  • I like it. This is a good phone of Samsung

  • LOL, Verizon disliked the video!!!

  • 1 person could'nt afford a samsung jack

  • 3:54 why was the phone moving by itself ? Lmao just asking x)

  • i have couple of questions 1. can you get free apps from window marketplace 2.does it record good videos 3. whats the difference between camcorder and video 4.can you do a video of CV and Mobitv

  • no sim card?

  • @superman4226 Yes, it's a GSM phone, so there's a SIM card.

    - Jason

  • is this phone considered as a smart phone

  • @static64carlos Yes, it is.

    - Jason

  • should i get this phone ? cause i have a motorola back flip &* i absolutely H A T E it .

  • I just bought one!!! Yeah!!!

    Jason, is it worth it?

  • @HowToWithAndrew Yes, it's quite a good phone - not worth it if you already have a Samsung Jack, but if you're coming from another phone, it's a good choice. Be sure to get the Windows Phone 6.5 update!

    - Jason

  • @HowToWithAndrew How would I do that, Jason?

  • Just bought on =)

  • does the usb cord come with the phone or did you order that

  • ghostt the phone moved by itself

  • if i use wifi on it...will it charge me

  • Are you going to ask the same question on all my videos? :-) WiFi involves a local network, not AT&T, so they can't/won't charge you for it.

    - Jason

  • May you send me a Samsung Jack for free?

  • @ThoughtsMedia But don't you need a data plan to access it? Like if I have wi fi but my phone doesnt have the data plan (meaning I cant send picture messages and get on the internet) I still cant access it?

  • @BabaBubbah93 This question has been asked approximately 2385 times already. Please read the other comments.

    - Jason

  • im a tech geek

  • Wait. So when u corrected yourself by adding the note. You're saying it should work at 3g speed in the U.S. and Asia/Europe? One more thing, can you set one of your custom ringtones for a particular contact or group. And can you set your walpaper to anything that has been bluetoothed or photographed?

  • Yes, I was wrong about the frequencies: it will work on 3G speeds anywhere in the world where there's 3G. You can't set a custom ringtone on a per-contact basis. Yes, you can change your wallpaper to any image on the device.

    - Jason

  • Does it require a pda plan like the blackberry

  • If you want to use data (email + Web) then you'll need a data plan. If you just want to use voice + text, then no.

    - Jason

  • you need a data plan now as of september 6th,,30$ or more

  • yes it does, but when you get home call and say it was stolen before you put ur sim card in it and they ask for a pin for the phone you will be using(not really though but you have to say that) and then you give them the number of an old phone and ur set to go..pretty easy

  • Are the external speakers on the phone stereo or mono?

  • I believe they're mono.

    - Jason

  • Interesting thanks. I have been considering this phone a lot (Once the price comes down on it a bit more, as it is at $80 right now) I currently use an almost 3 year old Samsung A707 (Cingular Sync). It amazes me that my old A707 has the same screen resolution as the Jack [240x320] and stereo speakers.

  • Can you get WiFi on the blackjack 2?

  • No, the Blackjack II does not have WiFi.

    - Jason

  • to late i got the jack, DOES ANYONE KNO HOW TO RECORD SOUND ON THE JACK??

  • is it possible to get a background on this phone

  • You mean to change the background? Yes, of course.

    - Jason

  • What is AT&T means?

  • AT&T is the mobile phone carrier in the USA that's selling this phone.

    - Jason

  • hmm, im trying to decide between the NOKIAe71x or the Samsung Jack?

  • I've heard alot of complaints about the battery life? How is it compared to the motorola you said it was like or the nokia e71?

  • I find that I have to recharge it every 2-3 days, which is pretty average in my experience. I don't have an E71, so I can't compare it to that.

    - Jason

  • can this phone upgrade to windows mobile 6.5? (once its released)

  • Neither Samsung nor AT&T is saying anything about the 6.5 upgrade, so I kind of doubt it. It would technically be able to handle it though.

    - Jason

  • ur the first video host who has ever replied to my questions, thanks really appreciate it.

just for that im going to subscribe

  • Thanks, I do my best. :-)

    - Jason

  • Whats the performance difference with this and the black jack2

  • The Jack is faster in every way - it has a faster CPU, and more RAM.

    - Jason

  • oh, well since the features are the same, im gonna buy the blackjack 2 to save 50 bucks, if there is anything bad coming up plz tell

  • The Blackjack II doesn't have WiFi...so you can't really say that the features are the same. But the Blackjack II is a nice phone - I used one for about a year.

    - Jason

  • hmm, can you recomend some AT T phones that DONT flip or slide, with a full keyboard under 100? the jack is alittle to much and the ?BJ's are kinda ugly

  • Sorry, I'm not an expert on AT&T phones, so I'm not sure what to suggest.

    - Jason

  • I have the blackjack 2 and ive had it for 2 months and I love it! =]]

  • In my experience, no - I haven't had any dropped calls with it, but I'm not on AT&T's network, I'm in Canada.

    - Jason

  • what do you do with all the phones that you get? do you use them all or do you sell them after the reviews?

  • Most of the time they go back to the company that sent them to me. Sometimes I'll get to keep them if the company doesn't want them back (this is rare though). I don't sell them though, I tend to keep them for size comparisons, etc.

    - Jason

  • Actually the Jack is a 3G phone in Europe and Asia. It is a Quadband GSM (2G) and a Triband UMTS (3G) phone.

  • Thanks, I've added a note to my video - frequencies are such a headache. :-(

    - Jason

  • This looks so much like the Motorola Q9c,

    yet it's Samsung,

    which kicks Motorola's ass!

    I love it!

  • I like the new phone reviews, but i do have a question for you. In the times that America is going threw with the recession and all it's hard to pay for a $100 and a plan. And being a 13 year old doesn't help either. So i have decided to get a Go Phone.

There's one Go Phone that i want, basically because it's a smart phone. But i can't find any reviews for it, and when i do it's but someone who doesn't know any thing about a phone. So if you could, make a review.

    Samsung A177 - GoPhone

  • I'm afraid that the only phones I look at are running Windows Mobile phones - it's sort of my speciality. Check out my friends at MobileBurn or Phonescoop - they might have a review of that phone.

    - Jason

  • Plz I need to see more of your laptop reviews :D..keep them coming

  • I'll see what I can do...I'm glad you like the laptop/netbook reviews. :-)

    - Jason

  • who doesn't..you are the best critic in town

    :D

  • im sorry this isnt about the phone but can u do a review video for the hp mini 1000 or can u do a review ro the new hp mini 110 im really thinking of getting a netbook and im debating between the two so please send a message to tell me if u are thanks bye

  • This question would be better posted on one of my netbook reviews. ;-) I've already requested one of the new HP Mini 1100 netbooks, but they're not shipping yet. If I can get one, I'll definitely be reviewing it. As for the HP Mini 1000, I feel like I've talked about it so much in my other videos, and comments, that I've already reviewed it...but I guess I should do a real review. :-)

    - Jason

  • I think corporate BRANDING is one of my BIGGEST annoyances. My PC is branded (at least the case which I used, and the internal hardware), my TV is branded, my phone is branded, even my PANTS are branded. As for the free upgrade for Windows Mobile - I wouldn't bet on it. Cell providers want you to PAY FOR EVERYTHING.

  • Yeah, I know what you mean - I don't mind branding as long as it's not too in my face. As for the 6.5 free upgrade, I'm not very confident Samsung or AT&T will offer it for free, but if it's cheap ($30 or something) it's not such a bad deal.

    - Jason

  • tht usb thing looks like a usb on one end and an HDMI thing

  • It might look like it, but it's definitely not. ;-)

    - Jason

  • At like 3:54 am I missing something or did the phone move itself?

  • Haha...sort of! The table I shoot the videos on is slippery plastic, so the phone slid a little - but it was gravity, not poltergeists. ;-)

    - Jason

  • i would take that WAY before i would get the BJ2, or most any other samsung phones.

  • I totally agree. I don't know what Samsung was thinking when they decided to put the port on the side of most if not all of their phones.

  • Yeah, it's a strange thing - not very practical!

    - Jason

  • blackberry curve qwerty keyboard shape?
