Sarah that is the name of my baby girl. It's a beautiful name even as the work Jesus is doing in your life. "He gives us beauty for ashes". I cried when I saw this. Yes, our God is Awesome.
We all experience god as an individual experience. You seem to want to give god credit for only the good stuff and not the bad stuff in your life, and yet god is the alpha and the omega; the all in all; the "I am". If you felt wrong in your body, it wasn't gods doing which changed your feeling. It was you. God has no skin in the game of which is right or wrong....because all experiences are part of the god experience.
The rest is mumbo jumbo based on a book written before the dark ages.
Jesus is the Son of God, He died a to pay the penalty we could not pay for our sin. When we surrender our lives to him we are reconciled to God though the death and shed blood of Christ. Because he had no sin, Christ innocent blood was the only acceptable payment for our sin. "God Sent Christ into the world not that he might Condemn the world, but that the world through him might be saved. -John 3:17
@QuantumQuacks -It's not "Middle Eastern Mythology"... the word of God says that the power of life and death are in the tongue. Even as a child she spoke forth that "she was a boy".. and her actions and thoughts began to line up with what was coming out of her mouth. The devil aka Satan is real and his purpose is to distract you from the will of God and take you to hell with him. He hates anything that reflects the image of God. We were created in the image of God. We must have discernment...
@ Quantum Q-contin: discernment to know who is speaking to us. The devil does speak things to us and tempt us to sin. But before we are born again we have a sinful nature because of the fall of man. The lusts of our hearts can lead us away in the wrong direction if our lives are not surrendered to God and the Holy Spirit. Only through the Holy Spirit are we enabled to live holy lives before God. While we can't fully blame our sin on the devil. He is the tempter who leads our souls astray.
@Quantum Q- not to mention the idolatry that Sarah's mother was involved in when she prayed to "Buddha" for another boy. To God this is witchcraft. She spoke a curse unknowingly on her own daughter. But God broke that curse and strong hold over her Sarah's mind and body and she has been set free!!
I'm glad you are happy where you are, but a lot of people do indeed feel trapped or confused and they don't fall into Devil worshiping or gangs as you did. Your story is one story of many so I hope people don't find this typical of all.
On the one hand, I think you're lucky to have made your peace with being female. And maybe you were just "confused" - but I have also known many people who tried to ignore their gender identity and then woke up one die and realized they were living a lie. I truly hope that doesn't happen to you. There's nothing wrong with being gay or transgender. Personally, I feel that being transgender is part of my spiritual journey and denying that would mean denying myself and my gods.
I want to challenge you to call your experience with homosexuality something else though -- Perhaps lust?
I've experienced lust, and I've experienced love. I am female-born, and the first time I've ever experienced love with another human being outside my family and friends was with my ex--and she was female-born. I've experienced lust, and that was after my ex and I had broken up. I wanted love, but I couldn't find it because I was looking for lust (and in men).
I admire your courage and struggle, however I must say I am disconcerted by this idea that Jesus could deliver you from the way you were born. It is neurological fact that many people are born into 'the wrong bodies', and there is nothing wrong with that. You do not need to feel guilty, and neither does anyone else who was born a homosexual. It is not a dirty word, and you are a brave woman to have lived the life you have. I respect that the decision must be crushingly tough, and wish you well.
God is good, but Christians mustn't forget that by our union with Christ in the Spirit we are pretty much guaranteed to face crucifixion one way or another. The essence of that is to feel abandoned by God, as He has been by us - the chief pain of hell - and yet freely still to be faithful to Him as He also has been to us: to be a voice in the bottom of the pit praising the name of God. By so doing we offer a sacrifice of praise with Christ overcoming hell: bringing his redemption to others.
Awesome! Jesus is awesome! God bless you!

So how many years did you live as a boy/man?
Did you ever actually transition from a female to a male -- Hormones and/or surgery.
I am happy that you have found piece... I am still struggling
