I appreciate that this shows how much still needs to be done. There are people who want to go home. They can't because the money hasn't been paid out, or because they're so far flung and trying to take care of their families. New Orleans is far more than the Quarter. It's the people. It's the shotgun houses on Magazine St., and the Cat hospital next to the Dog hospital next to the rummage shop. We have not forgotten her, even if the media has.

Terrible. I know it's hard for a person who was effected by Katrina to hear that, but big tragedies like this make human relationships stronger.
