The first 2 Tribes games were godly, this is a sore disappointment in my honest opinion.
Somebody apparently wanted to gift me codes to this but, after seeing this in action and the initial buzz on this game, bleh. It's just the ultimate blacksheep of the Tribes series, far worse than Vengeance.
But hey, great video naco. I just don't really see a point to this game, it's just so dumbed down compared to Starsiege: Tribes the first.
I really don't see anything majorly wrong with this game. Combat is supremely fun, controls great if a tad floaty, they improved the damn jetpack immensely over the last month, there's room for some really awesome big damn hero moments.
Sure the game is a hell of a lot more individualistic, there's constant raging about the ballistic weapons, (I find them on par with the spinfusior but apparently that's a problem so they can go pound sand :D).
@naco2k Oh I don't have any problems with the ballistic weapons, hell I've played alot of mods in Tribes 1 and 2 that add pistols and shotguns and shit and it made the game *really* fun.
It's just I don't agree with the whole "loadout" shit, and the "Freemium" business style pisses me off. I rather have full access to a massive inventory and choose what I want than wait to unlock or buy it.
I also don't like how the inventory itself is very limited.
@KynikossDragonn You are complaining about a "free" game? Tribes 3 will probably not happen, not enough buyers for that right now. If this game does very well, maybe. As it is, gaming has moved to the consoles, something which I hate immensely.
As for constructive feedback, the developer seems open to ideas from the fans, like less hit-scan weapons.
