Over 44,000 ppl die EACH YEAR from no or lack of health insurance.
That is 1/4 of the ppl died on Sept 11 and the Republicans are willing to go into a hundreds of billion of dollars WAR to prevent any other attack from happening.
Explain to me why we cannot invest this amount to solve our health care crisis
We are ignoring lessons learned. Insurance is the problem, not the solution. Notice no one demonizes the medical professionals who charge $800 per suture.
The sense of entitlement in this country astounds me. Maybe it was the way I raised?
No one should Demonize Healthcare professionals. The reason why they charge so much is because everytime they turn around, a lawyer is trying to sue them over something they did or did not do. Do you actually know what malpractice insurance is for a MD? It's more than you probably make in a year. That's because everytime you turn on the TV you are looking at lawyer commercials asking you if you were prescribed certain medications.
Ya know, if I were a Senator, I wouldn't even bother reading the 1st page of a 2000 page bill. They just made you read a 1500 page bill that didn't fly, and a 1000 page one that didn't fly either ... I'd just wait for the 90,000 page bill that should come in the next couple of weeks after this one fails
I wrote all my elected officials asking them to vote no. I let them know, they lose my vote if they support it so I only hope that enough people make a last ditch effort to do the same. This trainwreck of bill needs to be stopped before the left forces it down our throat. THE BIGGEST spending bill in US History and a strictly partisan bill. So much for CHANGE eh Obama?
13 new taxes in the house bill. Cost over 1 TRILLION dollars. They are going to cut 500 billion in fraud and abuse to pay for it? Right! they have been saying that sense the 70s. This is just a power grab and will cost American people dearly. 26 million still won't be covered. Does this make any sense at all? Taxes will go up now but the plan won't go in effect til 2013? After the next big election. Call and right your reps and tell them vote noe on this massive spending government power grab.
Both parties are owned by the Insurance Companies.why would you single out 2? here's the top 10 McCain, John (R) McConnell, Mitch (R) Baucus, Max (D) Specter, Arlen (D) Dodd, Chris (D) Udall, Mark (D) Landrieu, Mary L (D) Roberts, Pat (R) Warner, Mark (D) Meek, Kendrick B (D) Full list & rank can be found at opensecretsorg
John Boehner, the head Republican dummy led his band of Republican dummies to fight for the rich thieves that he serves so passionately. Head Republican dummy Boehner and his Republican dummy posse, once again rise to deny health care to millions of American. Boehner the lead insurer synchophant knows that killing uninsured Americans is no big deal. Look how long Boehner and his goons have beeen doing it. Check their bank accounts to see how much money they've received from the insurers.
Why are you still dwelling on Republicans? any dummy knows they couldn't stop this even if they all vote "No". if it fails to Pass it's because of your own dummy party & any repercussions of passing a Health care bill during a depression falls on your party also.
You're right! I can barely speak or write in English, I was born in a "red state" where an education outside of having the good ole' bible doesn't count for much.
As an Independent, I am desperately hoping for some sort of solution to the Healthcare Crisis. I'm not sure if this is the best way, but right now our healthcare system is most similar to those of Less Developed Countries. That's not effiecient at all, and millions of us don't have adequate or affordable health insurance, if at all. I hope they release the proposed legislation soon, because maybe a solution can be found in all this...
Difficult to comprehend that a country with record deficits and rising unemployment, which essentially means less in taxpayer contributions, could afford to fund such a costly option, not to mention ALL Americans...It would be much wiser to end the wars abroad bringing the troops home and direct those monetary resources to this health care idea...I would be curious to see a somewhat simplified balance sheet of how this cost is worked into the rest of our debt.
I don't understand. If they are reforming healthcare, why would they cut on medicare? However, this report just got through saying that pelosi didn't provide a copy of the bill so covering 96% could be a lie, just as cutting medicare could be a lie. for me, I NEED TO SEE IT IN WRITING.
My guess, if they pass any health care bill they will absorb Medicaid & medicare into it, since our social programs are failing they want to hide their screw ups.
Excercise your independence fellow Americans! Practice natural healing techniques, practice homemade remedies, eat organic local farm raised foods/vegetables!
Lots of excercise (walking/jogging), yoga, meditation, and drink plenty of bottled natural spring water, not tap!
Healthcare in this country is about to turn into a nightmare. Become truly independent like the four fathers intended, and you'll do just fine!!
Ahh yes, its thy idiot who comments on thy grammer. Im not hating on you though, because i know your an "english teacher."
Looks like you went to a really bad public school, if you are unfamiliar with the declaration of independence.
Your just a BIG baby who loves being taken care of, by BIG government. Im not hating on you though, because 90% of Americans are gullible, just like you.
If i hated 90% of you Americans for being "gullible," i would have become a terrorist or suicide bomber.
More propaganda from the Associated Piss.

This bill is signing the death warrant for millions of senior citizens. Its like what Hitler did to the Jews only in stealth mode.
combat1856 2 years ago
Joseph Stalin would smile at this effort by the Demo-Socialists. It takes a village to provide health care--a Potemkin Village.

96% why not 100%? since when reps care about senior benefits?

a 2,000 page bill is not environmentally friendly.
talk about wanting nobody to read it. This bill looks like a fucking mess just by the size of it.
TheLiberalssuckdick 2 years ago
i'd expect a big bill for that much money to be accounted for and perhaps its pages tell you something about the comprehensive nature of it.
why be so negative unless you've already made up your mind?
daderone 2 years ago
yeah, it's going to be very efficient with all the crap in it.
Very efficient.
Let me check if your covered, I'll just have to go through this 2000 page bill. Give me a month or so.

Thank reagan for these ridiculously long bills.

again liberals are so fucking stupid. I can prove them wrong in a fucking second.
So, try again. BITCH.

Extensively long bills began under reagan, once again without fail, thanks for showing a concerning level of illiteracy.
