Excellent job. Grohl is really tough to cover on drums when he's working with QotSA. You were handling the tricky bridge parts quite well. Keep it rocking!
Well done, man. I play acoustic, so the electric kits are a mystery to me. What editing software do you use to dub in the track over your recording? And what do you use to record your video?
Kick ass! But shouldn't you be shirtless and covered with tattoos? LOL, JK! Looks weird seeing someone so clean-cut doing such an awesome job on the skins! Makes me wanna buy a set and get back into it.
bro that is aamazing cover ive ben playing 4 about 8 months now im really just learning and i gota tell u i watch this video like twice a day im just really tryn to watch da amazing rolls that u do.u really did a awsome job on it man how long u ben playin 4 and do u have any tips 4 me?or songs to practice plzzz let me no i need as much help as i can get.god bless u
thanks for the comment. I've been playing for about 10 years now, so I feel like i should be better than I am! the best "advice" i could give is pretty boring and probably not what you want to hear to be honest...rudiments and playing to a click! i wish i had started out doing that as i found i had to nearly start all over again to make real improvements. that said though, you should definately just play along to songs you like as well. mike johnston lessons on youtube are v good too
@leetalb0t LOL I have said the same thing!! I've been playing for about 13 years off and on, no lessons though. always just to the radio or cd player. I wish someone had taught me rudis and click tracks when i first started!
It's a yamah dtxplorer, but as I've said in the previous comments the sounds on the video are triggered and not the sounds from the kit's brain. They are pretty good though for the price.
hey cheers man , dont suppose u could cover songs for the dead , cause im trin to learn it atm , cant seem to nail all of it. cant find a good enough , or clear version of it . hope u can help . kaosdrummer1
Another great job man. Are the DTXplorers big over in England? Like every guy I see with one lives in England and even the tutorial has a British guy demo-ing it and talking. I'm getting one soon, and hopefully will get the addicting drums, but I'm mainly a guitar player. Anyway, 5 stars.
Hi mate. Thanks for the comment. I wouldn't say they're big, but they are the cheapest "proper" electric drum kit as far as I'm aware so I guess they're bound to be popular. They're great for the money imo. To answer your other question about them sounding good, the audio on my videos is actually from Addictive Drums in Cubase. I take the MIDI out from the Dtxplorer brain and record it in cubase while playing along to the song, then mix it down using the Addictive Drums VST instrument. Simple ;)

Great cover man, how long have you been playing? I've just started drumming myself, any tips on what songs are good for progression?

Great job man! how much did U pay for that kit?
thestormbringer1999 2 years ago
cheers bud. the kit was £500 but I think they've brought a new model out so I reckon you'll be able to get one quite a bit cheaper than that now.

Oh, alrite. Now is Addictive Drums a program you can download to the brain, or do you have to buy it, and if so, how much is it?
Thanks
