Good thing this is was deleted. didn't tony stark have troubles in the first movie trying to fly that thing? and in the movies logic, it doesnt even take a 10000 people to achieve what he can do in a cave.
i think part of the reason he's such a dick in this film is because he's dying. he wanted to venice with pepper but she said no because there was too much going on and she obviously didn't know what was going on until he fixed it, but he believed he "wasn't going to make it to the next birthday", so this (i think) is a sort of denial type coping mechanism.
...
but yeah....he's still a total dick in most of this movie.
