  • Most beautiful love scene in film history!

  • Geminee Christmas!! I'll take him!

  • umm i dont think i would want to eat that grain..its kinda nasty

  • Better eat grain than eat shif or something more worse......

  • trust modern america to put the sex scene into the scarlet letter XD and if it's demi moore, you know what's coming next....oh silly america.

  • OMG...you just don't want this scene to end....the rapture on their faces....wow...

  • I love the end of this scene. The sheer vulnerability that he shows and the total acceptance on her part are just an amazing thing to see.

  • BAAH there Making PEArl!!!

  • Oh! Gary Oldman has the most gorgeous eyes I've ever seen =o)

  • i love this scene...it´s my favourite love scene, it is so strong and beautiful i can almost feel like im in her place :)

  • making love in the grain; does it get any better

  • shouldn't her leg be hairy?

  • since when has Hollywood ever been accurate with the truth about history? LOL

  • good point

  • Even in the epoch of the film, the woman have methods to be beauty.....

  • It should. Her hands should also look like she's done a day's work in her life, if you know what I mean. And technically,t hey should noth look to be in good need of a bath. But Hollywood being the highly visual industry that it is probably felt it was okay to take artistic license. lol

  • aaaaahhhhhhhhhhh! que hermoso tema central de John Barry

  • Beautiful scene. I don't think that they had earpiercing in those times though....Blooper! :)

  • theyve had ear piercing for thousands of years :)

  • That the most beautiful love making I have ever seen in a movie. Thank you for posting!

  • If only my school saw this video, we wouldn't have to read the novel, even though the novel had nothing very sexual in it like this....

  • Boy the book would have been SOOO much more interesting if it had. Well...maybe not. If it still dragged after the initial hotness then forget it. ;D

  • ya scarlet letter sux, lets all just get back on facebook. there is so much more to life than reading

  • I hope you're being sarcastic.

  • Can u put up whole film?

  • one of my fav movies :)

  • beautiful

  • I have never seen this movie but can't help thinking Demi wasn't quite the right woman cast for Gary Oldman. I love Demi's films but this just didn't look right. I had better rent the DVD and see

  • My teacher in high school rented this movie for us to watch after reading the book.

thing was, the only time HE'D ever seen it was when he was in high school.

what he didn't know what that he'd seen the edited for school version. Which was not the version he'd rented for us.

Yeeaaaahhh, that was awkward. He almost got fired, lol.

  • hahahahaha... I had the same situation at school but with a different novel, and the teacher first saw it with us (the whole class) at the lab. and kept standing in front of the screen when a love scene comes.. It was so awkward and funny.

  • this movie was beautiful. though I must say it differs from the book. But Hester Prynne was quite the strong woman. I love her character as well as Elizabeth Bennett from Pride & Prejudice.

love the melody composed for this piece. so romantic

  • Gary Oldman has really beautiful hands.

  • i was just thinkin that!

  • they look so soft and very esthetic...

  • I know! At one point, I wasn't sure which were his hands and which were Demi's.

  • one thing i did not get in this sex scene in the movie was why they kept changing to Mituba in the bathtub... i really did not understand the significance in that lol i just wanted to see the sex scene the entire time!

  • Sirius Black!.............. lol

  • God that was so hot. Thanks for taking out the unnecceaassy non-hot parts! :)

  • I loved this movie and Gary was wonderful..

  • You know, I really enjoyed this movie...but if memory serves correct, there were a bunch of big blockbusters out at the same time. Nonetheless, what a great movie...sexy....

  • I Love this movie so much & this scene rocked!! Great chemistry between Gary & Demi!

This movie should have been the BOMB at the box office..should have been number one!!!

  • is ds da story from the novel?

  • It's a Hollywood version of the novel. In the book, Arthur Dimmesdale was a weak, deceitful and kind of creepy guy....personally, even though this movie totally strays from the novel, I like this version better. (Gary's hot, so hey, I'm biased....heh heh) :)

  • that is one slow love making scene.

  • I find Gary Oldman so sexy.

  • I saw the red bird and black woman scene in the bath as a textual conceptual contrast to the love scene, their love making the more mystical and oh so romantic.

  • I wish this included all the scenes of the black woman, the red bird, the bath along with the barn scene. From a woman's perspective together they created a beautiful sensually-romantic collage.

  • Actually it was the whole point of the re-edit... cutting the mas*** woman and the bird out because everyone thinks it's lame and annoying in the original scene.

  • @Siriusiana I didn't mind it...

  • @Siriusiana, I don't understand the girl masturbating with a candle. how can you jerk off with a candle?

  • @IAmIsNigh i dont get the girl and the bird what was that all about

  • I had forgotten how beautiful and romantic the music is to this scene. Deeply moving.

  • is the movie like book?? or is it waay differentt??

  • It's way different.

  • @tresveryjolie So different in fact that the film may as well have been entitled " The Puritan Lovers" or some such. The film is essentially the cinematic equivalent of a bodice ripper- the book is a pretty grim exploration of morality.

  • does ne one know where i can see the full movie???

  • U-hu...I need a cold shower now...Demi's face is a little forced but great scene!

  • film e musiche da togliere il respiro...

  • beibi552 said it all.

  • take me gary!!!

  • Thank you so much for editing out that freaky black lady >_>

  • hi.... could you download the whole movie here in youtube?

  • I just love this music; it is so perfect for this romantic scene!!!

  • You know, there was a rejected score to this movie by Elmer Bernstein, now available on "Elmer Bernstein: The Rejected Scores" along with "Journey of Natty Gann" and "Gangs of New York".

  • thxx gary is my favourite actor, the scene is so real... wow, Quiero ser Demi!!! I wanna be Demi!!

  • God, Gary looks so hot in this and seeing him look at her neck reminded me of Dracula, lol!

  • Yeah, me too. I kinda have the same feeling when he looks at demi´s neck...

  • Speaking of which, in the Fred Saberhagen movie novelization for "Bram Stoker's Dracula", Mina and Vlad'tenderly, humanly, quietly' [made] love. Had the film used the movie tie-in's version of that scene, it might had looked something like this *sigh*.

  • Beautiful video! Thanks! Gratulálok, klassz lett! :)

  • Thanks very much! Köszi! ;-))
