I really like Charlotte Church as a person - great attitude - but don't think her soul/ rock style singing is that good - comes across a bit too forced, especially as people have said, when next to Sharleen Spiteri, who is an effortlessly lush vocalist.

I don't think it was very wise of Charlotte to take the same stage with Sharleen. :) Very few can compete with that voice.

Seeing the date that this video was posted, yes, she was pregnant. She had her child at the beginning of this year (2009). Man, why does everyone think that being means you're healthy. If she's healthy (eating right, staying active, etc) what difference does it make that she's "fatter" than other artists. It ticks me off.

Not really about the looks... although as you all brought it up, Sharleen is for hotter than miss Church. Evene though she is 41.

As for the singing, Sharleen wipes the floor with Charlotte. No contest. Better tone, warmth, feeling, althought the harmony bit was ok, when Carlotte stopped trying to compete and just became the backing singer for a few bars.

Sharleen has a voice to suit this song, smooth, round and light. A lot like Dusty herself and her album melody is fantastic. shame it isn't doing as well as it should be.

Yeah, but "o.k." is not good enough for an album like that... I guess people used to filler songs really took offense at the running length (and the pretty hefty price, at least in the U.S.)

Gotta agree, Charlotte always tries to out sing her guests, but her voice doesn't always suit the songs they sing. Sharleen has a voice that you are at ease with for hours, because its more mellow. I fear Charlottes' voice would rip my ears off if I had to listen to her for a long period. I can't believe the album isn't doing better, or maybe it is, and its just not getting the publicity.

CC has a much better tone to her voice. Spiteri sounds a bit nazal at times. I think this really works because they're voices don't go together at all; i love it!

Fab duet, but so glad sharleen didn't succumb to being interviewed by Chazza, who's technique seems to consist solely of swearing. Does she do that as some kind of infantile shock tactic (which doesn't work on anyone over about the age of 12) to cover up the fact that she's just a chav with no ability other than singing?

charlotte deosn't nterveiw the sining acts 9/10 times anyway. and bear in mind charlotte is quite young and at 22 she is bound to swear a bit(or a lot)
