i have couple of questions 1. can you get free apps from window marketplace 2.does it record good videos 3. whats the difference between camcorder and video 4.can you do a video of CV and Mobitv
@HowToWithAndrew Yes, it's quite a good phone - not worth it if you already have a Samsung Jack, but if you're coming from another phone, it's a good choice. Be sure to get the Windows Phone 6.5 update!
@ThoughtsMedia But don't you need a data plan to access it? Like if I have wi fi but my phone doesnt have the data plan (meaning I cant send picture messages and get on the internet) I still cant access it?
Wait. So when u corrected yourself by adding the note. You're saying it should work at 3g speed in the U.S. and Asia/Europe? One more thing, can you set one of your custom ringtones for a particular contact or group. And can you set your walpaper to anything that has been bluetoothed or photographed?
Yes, I was wrong about the frequencies: it will work on 3G speeds anywhere in the world where there's 3G. You can't set a custom ringtone on a per-contact basis. Yes, you can change your wallpaper to any image on the device.
yes it does, but when you get home call and say it was stolen before you put ur sim card in it and they ask for a pin for the phone you will be using(not really though but you have to say that) and then you give them the number of an old phone and ur set to go..pretty easy
Interesting thanks. I have been considering this phone a lot (Once the price comes down on it a bit more, as it is at $80 right now) I currently use an almost 3 year old Samsung A707 (Cingular Sync). It amazes me that my old A707 has the same screen resolution as the Jack [240x320] and stereo speakers.
ive heard and now know true that for some reason u cant get a ringtone and set it as a .. ringtone, so couldnt u just record a sound and set that as a specific ringtone?
The Blackjack II doesn't have WiFi...so you can't really say that the features are the same. But the Blackjack II is a nice phone - I used one for about a year.
hmm, can you recomend some AT T phones that DONT flip or slide, with a full keyboard under 100? the jack is alittle to much and the ?BJ's are kinda ugly
Most of the time they go back to the company that sent them to me. Sometimes I'll get to keep them if the company doesn't want them back (this is rare though). I don't sell them though, I tend to keep them for size comparisons, etc.
I like the new phone reviews, but i do have a question for you. In the times that America is going threw with the recession and all it's hard to pay for a $100 and a plan. And being a 13 year old doesn't help either. So i have decided to get a Go Phone.
There's one Go Phone that i want, basically because it's a smart phone. But i can't find any reviews for it, and when i do it's but someone who doesn't know any thing about a phone. So if you could, make a review.
I'm afraid that the only phones I look at are running Windows Mobile phones - it's sort of my speciality. Check out my friends at MobileBurn or Phonescoop - they might have a review of that phone.
im sorry this isnt about the phone but can u do a review video for the hp mini 1000 or can u do a review ro the new hp mini 110 im really thinking of getting a netbook and im debating between the two so please send a message to tell me if u are thanks bye
This question would be better posted on one of my netbook reviews. ;-) I've already requested one of the new HP Mini 1100 netbooks, but they're not shipping yet. If I can get one, I'll definitely be reviewing it. As for the HP Mini 1000, I feel like I've talked about it so much in my other videos, and comments, that I've already reviewed it...but I guess I should do a real review. :-)
I think corporate BRANDING is one of my BIGGEST annoyances. My PC is branded (at least the case which I used, and the internal hardware), my TV is branded, my phone is branded, even my PANTS are branded. As for the free upgrade for Windows Mobile - I wouldn't bet on it. Cell providers want you to PAY FOR EVERYTHING.
Yeah, I know what you mean - I don't mind branding as long as it's not too in my face. As for the 6.5 free upgrade, I'm not very confident Samsung or AT&T will offer it for free, but if it's cheap ($30 or something) it's not such a bad deal.
I like it. This is a good phone of Samsung

Are you going to ask the same question on all my videos? :-) WiFi involves a local network, not AT&T, so they can't/won't charge you for it.

Does it require a pda plan like the blackberry
bj747711 2 years ago
If you want to use data (email + Web) then you'll need a data plan. If you just want to use voice + text, then no.

iAirs0ft 2 years ago
I've heard alot of complaints about the battery life? How is it compared to the motorola you said it was like or the nokia e71?
AskYous 2 years ago
I find that I have to recharge it every 2-3 days, which is pretty average in my experience. I don't have an E71, so I can't compare it to that.

can this phone upgrade to windows mobile 6.5? (once its released)

Neither Samsung nor AT&T is saying anything about the 6.5 upgrade, so I kind of doubt it. It would technically be able to handle it though.

Actually the Jack is a 3G phone in Europe and Asia. It is a Quadband GSM (2G) and a Triband UMTS (3G) phone.
