@anyolthingifancy Hi there, thanks for taking the time to watch one of my videos and to post a message. It's always great to meet others who love silk painting. The silk I painted on on this video is SILK CHIFFON, which comes in many thicknesses and weights. Within the first few seconds you can actually see through the petals of the flower I'm painting, to the table below. Looking for more silk painting tips? Check out my How-to-paint-on-silk website :-)
Thank you for responding. I watched more of your videos and saw at one of your booths the chiffon is more apparent.
The chiffon I am familiar with as a new silk painter is 8mm. Although I know other silks have various weights for some reason I had the idea that this "was" the weight of chiffon.
Love your style and colour sense! and I will chek out your site. Thanks again
@anyolthingifancy Oh you're very welcome! So pleased I've been able to help, I know what it's like to be a beginner, and I remember all the things I had to learn when I was starting out, and I now share those in my online silk painting courses. Let me know if you have any questions, any time. Season's Greetings! Cheers, Teena
@rosie56555 Hey there Rosie, thanks for dropping by! After the silk has been hand-painted it can be turned into any number of things, from scarves to clothing, wall hangings, paintings, lampshades, book covers and oh so much more. Check out my How-to-paint-on-silk website if you'd like to find out more about how to paint on silk.
the painting is lovely but that looks like habotai silk and definitely not silk chiffon? which is typically very gauzy
