in the 30's we didn't have a professional league at all. we gathered a team together from semi-pro and amateur clubs in america. and just happened to win Bronze. same as we did in 1950 world cup win, we beat england in Brazil with only amateur and semi-pro players. yes we had a professional league in the 70's but it only lasted a few years. then it was gone. but we have had a professional league that is STILL running for only 13 years, known as MLS. anything else?

yea obviously the mls isn't la lige, serie a, or the premiership sidstam. I don't think anyone ever said it was. The problem isn't with the league the problem is with the player who underestimates the defenders of this league and thinks it will be a walk in the park and look how that turned out for them. The mls is 13 years old, the la liga is what 100 somthing. They can't be compared, but one thing is for sure the mls is progressing faster than any other league.

Dallas will certainly have the most depth at midfield in the league with Alvarez, Toja, Ricchetti, Denilson, Richardino, McCarty, Botero and Saragosa(assuming he's not traded/cut). That's also an incredibly strong midfield for an MLS club.
