs)though obviously not easy. I also deeply respect the strength her husband shows in their relationship - not threatened by her "stardom" and limelight.

  • Stacy and Whizards Baby Doll, aka-Roxy work well together..Stacy is my idol and she clearly knows her stuff!

  • I cried.. What great teamwork..

  • WOOW she is amazing. i live in hamburg which is like 30 min from harrisburg and i tried getting there the day she was there but i couldn't make it which sucked! i went on like a sunday. but she is amazing!!!

  • wow stacy is so amazing the first time i saw this i acctually cried b/c this is an incredible bond between horse and rider i wish i could do that i can do walk trot and canter but not spins sidesteps or gallops go stacy!!!!

  • Thank you so much for posting this video. I didn't get to the Expo this year. She was the only one I wanted to see.

  • I love her horse, he's SO well trained... and she is excellent.

I cried when I saw this in person.

  • Once again...good job, I love the natural bond you gain with your horses. See you next year!

  • such a talented rider

  • I love the way so rides and has such a bond with her horses! Where is the rest of the video?? She is about to do a "Seminar"!! I want to her what she has to say!!??

Thank you so much for posting!! I love watching her work with her horses- She is Amazing for as young as she is!!!

  • Does anyone know what kind of horse she has? Very lovely....and she is an excellent rider...

  • she had a quarter horse mare

  • her horse is a american quarter horse mare, reiner.

  • I have seen this woman work 'behind the scenes', and quite frankly, IMHO, she is the best horseperson EVER. She has such a bond with Roxie it is unbelievable, and every performance she does nearly brings me to tears. Not only is she an amazing rider, she is a wife and mother to three boys. She is amazing.

  • it looks great and she can ride very good.

I hope she do that with horse friendly methods behind the stage.

  • i havent seen her behind the stage, but if she was mistreating this horse, you would be able to tell. a couple times during this video you can see the horse licking and chewing, which means the horse has respect(submitting) for her. i dont think that if she was mistreating the horse, the horse would have respect for her.

  • I was there for that demo and she was amazing and a great speaker as well. She deserves the highest props!

  • This is just amazing. Stacy's riding abilities can't be praised in words. She is incredible.

  • i love it. i ahve a 3 yr that i can ride walk trot cantor, turns on the haunches, stoping, figure eights and backing all bridleless its feels pretty cool to ahve such a great relationship with your horse.

  • Huge spurs DO NOT equal dead sided horses. If you knew ANYTHING about her riding youd KNOW that the SLIGHTEST touch is what askes for the flying lead changes and a SHIFT OF WEIGHT=the slides. Clearly shes a better rider than either of you.

  • I have watched her perform many times. She only uses spurs humanely. If you don't believe it, take a look at the horse next time you see her in person. The horse licks its lips, chews: All signs of a happy and content horse. I believe in Stacey so much that MY horse is going to her for training. She can teach him that relaxation and contentedness under saddle. If you don't understand it, don't make a comment. you won't find a better cared for horse than Whiz......

  • Clearly you know NOTHING about her riding, those arent "BIG" spurs, they are extended ones due to HOW you teach your horse to be ridden the way she is riding her. And if your going to comment about her, where are you to comment about everyone else who uses spurs in the shoulders??

  • I only wish I could be that good

  • Horses wring their tails for many reasons - and not just when annoyed or in pain. Also they do it for balance changes.

  • I got to see her horse up close and pet it!!!

  • That was just awesome!

  • She´s the best!

  • It's amazing. But I keep noticing one thing--her horses seem so rank what with all the tail wringing. Not that big a deal, but detracting from the overall performance.

  • Geesh, if that's RANK, I'll take it!

  • there is nothing wrong with tail wringing, if her horse was so rank then why would it let her do so much with her. doing all those maneuvers, espically without a saddle or a bridle, you have to use every part of your leg and that is just the horses natural response. it also helps to keep balance, espically in the spin, lets see you go so fast and plant that inside rear hind now tell me that wouldnt be hard for you to keep your balance.

  • I never said it was a bad thing, I just said it detracts from the overall performance. And I ride dressage so I understand all about using their tail to balance, it's an extension of their spine so of course it helps them balance. And I didn't have a saddle for the first 5/6 years I rode, so yeah, I could most likely handle the spins and such.

  • associating tail wringing with being rank is saying it as a bad thing. all riding is based upon dressage and my trainer is a reining trainer so i know all about a horse needing to keep their balance espically in spins and stops. and not having a saddle has nothing to do with it.

  • i luv stacy westfall i saw her clinics last year @ equine affaire and luved her so much - i want to go to one of her clinics in the fall

  • i would love to see her maybe at next years equine affaire

  • Equine Affaire has the same old tiring demos, year after year. If I didn't have to be there as a vendor, I wouldnt even bother anymore, but yes, Stacey would be fabulous

  • I went here, too! We weren't sitting far from each other, either, judging by your video...yeah Stacy!!!
