Yes it is kind of strange. The vid is funny in a big way but the politics come up because Soviet and Nazi propaganda style images are used in the video. Used to great effect, I might add.

Klingons could not produce the fighting power they supposedly have, unless they also valued the reason, peace and productivity that could create that power. In so doing, their entire culture would have to utterly reject warlike conquest.
Of Course, without the Klingons, as envision by the philosophically defunct scriptwriters, there would be half as many Star Trek episodes.

I think you're being a bit overly sensitive. It is highly unlikely that this was a veiled attempt to cast aspersions upon the character of the Turkish people, and more likely a case of using what resources one has available.

I may view it simply as a choice and a lack of knowing what the song was about, but there are some points i can't put up with.
1. Those domed buildings give the impression of a Muslim(!) architecture (which is false, it looks Indian, who are Hindu, not Muslims).
2. Those swordfighting pricks look like stereotypical Turks.
3. Knife licking guy looks like Chinese/(or maybe Asian Turks).
These are very crude stereotypes, and the Poster's silence indicates he's aware of what he is doing.

Thanks for the decent reply.. We Turks are targets of heavy defamation campaign by imperialists, and i encounter a lot of that online. That's why i find it even harder to believe all those "coincidences".
I hope you are right, though. After all, "Mummy 2" ending credits also have a Turkish lyric, possibly out of mere idiocy. Same may also apply here, but i'd like to hear from the Author of this video.

What happened with the Armenians is that they were exiled after betraying their fellow Ottomans, and extreme caution was taken to prevent them from suffering even monetary losses. All these are well recorded on Ottoman, Russian, and British archives. Turkey has always been eager to found an international commitee of historians, researchers and anyone else who wants to participate, but Armenians (tricked by emperialists) avoid that and try to keep it political.

Ottoman Empire never tried ethnic cleansing or even assimilation of conquered countries. People were allowed to practice their own religions and keep their traditions. The Empire would not be able to expand so much so fast, without justice and equality of everyone against the law.
Armenians were not sent into desert, people had actually been living in those areas (towns and villages). Ottoman Government did their best for the well being of Armenians. All their losses of property was compensated.

Uhm...The "Knife Guy" was a characature of John Colicos who played "Kor" a Kilngon general on the show,...he was Greek Canadian..and its a damn good drawing of him..if you watch the episode;
"Errand Of Mercy" you will see what a good job the animator did.
They also claimed the made the Klingons darker in order to get a better makeup effect. fyi...dont read so much into it.

Yes it is kind of strange. The vid is funny in a big way but the politics come up because Soviet and Nazi propaganda style images are used in the video. Used to great effect, I might add.

It's true that Soviet Communism and German Nazism had a number of things in common but the differences were very great.
The 23 Point Program that Hitler was elected on read like a communist manifesto. Living standards and work conditions greatly improved for German workers but the Nazis were great defenders of private property and the profit motive.
The brown shirts believed the socialist parts of the 23 point program and were destroyed for the sake of the army and the industrialists.
