Honesly, I dont think the show has as much yaoi as you claim. it was very sparatic and suttle I thought. it focused more on the charactor development of the villian and the action. and storyline. compared to other shows this hardly has any yaoi. I think you made it a bigger deal in your head than it really was.

In a multitude of ways, the anime barely lives up to the manga, which really challenges Tsuzuki and Hisoka's...um..."relationship" as well as brings up even more interesting stories while proving that the origin of this anime is a hundred times better than what it became, mostly due to being unpopular and having a pretty noticeably small budget.

A lot of people don't know this show, but as a hardcore fan of the MANGA, not anime, this was my first series that introduced me to slash, and boy did it catch my attention. the manga explains a lot more, has more interesting characters, and goes way more into Tsuzuki's past than the anime does.

I do find some of the plots in it rather ridiculous, but it has many good points as well. The manga delves more deeply into that.

It's amusing to me that you liked X though, seeing as it is just as bad [good] as Yami no Matsuei, what with Fuuma licking Kamui every other chance he gets.

Lol it's only a joke. I don't have a response cus it's just a TV show. It's my standard response to all these type of comments because at the end of the day it's all about having fun. ::sighs:: But if I have to reply in the fashion that wouls suit you than I shall. It was jsut easier to get the point across. Second, unless we are talking about he movie X, which I could not sit through, then I don't remember Kamui ever being licked. Yes there was some homoerotic moments, but for any one that has seen my Saiyuki reload review you can tell I enjoy that kind of thing sometimes. Last I am only reviewing the show not the manga. I want the show to stand on it's own when reviewed, but from what I hear about the manga you are right.

Actually, the manga is more expansive & explains alot of what's going on. You can even check out wikipedia to even get the most explaintion of what going on. Since sometimes the manga maybe selling as quickly as the anime there may not be time to wrap up everything neatly so they( the company of said series) might make the anime shorter.

It happens a lot in that industry.
