  • Did not know this song existed until Queens Of The Stone Age covered.

(and I already knew The kinks.)

  • Hard to believe this was considered a weak follow up to "Tired of Waiting" but the competition must have been tough back in 1965.

  • QOTSA brought me here :)

  • This is real R&B as far as I'm concerned. Great Stuff

  • only really great bands generate 'off-tunes' like this one

  • Um. Thank God.

  • Great music is the key to simplicity.

  • ...possibly, my favorite KINKS song...yeah..the hand claps speed ahead of the beat.

You think they didn't know that??? Very fun stuff. Great Band...

  • for fans of ANY band, the original is always going to be the best, no matter how talented the cover version is

    KINKS RULE!

  • Wow, the bass really makes this song.

  • qotsa covers this song =)

  • @joshgearey Hell Yes!

  • @joshgearey thats because QOTSA know the deal!!

  • RIP Pete Quaife and Dave you were adorable!

  • great song

  • happy birthday ray davies

  • THIS is real music!!

  • Great song!! I love what QOTSA did with it. It's one of the few covers that's actually better than the originals IMO. No offense to the Kinks though (great band!)

  • @assmane999 well .... i hope qotsa make a song that gets covered so i can say that the cover version is better but then put an annoying no offence at the end :P

    :D

  • @jamreaper take your pick

  • @jamreaper

A lot of qotsa songs are covered, like No One Knows.

    love the handclaps!

  • @alexohncoe buddy, im pretty sure No One Knows is an original by the Queens

  • @StrokesDrummer

What I meant was that QOTSA has songs that are covered by other artists (in reference to jamreaper). He said that he hopes that QOTSA will be covered. Several European bands have covered NOK and songs from R at festivals.

  • quality song :)

  • Great SONG!!

  • The Kinks will always be eternally rocking and one of the greatest bands of all time.

  • This is simple, yet SOOOO complicated. Ray Davies' seamless use of modulation is just unbelievable. Brian Wilson is the only other person I know of who can do that.

  • Keep on ruckin´Kinks,ey!

  • This makes me want to dance, QOTSA is good for just chilling

    both are fucking amazing

  • Simplicity is the key to great music.

  • Amen!

  • @Autonomy87 Simplicity is *a* key to great music, sometimes. The Kinks did simplicity right.

  • Wauuuuuuuuuooooooooooooooooouuuuuuuuaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

  • love the bass makes me wanna dance

  • Swweeet song.

  • love it with QotSA too...

  • man, seriously, this song just makes me want to get up and do a go-go dance.

  • This definately is my favourite Kinks song, closely followed by Shangri-la. i like the fact in the picture, it looks like Dave couldn't be arsed lol...

  • I love the bass!!!

  • great song!
