When you read & compare the Canonical Gospels with the spurious ones, the first thing that strikes you is that the former are true to life, and the latter contain fantasy and reflect the later centuries. The latter contain very unlikely stories aimed at satisfying people's curiosity, but of no use for salvation. The canonical gospels were accepted from scratch by the church, the apocrypha had a limited circulation and were never part of the canon.

Duhh.. I know what apocrypha means. Just like in Islam, we have fabricated hadeeth. In Christianity also you have fabricated Gospels.
But it's not well documented and I'm not convinced enough with it. One of the reasons is because the time gap between Jesus and Gospels is quite large. Secondly, the influence of the Romans on the Church towards the selection of Gospels. Anyway, like I said, even you disprove Islam, that does not in any logical sense prove Christianity. LOL.

You are free to ignore the evidence. I bet you have read none of the apocryphal gospels. Therefore you don't know the difference between the canonical Gospels, which were accepted by the church from the very beginning in the first century and pseudepigraphical works from later centuries. You are simply ill informed. If you had watched James White's video, you would also know that nothing was decided as regards the Gospels at the Council of Nicea.

First, I have raised serious doubts about the Church Authority who was responsible of making other Gospels as Apocrypha.
Secondly, God repeated the same story over and over again from the Injeel (oral tradition given to Jesus pbuh) in the Quran. Thus, other things from other Gospels that you claim to be Apocrypha have good chance that it could happen.
Thirdly, what I have said is not words of mine but words of serious Bible critiques experts who you may not call them Christians of course. LOL

Anyone can make WILD UNSUBSTANTIATED ACCUSATIONS. The fact is that the canonical gospels are genuine, and the apocrypha are spurious. If you think the Apocrypha are based on fact, you will have to produce reputable scholars who confirm this. The canonical gospels have been recognized by the church from the beginning. Give proof that these Apocrypha were used widely by the church & were recognized; you can't. It is just wishful thinking. You cannot name one single authority for ur assertions.

The Samaritans only recognize five books in their Bible. The Ethiopian Orthodox church has 81 books in its Bible. The Syrians have 22 books in their Bible, while the Roman Catholics and Protestants have 27 books.
It's funny how some Church says this particular gospel is canonized and the other Church says this particular gospel is not canonized in their book. How do you expect me to believe in the heavily influenced Roman Church? Haha

I've listened to Bart Ehrman and also ex Christians who left Christianity because of textual critiques. That's all I know. But still, I think these ex Christians sometimes make sense although some of them may not have PhD from Harvard. Plus, the Roman influence on the church is quite clear even if you ask the scholars.

That Jabr was indeed a foreigner, and non-Arab, certainly doesnt mean he couldnt speak Arabic. If he didnt, how could Mohammed have spent so much time with him, that he had to make excuses for it?
