I would love to make youtube videos but im kinda scared no one would watch them..I feel like if I make a video or a few no one would watch them and there would just be my video out there and I would completely embarass myself..:/ I started a blog..like a beauty blog but I dont have any readers..Anyone got any advice?

this was such a helpful video. my best friend and i have started a channel and would really appriciate if anyone would check out some of our videos and maybe subscribe. The kids at school are starting to find out about my makeup channel, and they try to make fun of me, but i do my best to ignore them because I know my love of makeup and fashion and I cant let them get in the way.

I have tried to start a makeup channel but I found the hardest thing about making videos was that I was unbelievably camera shy! How do I get over being camera shy because i would really love to make videos!
I would love to make a channel because I do think it would do a lot of great things for me but I don't have enough makeup...and I feel like if I did get more it still wouldn't be enough because I don't buy it regularly enough to do hauls. i would die if i could really go to imats and see all of my fave beauty gurus like u, but i live in germany. its so much harder if u dont live in the us(or uk/canada) and become successful. i just started and i have no idea how to get to my favourite gurus, because they have thousands of subscribers. so i doesnt matter how many emails or comments i leave they never respond and even if they did, there are hundreds of people who wanna be friends with them.
I really want to start my own makeup channel, but it seems like it would be impossible to always make videos. I mean I would want to put up as many as I can, but I already have so much to do with school and everything. How do you manage your time?
@xpaigevictoria Honestly, I felt the same way you do. I started in the summer so obviously I had tons of free time but now with school I try to make one once a week.. twice if I have the time. If you set your mind to it, you can do anything. I'm sure you'll figure something out. I'm not as big as a lot of gurus so if you need advice, I'm here to talk :) xo

soo helpful thank you the kids in my class found out and my teacher put my youtube channel up for the class to see and kids were laughing and i was like so i dont care i like doing videos. and then it just got old. i dont have any subs or coments and i just keep making them because i love youtube.

I told one person about my channel, and i go to a small school so pretty much it spread really fast and when people first told me they knew i had a channel i flipped out but then i noticed.. no one really cares!!! And some people bring it up thinking ill be embarassed but i show them im not and they just think its kinda cool :)

I use to have a channel called makeupbyallie and I had videos up for only 2 months and meganheartsmakeup, meganrosette and 400 others were subscribed but the people at school really got to me and I stopped making them. I want to start now becuase i'm in 8th grade and i feel like if i get made fun of now i can take it when i'm in high school. and a lot of my friends have been telling me to make videos and i really want to do it and they said that they would support me if i got made fun of at school. but i don't want to do videos behind my parent's back but i don't know how to convince them.

i told everyone i know about my youtube and even my teachers know about it! we even watched my videos in class for fun. i can see how some people wouldn't be comfortable with that but we just have fun with it and laugh it off. i think its great having people in real life know about your youtube!

Great advice..and I have my own channel..now i am older i do not go to school..but I kind of slipped and put my work on facebook..and the people i grew up with and went to school with were not very supportive..but on here the support system is amazing..the only thing i find that is negitive is that when people subscribe to you and ask you to subscribe to them then they unsubscribe..I support everyone and i do this 4 fun..yes I look at how many subs i have but I learn a craft

Hey Lo, I have a channel and i really love making videos and i have told some of my friends and 2 have made their own beauty channels already and subbed to me and all & its just really fun . I have thought about posting my videos on facebook (I have posted my music videos on there and ppeople liked them) and/or telling more people , because I'm pretty sure other people would enjoy it but I'm not sure if I should. Would that be to much? What do you girls think?

Hey Lo! I love your videos and I also love your website too! Videos aren't really my thing, I would rather have a website. But, I have no idea how to do it. I have iWeb on my computer, but don't know how to publish it or anything. I would love if you did a video on how you started out and stuff like that. Keep it up!

I use to have a channel called makeupbyallie and I had videos up for only 2 months and meganheartsmakeup, meganrosette and 400 others were subscribed but the people at school really got to me and I stopped making them. It's something I really love and so passionate about fashion and beauty so hopefully I get the guts to do it again and do what I love to do

yeah i really want to! i would have alreaady if it wasn't for people at school but I really don't want to regret not doing it, because fashion and makeup are honestly my passion. I want to be confident so I really just want to go for it. :)

Hey Lo! I really want to start doing Youtube videos but my parents aren't for it. Even my sister. i told everyone i know about my youtube and even my teachers know about it! we even watched my videos in class for fun. i can see how some people wouldn't be comfortable with that but we just have fun with it and laugh it off. i think its great having people in real life know about your youtube!

Great advice..and I have my own channel..now i am older i do not go to school..but I kind of slipped and put my work on facebook..and the people i grew up with and went to school with were not very supportive..but on here the support system is amazing..the only thing i find that is negitive is that when people subscribe to you and ask you to subscribe to them then they unsubscribe..I support everyone and i do this 4 fun..yes I look at how many subs i have but I learn a craft

You should taking thru the typical filming and editing process of your videos and how you work with lighting and such, that would be sooo helpful!! I know there's a lot of tips and tricks out there and it would be sooo awesome if you could help those who want to start a channel out with them!!
