@bizziaremoney510 in serbia to :P i get in fights eaven some times one on 3 and they always get lighter punishments then me ... life isn't fair so beet the crap out of them because u will finish with a worse punishment
@bizziaremoney510 kid just leave judo for the judoca's, next time a punk does that to you just punch him... dont go trying techniques you dont know, for example an ippon soe nage on ciment would probably put this "punk" in a wheelchair for life...
@bizziaremoney510 It depends in what state you live in. However some states if the other person throws the first punch and it hits you, you are legally allowed to fight back and defend yourself, now just because your school forbids you to defend yourself, thats just school policy. You don't need to listen to it, under the law usually, you are authorized fight force with force. But once he's no longer a threat or he's knocked out cold, then you have to leave him, you cannot use deady force.
It's okay. Anything that happens under high school doesn't count towards your future. Psh...5 days of suspension. I call that 5 days of relaxation. In the 3rd grade I broke someone's skull. The other person got in trouble. LOL
Learned this throw in BJJ. Got into rolling with a fella at least 30 pounds heavier. Kinda pushed him, he pushed back with speed and strength. Man I sent this dude flying he landed almost outside of the tattle going like WTF just happened.
I'll just say right now. Many of my fellow students have tried this throw on me, but their foot was a little higher and a little to the left when they did it. My potential children will suffer because of this -____-
tomoe nagi is a reverse throw and works best as a counter to aggressive forward movement by the opponent! I also won my first tournament with this throw when I was 14...
@OggyTheTiger yeah i don't think it matters bc it's all about throwing ppl's center of gravity off. if he were to sit on you though...that'ts a problem lol.
Judo is only good as third martial art. Allways fallow this order, when learning MIXED martial arts: punching distance, kicking distance, grapling distance andhand traping distance. Therefore, you must analyze all stiles looking from SCIENCE point of wiev (if you are not idiot of course) then order will be like this: boxing, muay thai, tae kwon do, judo, jiu jitsu, wing chun. These stiles are best in theyr distances then other stiles, tested and proved by science. All other arts are useless...
@ThePadus ... because MMA is the ultimate ruleset for any kind of combat style possibly required, right? No, not right. Every style has its function, its beauty, its tradition, its purpose, its limitations. Every ruleset does. You caught against impossible odds and you NEED to look flashy to scare off the rest of them? Just one thing MMA doesn't cover. There is no such thing as the "ultimate" fighting style or one being "better" than another. They are better and worse in different ways.
@k00lkane You can by holding their wrists but it is not advised as due too natural sweat on the opponent with your force going back with gravity pushing down aswell you will more likely to lose the grip and risk them passing your guard.
I like going up to people who are texting while walking and surprising them with this move. Needless to say they pay a little more attention to their environment for at least the next hour.
its actually far more effective if when you fall onto your back you complete it with a backwards roll, leaving you with full mount and a smoother throw.
@hjtjegrinwis but if you don't know how to fall and fall on concrete will that hurt? I'm interested in Judo for street fighting because I've seen some good moves.
@Romaniandick1994 the concept of breakfalling is to place the brunt of the force redirecting it to the arm break falling, of course it would hurt on concrete but it prevents you from potential paralasis,
For a more effective Tomoe-Nage you should follow him by rolling backwards with him so you can take a Tate-Shio-Gatame. This way you will have the advantage after the throw.

A well-executed one of these can probably result in a broken neck. My sensei showed it to me once (using it on me) and bloodymercilesscrap it was kinda scary.
When someone is bum rushing you, its takes a ton of self control to stay cool until the last split second when this move requires explosive movement along with coordination. Its better to play tackle football or rugby full contact to refine this into instinct.
I had this move launched on me by a Blackbelt... it sucked... If you don't tuck and roll 0:11, you're gonna face plant. As long as you roll (literally in the air) the worst you will get is the wind knocked out of you and I'd recommend not absorbing the full impact with your back. ^_^
i would NEVER use tomoe nage outside the tatami. it's already hard to use it in sport fights, where you weight the same of your opponent and you have a comfortable floor to land on. imagine to use it with a big guy in a street made of asphalt, eventually with broken bottles all around.
@celermail Look it at this way considering the fact that most of the fights on the streets come with a knife or something pointy(lolwtf?),what would you prefer, getting stabbed or your back hurted a day or two?
@boragoom haha i can say that.. as a black belt, national champion of my country (holland) and 10years of experience... at a age of 15... you can lift a fat person... only if u use enough force... its not that hard.. thats why its called a sacrifce throw... ;)
I tried this on my friend..... it was pretty sad it was on the grass and he landed like 6 feet away from me..... he wasnt hurt but... well he didnt want to try it again.. woops
would this be a good martial art to learn if i'm a small guy? i'm like, 5'4" and i was just wondering if this or another martial art would be good for countering against bigger guys.
Judo's cool. Try it & see if you enjoy doing it. I'm a Wing Chun guy, but I have nothing but respect for Judo. It's a stripped down version of Jiu-Jitsu that focuses on the throw. The guy who invented it figured that once your enemy was thrown (& you were still standing), finishing him off was a no-brainer, so the important thing to really focus on was the initial throw. If you enjoy doing Judo, it'll no doubt serve you well against bigger guys.
@UesugiVincentibanez yes it would, if you're small it's easy to get very fast, i'm 1m90 (sorry not from the us^^) and I did judo. fight against small opponents is quite hard because their movements aren't so easy to predict,
@UesugiVincentibanez brazilian jiu jitsu. specifically designed from japanese jiu jitsu so a smaller person can defeat a larger and stronger opponent.
@UesugiVincentibanez BJJ it's the thing i'd recomend the most. Although Judo balances the fight a lot, it still has a lot of techniques that require you to be stronger than your opponent's weight, whereas in BJJ, it deletes all those techniques and rebalance them.
@ItsCageBaby Well I'm assuming your question pertains to two parts: 1. why you're getting knocked down easy despite ur strong legs and 2. how to not get ur ass kicked when ur down.
For 1. It's probably because of your balance and stance. Bend your knees a lil bit more and position your feet at an angle - any basic video on boxing steps will help you with that one. And take Taekwondo for balance.
For 2. When you're down, keep your legs up so he can't get to you - if he's...
already on you, then put ur guard up and try to bring him close to your body so that his flailing arms don't gain acceleration. It's hard to get power to hurt you when the other guy can't get the distance. Jiujitsu isn't my specialty so any flipping ground techniques you'll have to ask someone else. All i know is that the key is to shift the opponent's balance in one direction.
i saved a touch down in backyard football using this move( minus the leg flip) on a dude that was a solid 6 '2'' 220 and i was 6'1'' 170. he was in a dead sprint and i was standing with no momentum.
@shadownoob83 you'd be surprised has a 40 kilo person can throw an 80 kilo one with this move, just needs trainin, and training, and maybe more training
@aznboi992 Then it'll work even better. Remember, you aren't lifting them with your own mucles; you're using the enemy's own momentum to throw them. If it's "a really, really fat guy," that means more momentum which makes the throw more effective.
@cleeprevo no u resist him and then u feel him push towards u, u feel his strength gather, yeah he is stronger than u, use it to your advantage. help him by pulling on his gi forward towards u. Use his force added in with your own direct him to where to fall if u can.
Tomoe Nage......sounds like a cheap asian porn title.

Although Judo balances the fight a lot, it still has a lot of techniques that require you to be stronger than your opponent's weight, whereas in BJJ, it deletes all those techniques and rebalance them.

i get knocked down really easy but my legs are strong anyone wanna tell me what i should look at for when im down
ItsCageBaby 1 year ago

All i know is that the key is to shift the opponent's balance in one direction.

this move is really easy to perform

One question would it hurt my back if I did this someday? I'd hate doing it on concreate, but I guess it is better than being dead.

i saved a touch down in backyard football using this move( minus the leg flip) on a dude that was a solid 6 '2'' 220 and i was 6'1'' 170. he was in a dead sprint and i was standing with no momentum.
made the tackle. move works.

aznboi992 1 year ago
@aznboi992 what if he rings out? there's not much of a barrier there...its hardwood floor...
Wolfsbane909 1 year ago
@aznboi992 Then it works aswell... maybe even works better, it's all about leverage and technique.
UnFriendlyDeath666 1 year ago
@aznboi992 if it's a really fat guy dont try it u gona brake your own leg LOL
shadownoob83 1 year ago
@shadownoob83 you'd be surprised has a 40 kilo person can throw an 80 kilo one with this move, just needs trainin, and training, and maybe more training
freakfilicon 1 year ago
@aznboi992 Then it'll work even better. Remember, you aren't lifting them with your own mucles; you're using the enemy's own momentum to throw them. If it's "a really, really fat guy," that means more momentum which makes the throw more effective.

@cleeprevo no u resist him and then u feel him push towards u, u feel his strength gather, yeah he is stronger than u, use it to your advantage. help him by pulling on his gi forward towards u. Use his force added in with your own direct him to where to fall if u can.
Wolfsbane909 1 year ago
