  • Watch the movie "Life as a house" It's riddled with Guster tunes and the dog in the movie is named Guster. Plus, it's an awesome movie.

  • @iCycle1217 Burdge-Bug is an artist and DeviantArt. She drew a picture of James and Lily from Harry Potter named after this song with a link to it.

  • Got the 500th like, but its such a good song. It should have at least 10 thousand, please like it.

  • who/what is burdge-bug? james and lily?

  • @iCycle1217 James and Lily Potter (Harry Potter's parents), of course! And Burdge-Bug is an artist. She draws stuff on DeviantArt.

  • This song totally relates. To everything I've ever felt. It's truly beautiful how this band can preform more than decent music with out using profound language, or have subliminal meanings in the song. To that I say bravo.

  • @wazzuppphommie yay Jamily :) Snape and lily are gross and icky! James and lily are an OTP :)

@NinjaCupcake246: love the user name lol :) burdge-bug is amazing as is her taste in music! so glad u found this via deviant art and that you ship James and Lily...they sooooo belong together :) this song is perfect fro them!

  • So I'm not the only one here from Burdge-Bug? JAMES AND LILY FTW

  • @alfiesurprise yay i'm not alone :P do you ship them too?James and lily I mean?

@bwheatley that was my feeling too when i saw that people liked my comment too and i was like...oh yeah i'm not alone lol <3

  • @airashi0604

    Oh my god, Lily/James people.

    YEY! NO SNAPE! XD

I'm no longer so alone... xD

  • @wazzuppphommie James and Lily FTW!

James is my favourite character from the books and him and Lily were just perfect. ^-^

I don't understand why quite a few people seem to like Severus more. He hated Harry and made his life as horrid as possible just because he looked like James and was good at Quidditch. I hate him with the fire of a thousand suns.

  • Satellite>Either Way

  • @eloroe disagree. satellite is amazing though

  • james and lily <3

thanks burdge-bug for helping me to discover this piece of magic.

  • Really glad that I'm not the only one to find them via deviantART members.

  • @airashi0604 YES this is how I found this song too :D

  • Will forever remind me of Kris McCobb and the summer of 2000.

  • this is one of the best songs of all time.

  • I can't believe my friend hates this song! It's so amazing

  • @livelovemusic1330 If you can't read the whole thread and comprehend it, you probably shouldn't comment. It's already been explained why she posted "appriciate" in response to another poster. Also, I'm fifteen and even I know tutelage is a word. Try cracking open a dictionary.

  • Comment removed

  • @livelovemusic1330 This is possibly the most hilarious response I've ever read. "Yeah, I'll show them how good I am at spelling by demonstrating my misunderstanding of quotes, ignorance of the word tutelage, and general lack of any kind of reading comprehension." Adorable.

  • Guster is one of the better "College Rock" bands of the 90s. That and supedrag.

    @livelovemusic1330

    tutelage

    [toot-l-ij, tyoot-]

    1. the act of guarding, protecting, or guiding; office or function of a guardian; guardianship.

    2. instruction; teaching; guidance: His knowledge of Spanish increased under private tutelage.

    3. the state of being under a guardian or a tutor.

    Origin:

1595–1605; < Latin tūtēl ( a ) guardianship (derivative of tuērī to watch; see tuition) + -age

  • @livelovemusic1330 I know I would.

  • @livelovemusic1330 who cares what's a word now and not as long as it's used properly in context to get a point across. >>> I DEFINE MY LIFE BY THE BOUNDARIES OF THE BOX THAT I LIVE IN!!! lol that's you 1330<<<

  • @livelovemusic1330 epic troll is epic

  • Please check out my interview with Ryan Miller of Guster.

Look up: Ryan Miller Of Guster Visits My SUV/Home

  • Hey can you put up Fa Fa from this album?

  • @Bassviolingirl3 @LunaWeasley44 I Love finding Potter references in random places! So, how many people we brought here by the amazing burdgebug?

  • @WolfPatronus HAHAHHAHA OMG....thats soo funny!

  • @WolfPatronus HAHAHHAHA OMG....thats soo funny, i didn't know if other people clicked it....ahhh i don't feel so alone!

  • I love this song :)

  • James and Lily. Easily.

  • @Bassviolingirl3 Yeah! And this song was sung from Snape's point of view!

  • I have never heard this song before yesterday my son actually found it with a video re prison break !! And guster is very good!!!

  • the album picture was taken by "Phillip Jones Griffiis"

  • I've only been to one Guster concert, and I went by myself. I was 6 rows back and dead center. Their powerful music made me feel like I was in a venue full of friends.

  • @cyclesurge0n Do you masturbate with a sock-puppet at night? Who goes to see a concert by themselves? Sounds kinda weird or crazy, I would avoid Arizona and congresswomen for your own sake...

  • @TheJoslinjb People from my town listen to that terrible rap bullshit. Hence, going by myself. Why don't you spend your time doing something more constructive than harassing people on youtube.

  • @TheJoslinjb What kind of person refuses to go to a concert by himself/herself? What kind of person can't stand to be alone for very long without being distracted by the presence of others whose primary function is to acknowledge and validate his/her existence?

  • God I love this song! Thumbs up if you listen to this song every day. And go ahead and give yourselves a thumbs up because if you're a Guster fan you're awesome in my book!

  • @SUPERDOOPERTUBER it doesnt matter if it sound 90s, there music is timeless and holds a message and all of there fans are gonna be listening to them for years to come.

  • Comment removed

  • @SUPERDOOPERTUBER I know. That's why they're so great!

  • I don't know what it is about their music, but every song brings me back to a memory from my past. Even when it's a song I've never even heard before. Their music gives me the feeling of a dream-like state. To say Guster is underrated is the understatement of the year. There aren't enough thumbs in the world to up these guys justice.

  • easily the most under rated band i know

  • Guster's one of the best. My first concert was Barenaked Ladies and Guster opened for them. I liked Guster more than the main event.

  • This song reminds me of my ex boyfriend, he refuse to see the good things in life. :/

  • nice song~^_^

  • The drums at the end sound unbelievably good. Like, heavy and full, like an orchestra bass drum.

Does anybody know what he uses there?

  • @wulord At the time (as in, in their earlier music), the drummer played with his hands and featured a lot of bongos.

  • @elphabasoup On this song; the dummer actually used sticks when performing it live. It may have been w/ just one hand; and it may have been a mallet as opposed to traditional drum sticks. They actually switched out one of the drums just for this song. ( I think a Djembe; but my memory is hazy ).

  • I saw these guys at the Beale St. Music Festival in Memphis Tenn ten years ago. Great show. One of my favorite music memories.

  • Any trollop that refers to Guster in anything other than respect deserves serious pain in life. I saw these guys 10+ years ago at a college in Lewiston, ME. I was hooked from day one. I watched the drummer's fingers bleed onstage during his solo. Coming from a metalhead, that's some damn fine music.

  • One of my best memories revolves around this song. Guster is amazing.

  • i hate the fact that no one in my school has ever heard of guster. to the people out there who havent GET SOME TASTE IN MUSIC it really pisses me off that no one has ever heard of the GREATEST BAND IN THE WORLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Saw them live last night. It was the first time I heard this song. Just as good live.

  • @iamreptarheremeroar me too, incredible. I love summerfest.

  • Strike's so many chords.

  • this band never fails to impress me.

  • Every time I hear this song I'm bowled over by it. No matter that I must have heard it 100 times, it's just brilliant.

  • They played this when I went to their concert, and I cried. I'm crying again.....

  • man guster did it again this just is an awsome song this and the song diane is two of the best

  • un excelente grupo, muy buenas canciones... esta una de sus mejores

  • bastant en plan monjo

  • Guster kicks ass, around 2001 my son and I left a camping vacation on cape cod and drove 600 miles to see them at the top of Vt at an off season ski thing where they were opening up for the Tragically Unhip. The Canadians boo'd them for their whole set "because they love their Hip" I told them "guess what, we're leaving now & were gonna miss the Hip, they went nuts! so I said, it's No RENTRY so if you follow us out, you won't see your Hip, see ya...... and we left

  • love this sooo much.

  • aaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhh im taken away again beautiful song

  • Probably my fav Guster song <3

  • Did anyone go to their concert on the 31st?! It was awesome! Pfft, I was ON STAGE!

  • yeah it was great,

    which one were you

  • Maaan I'd DIE if they came to town in the west, I've been obsessing over them for about a year... my favorite is Eden :)

  • Great song! =)

  • GUSTER = 2 MORE ALBUMS IN THE PROGESS :D

  • 2?!?!!?

  • I went to a guster concert ever the summer.

    it was sooo amazingg

  • We're singing this in my school's chamber choir, I adore it! I'm trying out for the lead part in the song.

  • By chance, you wouldn't be a student of Christopher Moan at Victor J. Andrew, would you?

  • Amazing.

that rise from 3:20 to 3:35 gave me goosebumps.

  • fantastic song. Thanks for posting this

  • I listen to this song on REPEAT! IT'S SO GOOD!!!! Definitely one of my more favorite ones...parachute by them is pretty good by them too.

  • amazing song :)

  • This is the best!!!! gah :)

  • this is a great song

  • easily guster's best song, the complexity of the background insturments, the shifting beat, and the two part choral arrangement add so much. I just regret that the rest of the world doesn't see it as i do. I mean honestly, would you really say that one man wrecking machine is better than this? And yet it gets better reviews

  • this song is so amazing! the harmonies are great!

  • this is my dads girlfriend and his gfs bffs song!!!!! i JUST heard it and its AWESOME!!!!!!!

  • You people who call your allegedly favorite bands sell-outs for wanting to make a living at their profession always make me laugh. Would it make you feel better if Guster donates a penny from every album sold to buy you some apostrophes, capital letters and spelling tutelage so you can better 'appriciate' them? I haven't known of them for anywhere near 11 years, but I'll buy a truckload of their CDs if they pledge it toward teaching you about homophones. They're (<-- take note) so tricky, eh? ;)

  • @khmilyn Nice :)

  • @khmilyn HaHaHa, Wow I want to thankyou not only for your view but for the way you presented it, so well written. Cheers for the belly ache, its refreshing to read articulate and intelligent posts that also state an absolute fact!

  • @khmilyn OMG!! This is awesome!! You said exactly what I was thinking, except with a lot more sarcasm and humor. Nicely done! :D

  • @khmilyn You're amazing.

  • @khmilyn Though I agree with you highly, I have to point out the fact you spell appreciate wrong.

  • @Werelinglover Um, no... *I* didn't. I was responding pointedly to someone who was trying to tell the rest of us 'newbies' that we couldn't possibly 'appriciate' Guster as well as his superior mind can. Click to see *all* comments then scroll down to mine. There's a comment right above my post that has received too many negative votes to be visible if you don't opt in to view it. You can find the birth of that word right there, and I didn't spawn it. I just couldn't let the opportunity pass. ;)

  • @khmilyn Amen!

  • Who here considers Guster sell-outs? You're right though, because they are playing larger venues, they must be sell-outs. Check out Reverb and tell me they are sell outs, they aren't doing this for the fame. They genuinely care about their fans and the music they are generating. You, on the other hand, is that guy who thinks that just because you heard them when they were more low-key that you are somehow apart of the band or something. Get off your horse. Listen to the music for what it is.

  • What a great song!!!! Absolute genius. Thanks for posting.

  • woo this is an amazing sonng where has this been all my life???? LOVE IT
