  • "But who wants to look at the same broad night after night." LOL!

  • Can anyone post Laverne & Shirley singing "When Johnny Comes Marching Home" in the Shotz Talent Show????

  • Doesn't get much better than this........"Who wants to look at the same broad night after night"...................CLASSIC!!

  • i like it. thumbs up.

  • These guy's were AWESOME,This is one of the greatest bits of all time.......Love Max just sitting there turning the sheets.....Classic.......Lenny & Squiggy rock

  • They were brilliant....

  • i remember exactly where i was the first time i heard this like 25 yrs ago ,classic

  • These guys are a hoot. I'm still searching for "The Look" - I remember reading the end credits, Michael McKean (Lenny) actually wrote the song. Probably did with this one too. Genius. Makes me belive that maybe it was no laugh track in the background. David Lander revived his Squiggy role in "Scary Movie". Has "Lenny" ever showed up anywhere?

  • lenny and squiggy rock i mean they are like awsome i love lenny lol

  • this is utter comedic brilliance. this makes me long for the days of great television.

  • Classic funny ish!

  • Haven't seen this clip in probably decades (though have the audio somewhere)...still hilarious...great post...thanks for keeping it alive...

  • Man they were high?

  • LMFAO I STILL LOVE THIS!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Stephen..... what's that stand up comedian's name who plays the guitar and sings? He should cover this song.

  • Rodney Carrington?

  • it's about 2 nights in a row, I tear up laughing when I hear that, Lenny and Squiggy were and awesome comedic duo!

  • I still love this LMFAO

  • Lenny and Squiggy are a great comedic duo!

  • Have you seen how frigion talented the guy who plays Lenny really is??? You should hear how well he did the British accent in that group he was in. OMG, I thought it was someone else!!!!!! lol He's a hell of a singer!!!!!

  • Yes Michael McKean (Lenny) is very talented and though he plays a lovable goofball on TV he's actually really smart in real life and the group he was in is called Spinal Tap.

  • Yeah that was it.. I couldn't think of it at the time. He's done Broadway too. Also, seen him on The Nanny and interviews. He's so damn smart, it blows my mind..lol. I grew up loving Happy Days and Have been in contact several times with Henry Winkler..We talk about everything, but the show..lol. But, I love these old shows. Then of course the spin off of Laverne & Shirley. They don't make em like this any more..

  • of course they dont make good TV shows anymore, people of this generation wouldn't know good TV if it came up and bit em in the ass, sure Im 19 but Im very nostalgic I hate the new bullshit they put on tv and try to pass it off as entertainment.

  • You just did what I was about to do..lol. My son is 16 and even he appreciates the old shows. It's rare to see today's young youth with any common sense and not trying to get on some kind of a reality show..No thanks to their dead beat parents!!! People see my son out and brag on him because they can't believe how honest and well behaved he is. I admit, I'm a honest bitch..lol, But, I raised a hell of a young man. TC!!!

  • Well, thats good, people always praise me for honesty as well and yes I love these old shows, I can't stomach all this crap being polluted on the airwaves it just brings my piss to a boil. Hell me and my friend are actually gonna dress up for Halloween today as Lenny and Squiggy, I'm gonna be Lenny because I have a red jacket that looks similar to his.

  • You should take a picture and post it. My son has won contests all over, as well as my brother-both dressed as Gene Simmons and was on a news station in Cincinnati Oh with my brother and my son did a commercial for them that aired 2 weeks later. They won 2 free tickets. My brother made the costumes, the 1st time my son seen Kiss, he was 7.. All the fans and security guards were giving them all kinds of free stuff. People wouldn't stop taking his picture when he was in his costume. lol

  • So..Did you and your friend dress up like them? If you did Hope you got a picture.. When my son was decked out in his Gene Simmons costume-my brother made his and his own, they won contest all over, but anyway..Anytime he was dressed up-people would ask him to pose for pictures with them..lol. He hates them frigion high healed boots though. My brother did the art on them as well. TC!!!!

  • We did, but sadly no pictures were taken as my friend who portrayed Squiggy is camera shy and well, I had to respect that you know and me... I too am kinda camera shy you know? Sorry camizowner.

  • I'm far from shy..in fact, I was well known everywhere i went-in a good crazy way of course. But, my son is going on 17 and we have YET, to take a picture together professionally. I have thousands of pictures of him that hell, most still needs developed..lol, But, I never broke down and and ours done. I've paid for his and really got some neat ones because I am creative and knew more than the photographer when it came to getting the money shot..I hope you had fun!!!! TC, Julia

  • I did throw one hell of a Halloween party the year after I got out of the hospital. I was still in the wheelchair from shattering my leg and I dressed like a slice of pizza..lol. I bought all these prizes for all the kids from my former daycare and friends/families kids-it was so hectic, I threw all the stuff I bought and a couple of the girls I was friends with just started making sure all the toys were gave evenly with all the kids..lol. NEVER AGAIN, But-it was a blast!! Have a great day!!!

  • Ouch! How'd you shatter your leg? Also me and my friend already picked out what we're gonna be for next year's Halloween, we're gonna be Fonzie(me) and Richie Cunningham(my friend) and yesteryear we were Laurel(me) and Hardy(my friend)

  • I slipped on black ice on Fri. the 13th and shattered both bones and my ankle in my left leg. Several specialist said, I wouldn't walk again, but that was NOT an option!!! I will always prove you wrong lol. Other than being burned alive-it was the worst pain imaginable though.

  • I just spoke to Henry a couple weeks ago.His birthday just passed on Oct. 30th. My brother brought me a "Fonzie" figure he bought off Ebay and gave it to me the day before Henry's bd..lol. So the area you are in, do the people appreciate the creativeness? Some kids probably wouldn't..but, the adults should. Even though I proved the doctors wrong, my leg is killing me today, so I'm gonna go rest it. Be well and TC!!!

  • Wow !

    Raw talent !!

    Oooozing with.....

  • Everything is perfect. I could watch this forever.

  • I can't stop laughing.

  • It's actually got a GREAT Melody , and could-be a Really Good Song for a Doo-Wop Group , if re-written with "Serious" Lyrics (by Michael McKean ???)

  • One of the funniest things i ever saw on TV! LENNY & the SQUIGTONE RULE!!!

  • i used to watch this as a kid but its only now, seeing it as an adult that I realise what genius it was....oh my sides are aching :-)

  • this song is night after night and its about 2 nights in a row!!!!!!

    HAHAHAHHA l love them !!

  • I loved the Talent shows they did.

  • Even true love can be boring night after night

The best song Lenny and the Squigtones ever made...

  • check out the look on shirleys fase at 1:20,Max was the master mind of this trio LOL good stuff...

  • this is the greatest vid 10 out of 10

  • Id So be a Roady for them

  • I wish someone would post a clip of the one where Laverne & Shirley were in the talent show, where they were on roller skates with Max Shotz, and they did a jungle theme!! ~IT WAS AWESOME!! :)

  • ok I posted it

  • Thank you!!!

there just is not the comedic talent and genius anymore, or the physical comedy these characters portrayed!!

    thanks!!!

  • "Cos who wants to look at the same broad night after night."

    Brilliant.

  • thats awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Then your birthday rolled around...and you let me go to town.

    These Lyrics are comedic genius!

  • I remember watching this when it first aired.

Hilarious and these guys were a perfect comedy duo on the show to team with L&S.

McKeon's a talented songwriter (Spinal Tap, Mighty Wind, etc.) Great stuff.

  • Sounds as good as any Elvis Costello song.

  • Great, creative lyrics. Hilarious.

  • "Then I'll fine me someone new, someone who's not as dumb as you" lol!

  • Apparently they couldn't say "Who wants to SLEEP with the same broad...night after night." If you're lucky enough to have the album of "Lenny & The Squigtones" you'll notice they had to edit that just a bit.

  • ohhh!..this is gold!..thank you for posting this! i only watched laverne and shirley just to see lenny and squiggy!..they stole the show every time....

  • "wont make me sleep on the sofa night after night..." haha

i love it when these two sing ...lol funny.thx for posting it!

  • they were not half bad..besides delivering the important message of not getting stuck looking at the same broad everynight..

  • man, i loved this song! laugh out loud funny!

thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you for posting this! lenny and the squiggtones rock!

  • Gaaah, I love that! LOL! I haven't seen that one in ages! Thanks for sharing!

  • this is the best. thanks !!!

  • trj

    wrbgaebgre

  • Does anyone remember who played Max? I think he later went on to be someone famous or something. Can't quite remember. Course when you're on stage with Lenny & Squiggy you kind of pale by comparison.......

  • Genius! "Cause even true love can be boring, night after night." Is the world ready for Squigtone mania???

  • This song is actually better than some of the crappy songs we have today! LOL

  • Now, this version versus the album version. I dunno.

  • Absolutely hilarious! It just reminds me why Laverne and Shirley is one of my all time favorite shows. Before they moved to Hollywood of course.

  • Absolutely priceless. THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!

  • so far there are no negative comments, and to honor this streak i will hand the keyboard to my sister Nika, Nika:Lenny and the squigtones RULE...., she later continues to write in an incoherent fashion,(I deleted it), I will be quite to honor her choice of T.V. shows.

  • Epic!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • This is one of my favorite Lenny and the Squigtones songs..."Who wants to look at the same broad night after night..." LOL!

  • Bowties and t-shirt's LOL, no that's fashion :)

  • but who wants to look at the same broad night after night??!!!

I remeber peeing my pants to this when I was 11!!!!

  • I remember holding a cassette recorder microphone up to the TV learning the song with a friend and havin'a blast singin' it..Did I think I'd actually be watching it again in 20 some years?... Nah.. Thanks Mr. Gates.. 'now THIS is entertainment!'

  • Lmao.

  • Lmao.

  • ohman. i love them. lol.

  • Lenny and Squiggy are two of the best T.V. characters of all time. LOVE this song. When are they going to release their live album on cd?!
