@weskoki ...I agree...The gibson will always be my fave. What do you think of his new Sadowsky, that he should have been playing at the Jazz Standard? I left you a message there.
@weskoki ...I heard Russell play back in 2009 with Dianne Reeves and Romero Lubambo, and it was not a good sound venue, so could not give an objective opinion about his new Sadowsky. he has since changed to the Sadowsky LS-17. Russell came back in 2010 to the Seattle area to play with Ron Carter and Mulgrew Miller at Jazz Alley, with his Gibson L-5, which I was very happy to see. I was there for three out of the four nights, and the first night was a bad sound with loud buzzing happening.
He's kinda like the new Grant green.
