I think he's coping well with this rifle in an ad hoc situation. Utilizing the bag as a make do rest. In a survival situation you use what you have. Good Vid!!
hey man nice gun! im looking into getting a remington 700 model but alot of forums recommend the FN SPR over the remignton 700 cause they say it flex's to much, and out of the box and ect.. the FN beats the remington 700 hands down.. whats your oppinion?
Very nice shooting rifle. I'd just like to say work on the fundamentals. Like loading the rifle. FLP will help with that, as well as give you an extra round ready to go assuming you're shooting .308. Nice vid.
Hell, they are already invading Mainland USA. But they're doing it the smart way which is studying sciences, math and engineering and taking over manufacturing, research and development while Americans play with their guns.
Hmmm I think im getting your drift, not to mention our defense Linguist most of them are not even Pure US citizen. anyways only Japan attacked the mainland twice. 1 is in pearl harbour the other one is near alaska or near that area.
Testing the overall accuracy in a rifle is not measured by one shot, but a several shot group. 100 meters is the pretty standard to check the overall group size.
I've got the SPR topped with a MK III. With Federal match grade ammo and a good rest I can make .5" groups all day long. FN makes a great rifle. To me it's a "go between" rifle that's greater then the average shelf rifle, but not quite as expensive as a custom rifle. Good choice in hardware.
I would like to see your target and a 5 shot group.
the Fn Fatal Semi. Set gas Plug to 2 or 1, 1KLM incline 3 on your venier rear apature close your fine bezil peep to object, AS for wind and fine adjustments fuck it, You dont have time let it fly, If your reer peep is full hes down or gone or worse., 308 anytime anywhere weapon. I Love the bolt action as well.
You had really ought to use your non firing hand to support the stock at rear, you will be much more stable. also good to see people using a bag instead of a bipod thought you should use a ruck. also work on your mag changes.
Good advice. I have switched to a rear stock hold, and shooting off a ruck has givin me some awesome results. I switched out the mag system in the video, my rifle now runs AICS mags which are much easier to change as the have a little more purchase on them when inserting into the mag well. I think I should put a new video up, as this one was made when I first got the rifle.
OK, First, congratulations on an awesome rifle. The FN SPR has just been adopted by the FBI Sniper teams, and does have a 24" chromium lined barrel. It is capable of under .5 MOA out of the box with match grade ammo.
You should have shown your target at the end of your flick.
As for comparing, the Rem 700 is a good starting point, but does not compare to the FN. Needs lots of work to get to the same level.
dude the SF uses the spr they use the special perpose rifle mod 1 for when they assassinate some one and now the army is trying to convert to the m102
special forces doesnt not use a SPR. US army uses the M24 and the M25 (MK11 Mod 0) the Marine Corp uses the M40A3, the M82A3 SASR and the Sam-R and the MK11. I believe the only people using the FN SPR's are the Law Enforcment agencies. And the Model 700 action is one of the best actions out there for a bolt rifle.
i can't make up my mind between remington 700 and FN spr. i'm looking for a good advice from anyone, if you have experience(d) with either one or both, please share them, might help me make better decision... thank you...
thats a badass rifle... im debating between that and the 700. i like the mcmillian stock on the spr though. anyways what length barrel is that? 24"? any feed back pros and cons about the rifle
I have the 24 inch model, 308, Leupold 3.5-10X40LR M3 Mildot scope, skim coat bed job, and it does well under .5 moa, great gun for 1K shooting, check out youngs in indiana, it is a 1000 yard range, the wind separates the men from the boys for sure
whats bad about not havint the balls (as you say) to kill someone... its called having feeling and not being a heartless bastard (not saying there is anything wrong w/ ppl fighting in the war)
is that the .308 or the 300 WSM ??? seems to be kicking alittle hard for the .308 i have rem 700 pss .308 and its nothing like that, i also have the .308 spr a1 20" BBL. is that the 20 or the 24??
yea its the .308. I have a shit ton of more mods on it now...New bottom metal (AI mags), big bolt handle (SSG style), pillar bedded, spacer system and should be getting my eagle stock pack in a couple days.
I'm going to get me one of these rifles pretty soon after I get my reloading kit. I think I might hold out for the SPR A3G. FNH guarantee's the SPR A3G to shoot half minute groups...now that's performance.
yea i am just getting it pillar bedded and trigger work done, as well as a bigger bolt knob. Same guy said he would thread it for 70 bucks, but im gonna hold of for a little while.
100 meter test is a fairly usless test, all those shells you have put down range at 100 yrds will fly completly differently when ur punching them out to 800-1200 yards....
true, I'm simply practicing the fundamentals at 100 (breathing, trigger squeeze consistent cheek weld etc) and I am joining the gun club newar me that offers that farthest distance range (600m)
as of now I have been trying all the possible match factory loads. I have run Federal Gold Medal Match 168 gr, Black Hills Match 168 gr, Hornady match 168 gr, HSM police match 175 gr and will soon be testing some AMAX (Hornady TAP and HSM AMAX). I am trying to find the best consistent factory load, and I will build my reloads off of those cartridges probably. I have been told to watch out for federal brass as it is especially soft for reloading purposes.
How much does the SPR cost??

SPR is another name for a Mk12 5.56 rifle. You will also see a lot of modified M14's and Mk11's for gas guns.

jmcdonald15171 4 years ago
I'm pretty sure that you can only fit 3 rounds of .300 wm in the FN-SPR, and 4 in .308 with the detachable mag. Add one round with the built in mag.
So I assume it's in .308. It looked like a detach mag.
