Airbus was forced to launch a costly redesign of the A350 last year after airlines scorned its earlier model. Airbus has only 13 firm orders compared with 584 orders for Boeing's fast-selling Dreamliner 787, due to be shipped to its first customer next May.

ok, boeing 787 has been the best sold airplane before production. That's true and it's a fact. But A350 was launched last year and orders take their time. Anyway, Boeing is not only the 787. If you realise, i was talking about all the orders of the whole companies at this time for the 2007, and airbus is winning until now. By the way, A350 doesn't have just 13 orders, it has 173 orders after paris air show.

What about the faulty cargo door locking system on the United 747-100 when it was ripped off causing cabin decompression and killing 9 passengers and cabin attendants. Probably the worse case of a design flaw causing death in avaiation history.

One of the passengers who died was a New Zealander (that's where I am from). His seat was ripped from the aircraft where he either fell to his death to the sea, a four minute drop or he fell into the engine. Investigators found the engine was clogged with human remains.

around 500. But don't forget the A350XWB launch was 2 years after the 787 launch. Actually, the 500 order Airbus has gotten until now, are more than boeing got for the 787 at the same point. I mean, 5 years before entry into service. By the way, have boeing been able to get the 787 in the air? Who's winning the orders race this year? Who's winning the deliveries race this year? Who has the most efficient airliner today flying in the skies?. I wait your answers without being offensive.
