The war started 1939, And the war wasnt just fought in Europe. There was many Fronts-Europe,Africa,Asia,Pacific. Also Germany wasnt fighting alone! They were part of the Axis Alliance from many Nations the biggest Germany,Italy,Japan,Finland,etc etc All the Allied Nation were vital, Mainly Soviets and British Empire without the war would have been lost, Also the U.S for there resources and supplies and loans.

If you ever read a book on just the German-Russian part of the war you see how Nazi leadership made countless promises of supplies and shipments of tanks ect. that they never came through on. They also made countless strategic mistakes. The sixth Army that sieged Stalingrad was an incomplete army. They did not have a full panzer division with them, most of them had been sent south.
Also the German army was never allowed a strategic retreat to regroup and create defensive positiions.

The best fighters were Finnish soldiers. They were able to fight Soviets 1:4 and Nazi Germans 1:4. For as long as Finns had 1:4 ratio they were defeating the enemy.
Germans were really good till mid 1943, after that Soviets learned from them and outperformed them.
Americans were fresh to that type of battle, but if they stayed longer in the war they would be as good as Germans. Germans were simply more experienced by 1944 they had 6 years of war experience.

95% of the European Axis forces were fighting in the east and lost. Another 5% on the eastern front would not make a difference for Russians. Russians kept almost 3 millions soldiers in the east just in case Japan attacks. If both moved their remote forces to face each other Germany would be screwed badly way faster.
also american policy was to rotate out the most experienced pilots to act as training cadre. The Germans failed to have such fore sight so that by wars end they had a nucleus of great experienced pilots and new pilots barely able to take off and land. This also occured with the Japanese.

Actually at the beginning of the war United Nazi Axis forces had advantage of the 1:3 - 1 . Also for 4 years 1941 -44 Axis countries enjoyed twice as large population versus the Soviets. At its peak point Soviets had 1.4 Soldiers for every Axis soldier. What Soviets enjoyed the most is their cheap mass produced weapons. The managed to produce 10 sub-machine guns, 10 tanks and airplanes for every axis one.

WWI was different France had Germany in check already the U.K. & U.S.A. tipped the scales against them... but in WWII France was effectively already fighting along side the Germans in Russia(S.S.).

If you ever read a book on just the German-Russian part of the war you see how Nazi leadership made countless promises of supplies and shipments of tanks ect. that they never came through on. They also made countless strategic mistakes. The sixth Army that sieged Stalingrad was an incomplete army. They did not have a full panzer division with them, most of them had been sent south.
Also the German army was never allowed a strategic retreat to regroup and create defensive positiions.

The best fighters were Finnish soldiers. They were able to fight Soviets 1:4 and Nazi Germans 1:4. For as long as Finns had 1:4 ratio they were defeating the enemy.
Germans were really good till mid 1943, after that Soviets learned from them and outperformed them.
Americans were fresh to that type of battle, but if they stayed longer in the war they would be as good as Germans. Germans were simply more experienced by 1944 they had 6 years of war experience.

it was widely recogignized that the Americans had the best artillary. Their Tank doctrine was flawed but their use of battelield support with airpower in combined arms became excellent. It is all a matter of when By the time of the Normandy invasion German air power was effectivly ineffective. Also the American daylight bombing campaign had no German equal. What if all the 88's deployed in air defence could have been used against the Russians?

95% of the European Axis forces were fighting in the east and lost. Another 5% on the eastern front would not make a difference for Russians. Russians kept almost 3 millions soldiers in the east just in case Japan attacks. If both moved their remote forces to face each other Germany would be screwed badly way faster.

also american policy was to rotate out the most experienced pilots to act as training cadre. The Germans failed to have such fore sight so that by wars end they had a nucleus of great experienced pilots and new pilots barely able to take off and land. This also occured with the Japanese.

There's no doubt about that. It's obvious they had the finest soldiers the world had ever seen. That, combined with German engineering, made them bloody formidable. It's an insult to the people who fought them to say differently. Sheer weight of Allied numbers and American industrial might is what swung it.

Actually at the beginning of the war United Nazi Axis forces had advantage of the 1:3 - 1 . Also for 4 years 1941 -44 Axis countries enjoyed twice as large population versus the Soviets. At its peak point Soviets had 1.4 Soldiers for every Axis soldier. What Soviets enjoyed the most is their cheap mass produced weapons. The managed to produce 10 sub-machine guns, 10 tanks and airplanes for every axis one.
Soviets simply outproduced Germans.

Greater Germany had only 80 million people, combined with Italy, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria would make it no more than 150,000,000, if that. Plus the Axis troops were fighting on all fronts while the Soviets only had to concentrate on one.

International Law precedes WW II. The Nurenburg trials, the creation of the UN, and Bretton Woods replaced the old order that was shattered during WW II, but International Law was not created, just remade after the war.
