But seriously, I recently got a Sony laptop with stickers on, and I didn't remove them and continued to use the mouse for a couple of weeks, and the friction between the surface & the mouse increased, and when I removed them, a very fine layer was removed of the laptop (not visible), and the friction is now greater there than the other side that was never used. So be aware. Best to use sticky stuff remover and microfibre cloth & be sure the rinse well with water afterwards with microfibre cloth.
