@83BarFly this goal is so good because of the technique, the goal keeper was in the right place n the only reason y i can see he was allowed to shoot was cos yhe defenders were not expecting a shot from that range. and besides a freekick shoild b on target from there but this is fron open play, with only seconds to take aim
I still remember these matches like they were yesterday, i am a huge Man Utd fan. Can someone please tell me where can i find these games online, i want to download them pls pls
i have watched 1000's of hours of football and this has to be the best strike at goal i have ever seen bar none! and if i remember this moment correctly it was in the champions league 01/02 season when an english team had yet to win on spanish soil and man u won 2-0 with van nistelrooy scoring the other late on
Surely the Seedorf strike for Real Madrid was better than this. It was from slightly further away, and it was a riffled shot, hit it with his laces and the damn thing looked like it was still rising! This is Beckham's usual distance, he was given the space he would be given with a freekick, you would expect him to atleast hit the target. Not taking anything away from it, it was an amazing strike, I just think the Seedorf strike is better.
@83BarFly yeah but beckhams technique and accuracy was more immense than seedorfs goal, i know what you're talking about it was a stunner, but you can't get much more accurate than this, i'd give them a draw.
@nigglattokids95 I'm not so sure. Fair point for bringing technique into it. But to hit it as hard a Seadorf did, and from as far away, if there was no technique then it would have ended up in the stadium carpark! Power is nothing without technique. Asside from numerous volleys, Seadorf's shot is the best striker from distance in my opinion.
When it comes to outside the box (volleys included) it would have to be either of of many Scholes & Zidane volleys from corners or Rooney vs Newcastle.
