I'll give it this...even though Vanilla Ice was blacker than this guy I do remember this advert from way back, and watching it does put me in a nostalgic mind set for how excited I used to get about game boy games. For a fairly minimal commercial it does have a lot of atmosphere and it does make you remember the product, even years down the line, so I suppose from that point of view it is pretty successful. Back when rap was so new people just tacked it onto anything for the kids!
