  • I know your site is geared more towards 18 and under. Can I use these tips, techniques, and drilling for a guy like me in college (that's Age 20+)? I've always wanted to play but you know parents. Now I'm finally playing soccer but it's more like warming up, stretching, then picking positions and play. I assume that their is not much instruction because the coaches leave that for their actual soccer teams not the amateurs.

  • @Thereisalwaysmore Of course you can! Soccer is still soccer wether you are 15 and playing or in your 20's. There are a lot of players in their 30's and 40's of that watch these videos and are members of the Online Soccer Academy! Enjoy them! Have fun improving!

  • DCU ALL THE WAY!

  • Hiya,

You say to jockey to put them on their weaker foot, but if they are left footed and are playing right midfield, what should one do then?

  • @SkilliciousDesigns good question. It all depends on the situation. Usually in this situation you would want to force them outside which would be on their right foot, which happens to be their weaker foot.

  • Is there any tip you can give me for chesting the ball? I've been able to do the basic movement, but I don't know if I'm performing the correct technique. Can you clarify what the technique is supposed to be or do you have a video for that?

  • @chileno248 watch my Online Soccer Academy training video titled "How to Chest a Soccer Ball" and that will help you a lot!

  • That's a very good video thanks!! xD

  • @ACherriePie52 thanks! glad you like it!

  • quick question when u jocky does it always have to be say with ure strong foot say like the right leg first or could it diiffer depending on where you are defending ? or where you are in the field like say im a right defense and i want to close him in so i put my left leg out or right leg first to jocky and force him towards the corner ? thanx

  • @PoPeYe520 it doesn't always have to be with your strong foot. It all depends on the situation. You should be able to lead with both feet.

  • i love your video keep it up !

  • @metacrew3 thanks! I will keep it up! New videos come out Mondays and Wednesdays so be on the lookout!

  • This is a really good video

  • @Thewarrior26 thanks! Glad you liked it! Jed's a great guy!

  • i hate my self when defender doing this

  • this vid is great, learned alot. i'm an attacker but i like to defend in my area especially when the defender takes the ball away makes me soooo angry, i always try to win it back

  • So do you have any kind of advice on stopping the attacker from making a pass forward and also preventing him from getting passed me? Cuz so far I can defend against anyone in a 1v1 situation until he passes it forward which I can't block cuz I'm smaller than the attacker...

  • @fznutmeg83 sorry for the delay in response. Tough question. First I would say is your are not going to win every tackle and block every pass so learn to not worry about that to much. You of course want to try to win every every tackle and believe that you can but you won't win every one. Body positioning is important. Try to block the direction the attacker is trying to pass too. Also when you see they put their head down to make the pass, then take step and block their passing lane.

  • @OnlineSoccerAcademy thanks for the tip!!

  • so you know how to take a guy one on one in defending but what about when your attacking what do you do catch your guy without getting caught cus that made think if ill ever do a stepover

  • @zmojofoot76 no matter what move you do make sure you change pace! That will help you tremendously escape a defender!

  • when in doubt kick it out.....

  • @nikthegreek1000 Good point!

  • Any advice for two attackers vs one defender

    How to jocky correctly

And also just any advice for a right outside defender

  • @Evilstone222 thanks for comment. My advice would be just do your best to turn a 2v1 into a 1v1 situation. So force the player with the ball to go in the direction away from the other player, keeping your body between the player with the ball and you.

Advice for outside right defender - play simple in the back. Don't lose the ball and really focus on making good passes into the midfield and forwards. Be consistent. Then when you get the chance to overlap in the final third, do it and

  • @Evilstone222 and whip in an early cross. Be creative going forward, simple in the back. I use to play rt. back in college and loved it!
