Madusa's worst beating were not by Bull or Sherri Martel (too bad those two never hooked it up in a match) but by Aja Kong who almost ended her career with some brutal-let's call them MMA matches in Japan.
@HCL808 Debra Miceli is a very intelligent and tough woman wrestler-she learned Japanese and learned how to become a top Monster Truck driver. Her problem was (usually) not with her looks or her drive or ability but her attitude. She and Bull should be the next two women inducted into WWE HOF-not Lita (who I really like) and Trish Stratus (makes Hulk Hogan look underrated)
I have to say, I never saw Madusa carry herself any better as a champion-she even convinced me she was a babyface. Debra was correct, both she and Bull could be "evil".
Try Dr. Mike Lano--he knew Madusa very well, reported on her, photographed her I believe both in US and in Japan. He is called Dr. as he was a dentist in an earlier life but has been deeply involved in wrestling journalism for decades.
You can say that I referred you to him; he can more than speak for himself but I am sure he will tell you, Madusa respected the Japanese women wrestlers like Nakano, Akira, Kyoko, Aja, Manami a lot; as you know she had almost no experience with
@paul34391 I doubt if you will find one notable wrestling writer who actually dealt with "Malunda Blayze" Imnorock calls her who will not corroborate that: you saying Madusa's attitude was no different than any other women in wrestling is your pure fantasy and has nothing to do with history. Three of my favorite women wrestlers are Reggie Bennett, Bull Nakano, and Lita--all of them had flaws which cost each of them dearly. Maybe you should allow "Debbie" to have hers.
@paul34391 The fact of the matter that at least three of Madusa's notable opponents, Sherri Martel, Luna, and the late Rhonda Singh all stated basically the same thing: she had ego problems--Luna and Rhonda went further than Sherri did by adding that they did not trust her and that she was a backstage politician. Those interviews are on the public record whether you like it or not.
I have been accused of being an anti-Madusa internet troll; well, put that aside for the moment. When I watch this video, the shame of it is that Madusa could have been a really inspirational women wrestler if she did not have such an attitude most of the time--she comes across very classy here.
She seemed to have an attitude all the time. I remember a match with Wendi Richter back on Dec 1987 in AWA where she sort of refused to drop the belt to her. I don't know any detail or more info, but someone told me about this. Bull Nakano hated how Vince in WWF/E treated her, so I don't blame her for having sort of ill-will, but soon will bury the hatchet hopefully, possibly not.
I am proud to say I have been in touch with Ms. Nakano--really, no BS--she is a very nice woman and I am trying to develop a documentary about her life and career. The WWE story is very deep and controversial, and also sad for Bull and women's pro wrestling--just to be clear: this is my analysis as I have not yet interviewed her but I am working on it.
And yes, she looks like a Diva now--although I always thought of her and Wendi as Divas.
@RPenta Well, I seen how she looks now. She did lose quite a few pounds. She is a great wrestler. And I heard she is in golf. I am glad she is doing well.
Very interestingly, I believe Bull won the first singles match she had with Madusa in May, 1994 in Japan (WWF) and also her last on WCW TV in August, 1996. Somehow, that seems fitting to me.
I agree; I wish I could find so I could credit a fan who had the best Bull Nakano comment I ever read concerning her appearance: Bull Nakano is a very pretty girl; undead looking maybe, but very pretty.
Lola Gonzalez was a great if rather unknown in US lucha star for many years; she both wrestled with Bull in the 80's as a tag team partner and wrestled against her; she and Bull were finalists in a Battle Royal for the CMLL women's title which Bull won in 1992; in Sept. 1997 Lola invited Bull back to Mexico to wrestle her in Lola's grand retirement match; and yes Lola was better than Madusa. Arriba!
shonshu2 there is one more thing that you don't know. that is that LOLA GONZALEZ is beter than madusa and bull nakano. shonshu2, hay una cosa que tu no sabes, y es que la mexicana LOLA GONZALEZ es mejor que madusa y que bull nakano.
you got that all so wrong... bull nakano is better than lola gonzalez and alundra blayze or madusa or whatever you call her. i don't care what you think of bull, because bull is a tougher chick than alundra blayze. sorry to say, but its true... so true.
I love Bull as you know but Lola was great and a very classy person. Madusa was a great wrestler although both Bull and Lola were better in the ring. As I and others have said, "Malundra Blayzceli" often had a "bad attitude". I am sure Bull felt grateful to her for bringing her back to WWF after being away almost 10 years. I do not think Bull liked the way she was treated by WWE whether as challenger or especially champion. Ah if only we saw Bull vs. Lola in WWE!
alundra blayze is so hot and sexy

Alundra/Madusa/Debra Miceli could be "evil" but she kinda overdoes herself in the interviews to get over as a heel. But she is one beautiful woman!
