I used froyo once and i didnt have the market and a few other apps, how do i get them if i decide to go back to froyo? Last question, lol, i rooted my phone (thanks to you and your videos) and my phone wants to update with that root patch by sprint i believe. If i download the update will it take away my root? Sick shit, dude! I've followed everyone of your videos on rooting and roms and such by now, and yours are the best! Granted, it took me over 3 weeks to be able to root, but then it turned out to be as stupid is not being able to downgrade to .5 from .6.

Anyways man, his ROM just so happens to be one of the main reasons why I wanted to root my phone, so just wanted to say thanks for the tutorial on it all.

Your rooting video was so easy to follow for someone technically challenged, but for some reason when I download the rom and try to flash it I get "aborted" error in recovery mode at the bottom of the screen. then I looked in the ROM zip file and it was empty. do you think im doing something wrong or is it a bad ROM file? please help

I have tried to put cm6 on my CDMA Hero, however, when I tried the flashing procedure, I just get a black screen with a black phone and a red exclamation point surrounded by a triangle.

@Adrenaline91387 To flash another ROM just wipe the current one and flash the new one. As for the LWP it may only work for Regaw but some ROMs come with LWP already.

It stays on the htc screen and i tried down and home aswell and i get to the first screen but when i hit home for recovery it gets stuck on the htc screen again then i have to take my battery out to restart my phone

@ill5995 i finally got mine to work rom manager used to say my recovery mode was broken. all i did was flash clockworkmod recovery and then scroll down to the bottom and flash alternate recovery and after that i scrolled back to the top and flash back to clockworkmod and it worked from there btw androidadvocate ur the man thanks for these tutorials thanks to u im currently running cm6 and and my hero is alot faster and it just feels like a brand new phone.

The live wall paper thing didnt work for me, I did it like you said and when I slide my lock screen down I am asked "nexus one launcher" or HTC sense launcer, I select HTC and my HTC widgets are not working/not there.

Hey bro great video, but u forgot to explain, once u unzip the rom file in the system, the sys will ask you for a permission for use the file, I already did this on my phone so is working perfectly.. I brick my phone using the "ROM manager premium" app. I take to sprint store, the fixed and now am using live wallpaper, root phone, rom space in my phone thanks is great, specially for txt side (speak).

@starbucks1117 I haven't checked that. I think you can use different roms cause I seen someone with a rom called damage control and the wallpaper was live. BUT make sure the rom is for HTC Hero tho.
