  • R.I.P right headphone.

  • good video

  • i wondering if you could explain the radiation implosion channels in hydrogen bombs, and how the polystyrene foam creates enough force to implode the thermonuclear fuel?

  • Wow, fantastic video, made me understand things much better! Thanks!

  • Hey there are Atomic Bombs, what about Molecular Bombs, like the ones Hitler had built and they are apparently Eco-friendly (no fall out) so when our Authority's blow us up they do it Greenly :)

  • Great vid friend =-)

funny thing about einstein's equation e=mc2 , when you say it backward its "to see me " 2 C me .. =-)

  • @oicub2 but what about the equal sign?

  • @ASKaPHYSICIST its just an illusion , albeit a very persistent one =-)

  • HI from AZ: Therefore you are a mass ive (1) and your 'light' = 90 trillion.

  • @variezn34gm what?

  • @ASKaPHYSICIST If you were the concept of GENESIS 1.1 and GENESIS 6.5, and required to comply with with the concept of GENESIS 6.7 beginning on 9.11.2011 in accordance with REVELATION 20.12, what is the answer to to the false science of the NWO group that are the terrorists best described in the concept of GENESIS 4.9-11.. . and have the ability to destroy all life on this planet ..

  • Great video, but i have to ask. How does this reaction play into nuclear reactors? i remember being told that the process was different from nuclear explosives, but it would seem that modern reactors are beginning to turn to nuclear fusion rather than fission. Isn't it the same highly explosive process?

  • @r0b0tj0n3s The processes are the same, but the methods of inducing them are different. They are more controlled than in the bombs. And you're right, current generators make use of nuclear Fission, splitting apart uranium nuclei, but we are working on getting fusion to work (have a look into 'magnetic confinement fusion' or 'inertial confinement fusion' if you're interested.

  • is this Minecraft TNT?^^

  • Why is your voice only coming through one speaker? Are you having mic trouble or do you just not have a quality mic?

  • @unoffended hmm, i think this might be what happens when you export a video that has mono sound with stereo sound. I think I might have to reupload this.

  • i love your vids! im only 14 years old and i want to become a physicist and learn aboute the univers.

  • @Positron426 Then you are already smarter than I was at that age :)

  • for people wearing head or ear phones, your voice is only coming thru one side which can be very annoying. the sound effects seem to be coming thru both sides though.

  • Glad to see another awsome vid Jan, keep up the good work.

  • @rohontsiawaks thanks man, will do.

  • Great video, keep them coming!

  • I was told iron is the end of the fusion process within a star, even the biggest stars can't go on fusing anything after iron and will go super nova... now i understand why =) thanks a bunch

  • ...finally someone made it easy for me to understand what goes on at the atomic level. Thanks Jan.Usually physics teachers don't bother to make their lessons appealing to students. It's really sad that physics, which i think is incredibly fascinating and represents the only way to understand our Universe is made boring in schools. Why are we seeing Jersey Shore on TV and not more documentaries?....sigh....

  • @RafaelloCraiova Well, I'd imagine it's a matter of accessibility. I'm sure even the most passionate Jersey shore fans would spare some time to learn about the universe if the information was presented to them in a medium they feel comfortable with. I really do dream of an Utopian future where the science documentary business becomes so lucrative that it replaces modern pop culture. Far away, i know, but we gotta start somewhere.

  • @ASKaPHYSICIST we share the same dream! I wish there was a way to educate ignorant people ...especially in backward countries like mine....if you saw the tv shows they air here...you wouldn't believe it.We encourage stupid people and we put down intelligent people and men of character.Unfortunately, masses are better for their "fat cat" leaders that way:stupid, ignorant and corruptible. This has to end!

  • @RafaelloCraiova Well, I guess in such circumstances it's even more important that the people intelligent enough to make a positive contribution work together to make a change.

  • Very informative video. Looking forward to part 2. @helltrackrider hate America all you want but Einstein happened to be a German scientist.

  • @clayto1332

That's just a scapegoat. Saying he was German, trying to pass blame elsewhere. The project was still funded by the US government. Nice Try. But @helltrackrider didn't even mention Einstein.

  • @MulderS00 You are right but Einstein is the person who created the first nuclear bomb. And yes he was German....

  • @clayto1332 incorrect again. I suggest you read up on the Manhattan project and Trinity test. Einsteins role in building the bomb was minimal to none. His work is only mentioned in this video due to his mass/energy equation.

Where he is from has no relevance as to where the first nuclear weapon was built, he wasn't involved, US Schools seem to teach this as there way of saying "we'll it wasn't inventing by an american" trying to absolve all blame for that thousands of deaths it caused.

  • @MulderS00 Yeah you are right. I was mis-informed. How embarrassing... Just keep in mind that I didn't learn that in school, my reference was a history channel special I had watched over the A bomb a few years ago. Regardless, there are several other countries that killed several thousand people while NOT at war. To the defense of the US, the Japanese attacked them first. Since then the A bomb has not been used by the US . Anyway this is off topic and there's no reason for a big discussion

  • Great to see these videos back. I often wondered how these bomb worked and these are great videos at teaching us. Thank you. Looking forward to part 2.

  • Great Video, the volume of the special effects are a bit loud in places.

  • @MrMightyThumbs thanks for pointing it out. I'll try to keep it balanced next time.

  • oh hell yes. forgot i was subbed to this channel

  • @Fable2Pl8r lol, glad you're still here.

  • @Fable2Pl8r lol, glad you're still here.

  • Yes, the potential engergy of two particles decreases when the distance between them increase. But how about the distance between two charged protons or electrons since the potential engergy for two electrons is V=-e^2/r

  • @Pentazoid111 Sorry, you're not quite getting it right. Let me clarify, when you move apart particles that Attract each other the potential energy Increases. When you move apart particles that Repel each other, the potential energy Decreases. Now, protons both attract and repel each other due to the strong and teh EM force respectively. However, at small scales the strong force takes over. However, the strong force can't act over greater distances and there the EM force takes over.

  • Ask +100,000 dead Japanese how they have impacted History...Thanks American Government; once again - you fuck shit up and indoctrinate kids to believing that evil is Good...similar to Religion.

    Everyone; think for yourself.

    BTW - Great video.

  • @helltrackrider Glad you like the video and thanks for your sharing your views.

  • @helltrackrider

why don't you ask the millions of Chinese civilians the japs torture/ murdered if they think the bomb was justified to bring an imminent end to Japanese occupation. or do Chinese lives not concern you? why don't you think about that first before you tell people to think for themselves

  • @ccaptorchen

The "Japs" tortured/murdered?...You mean, the "Jap Government"?

Thank for supporting my entire argument; Think for yourself...Government is not necessary.

Peoples lives concern me - where they are from is irrelevant; we are all people...Governments pit people against each other as a means of justifying its necessity.

  • @helltrackrider way off topic. you going on a evil US gov rant I was still about the Atomic bomb. not everything is black and white. put yourself in Truman's shoes, would you not use it to end the war? you rather prolong it for a few more month in which up to a million lives is estimated to be lost? I am not going to debate the necessity of government with you. but if you think having no government will result in sunshine and rainbows you are way too naive.
