buy the float kit for the super cub. $35. it comes with a larger prop for increased thrust nescessary for water ops. also buy the upgraded 8-cell battey (as opposed to the stock 6-cell). more power an longer flight time. you can also make good skis (for snow, not water) by layering plastic (ex.- milk jug) into a design. get 4 or 5 layers for strength and make them barely wider than the wheels so your aerodynamics arent affected much. might take some experimenting on your part. the float

THE SKIS DONT WORK IVE TRIED EVERY DESIGN IMAGINEABLE IT ALWAYS MESSES UP THE AERODYNAMICS AND IT DOESNT FLY RIGHT

i modified my mini super cub with the prop from a super cub with floats, i also have purchaced better batteries which increase flight time to 15 mins dependant on trigger happiness, with the massive prop i only needs 25-35% throttle to climb/fly which adds 7-10 mins, my only concern is that well 1st of all i need to make sure the prop is horizontal when preparing to land if its vertical it catches, but with the mod of a massive prop ruin my motor seeing as it is not factory standard.

hey thanks for the vids, i bought one today cant wait for it for $93 with an extra prop, so 3 props in total, one on the plane, one in the bag, and another extra (cost 2.83) bought from advantage hobby best place to buy one!!!!

oh with mine put on the bigger super cub tires the other hobbyzone one and you end up with a more scale looking cub but i put 3 and half inch and it is scale to the real thing with bush tires

here´s what u can do with the skids.

buy the landing gear for the airplane. so now you´ll have two sets. take any one and remove the wheels. put glue on the part where the wheel goes on and glue it to the skids.

that 4 channel is actually small compared to a 1/4 scale 91" wingspan piper cub sold by nitroplanes.thats 7.6 feet of wingspan!
