To be honest denilson has acomplished more than any american player amongst his peers...for starters he's reached a World cup final in 98... one time world transfer fee record to real betis.
@arzlan9 Dude, this guy has done it all, he won a World Cup 2002, MVP in FIFA Confederation Cup 1997, I dont understand why Dallas didn't kept him. One of the best Brazilian players of all time
What does ass-fucking have to do with soccer? People who say this team is gay, that team is gay, really they want a giant shaft in the face, or they wouldn't reference it so damn much. Btw, Pele said the US would win a World Cup in his lifetime. We tied the WC champion Italy in 06, so don't be jealous of our general super'power world leader status.
yeah, he's so amazing he's playing in the 3rd division of Brazil. man he's awesome. even though we've got Clint Dempsey, Brad Friedel, Tim Howard, Brad Guzan, Eddie Johnson, all in the EPL. As well as Maurice Edu getting regular minutes for Rangers. Oi, and Clint Dempsey is joint-top scorer for Fulham this season. but hey, us americans, we're rubbish at football.
how many world cups have we qualified for? 8. Brazil 18. what's the best we've ever done? Bronze. 1930. how many years have we had a professional soccer league? 13. Brazil? 103. of course the United States isn't as competetive as the rest of the world. but in our first world cup we did get bronze. that's better than nothing.
it's not an excuse. it's the mothafucking truth. there's no national team in the world that can compete with the likes of Germany, Brazil, Italy, France, England...etc...if they've only had a PROFESSIONAL LEAGUE for 13 years, fucktard.
you said your gay league been for only 13 years, but you won bronze in the 30´s, i dont understand your homosexual logic. after the 30´s you guys never played soccer again? and could pele and beckenbauer played in mls durring the 70´s if you guys dont have a league?
in the 30's we didn't have a professional league at all. we gathered a team together from semi-pro and amateur clubs in america. and just happened to win Bronze. same as we did in 1950 world cup win, we beat england in Brazil with only amateur and semi-pro players. yes we had a professional league in the 70's but it only lasted a few years. then it was gone. but we have had a professional league that is STILL running for only 13 years, known as MLS. anything else?
...this guy is a legend...he has this thing called a world cup...and he'll utterly defecate on you with a soccer ball...in terms he's better then you in all aspects!!!
yea obviously the mls isn't la lige, serie a, or the premiership sidstam. I don't think anyone ever said it was. The problem isn't with the league the problem is with the player who underestimates the defenders of this league and thinks it will be a walk in the park and look how that turned out for them. The mls is 13 years old, the la liga is what 100 somthing. They can't be compared, but one thing is for sure the mls is progressing faster than any other league.
wtf are you talking about? they did include him in their team, he did terrible, so they cut him. He came to the league to showboat, but he underrated the defenders and was put on the bench. One of the biggest busts in league history. "Dallas Fc" is stupid for signing these overaged, over the hill, big ego types.
That's a fair point, but the empty stadium was just symbolic of a player whose popularity has nose-dived, and the US comment symbolic of a playing career in decline...a la Beckham; I'm sure US fans are proud of their league, but it really doesn't compare to the Spanish La Liga where both Denilson and Beckham plied their trade.
This guy could easily sub any current mid-fielder in the Brazilian national team. He may be not at his prime, but he is a top of the line player. Dallas is lucky to have signed this player. Hopefully the coach knows how to use him.
Most Americans who watch any sport look for goals, hard tackles/hits, and nothing else. They don't really appreciate the other skills required to enrich the sport, whatever it may be.
Im used to watching Ronaldinho on youtube so much, that when i see another player dribble i expect to see crazy tricks. lol. Denilson Was a great Player tho, always liked him. Robinho's style is similar to his.
the original skill master, along with ronaldo(when he was at his peak in barcelona). Also the multiple stepover originator. Never before the world cup '98 u saw a player doing 6 stepovers at a high level stage. I don't think robinho and cristiano ronaldo would be as tricky today, if it wasn't for denilson. Yes, he could've been so much better of a player, if he wasn't so selfish. Anyway, great addition to MLS. Can't wait to see some people get done dirty by him.
I didnt know he is playing for Dallas. I think is the most nderated players he will make the MLS bigger plus his had better skills and flavoe than Beckham. Now if they can bring ronaldihno and robinhson
you got to be fucking joking, robinhson? you american twats cant even say the name right ROBINHO you twat...and they will come to america when theyre both 45
he is brasilian haha, if u take the selfish out of him he wouldnt of been the showboat king he was when he was on form.....be nice to se him playing again...beckham hasnt got shit on denilson, easily best player in the us league now!!! no1 comes close
man FC DALLAS are prolly gonna go all the way to the MLS CUP and maybe win it wit this addition..props to Dallas, tehy gonna be fun to watch b4 the season ends + Playoffs..man..Galaxy fan here since 1996..but props to DALLAS
