this isnt about race..this about class...this attacks the lower class citizens ie poor folk..which most dont have I.D.s, i understand to the lamen to most people its common since to have such a law..but when it comes to the poor and many elderly people its not so simple. they want you to think its about illegal immigrants..but in all actuality the amount of illegals voting are pretty slim and doesn't effect elections very much, if at all. But i guess you believe any thing a certain "party" says.

It's about keeping illegal aliens from having their 3rd world and uneducated influence in our elections. And it is also about keeping a certain political party from using illegal aliens to win elections.

What it is NOT about is class as you so foolishly argue. If these "poor folk" you speak of won't take the simple time of going down to their local Gov center and get an ID, then they probably won't take the time to go vote anyways.

Getting an ID is practically free ($5 in South Carolina) and a bus ride is about $1 or $2. So maybe if your poor folk will purchase the 80 min. package instead of the 120 min. package on their prepaid Virgin mobile cell phone just for one month, they can get an ID no problem..

my father swears that asking to prove who you are when voting it somehow discrimination. as if your race determines weather or not you have id. i pointed out that the states were offering free ids to whoever needed one and STILL "its racist". lol. we have had instances where dead people have voted and where one person has voted multiple times. none of that matters though. its all to try to keep minorities from voting...lol. facepalm

California just passed it's version of the Dream Act,this country has gone to hell in a very short time frame and it's shocking but for some reason it doesn't register to some people.I may not even vote next year,to hell with it.

@KingKaio I disagree, if someone is old enough to vote and a legal citizen they can get an id card in any state. Anyone who drives, has a bank account, rental agreement, job, ect... have to prove who they are, your vote should be just as important and require the same proof!
