With only my own character's equipped gear, +1 trinket I have in my bags to optimize, i'm coming up with 849,862,656 combinations. I feel like that's way too many and it's still taking horrendously long
@TheJorjj 30 items are just a huge amount. Imagine that for each item, there is at least 2 valid gemming options, and each of those two has at least 2 valid reforging options. That means 4 items for each input item, which translates into 120 items. Assuming that you have an average of 2 items per slot (16-17 slots, 30 items is close to an average of two per slot), that becomes an average of 7 items per slot (120 items / 17 slots).
@19tylerdurden83 The number of combinations obtainable with 7 items per slot is 7^17, which is 268.194.285.138.079. My algorithm can do "magic" in reducing this number, but it can't do "miracles". You have to either use a more powerful pc, or reduce the number of input items, there is just no way around this.
@eddie4888 It's very different from Rawr actually.
This doesn't formulate anything, it finds out your best setup based on scales, caps and items.
You are free to get the scales from any tool of your choise, a spreadsheet, a post on ej, rawr or simulationcraft, depending on your personal taste, whether or not you think that a simulation is more accurate than a formulation, or because your class module hasn't been accurate in rawr since tbh.
Sorry but this just doesnt work. It wont download my character

Taking horrifically long to optimize with <30 items selected. Any thoughts? Taking well over an hour.

It does seem a bit like rawr, but at the same time also seems kind of neat. Might try this out a little later and see how it really stacks up

Seems a lot like Rawr
